This is the second year we've visited the Family Christmas Tree Farm looking for a Christmas tree last minute. Same as last year, we were not sure if we were going to get a Christmas tree since years past it has been an ordeal purchasing, transporting, cutting and placing the tree. But my hesitation is mainly that I'm in an arm cast second holiday/Christmas season in a row, making it extremely difficult for me to help out and leaving all the hard work to hubs. I'm so blessed he's all mine! I love Christmas and of course need a Christmas tree regardless of the situation... so when I say, let's go take a look and see what trees they have, the hubs is all aboard! Located out in El Cajon it is not terribly far away, about 20 min give or take. Each time we've visited, it's been in the evening, not extremely packed busy, a consistent flow of customers coming and going. Our first visit, I didn't know what to expect. It's not a huge Christmas tree farm, big enough to have a good selection of different trees of all sizes. Pre-cut and cut your own. I don't know what it is, maybe under the evening light, the snow flocked trees stood out like a shining star! Two years in a row, we bought a snow flocked tree, last year a Douglas fir, this year a Noble fir and both at an incredible price! Granted, it was the week before Christmas, the trees were both only $99! I loved our first tree last year, but I love this year's tree even more! We came, we saw, I found my perfect tree in under 10 minutes! We both walked around the cut trees and I just knew which one I wanted, but we both made sure there wasn't another that looked better. About 7-8' tall, he was fluffy, evenly spaced branches, perfectly straight center stem at top, he was the one! The process was super simple and fast, all done and ready to go home with 5 minutes! We took our tree tag and paid for it. Next we found an employee that removed the base (optional rebar stand if you want to keep it), bagged our tree and placed it in our car (Tesla MY) and it fit perfectly! We trimmed the trunk base and up it went! With some minor adjustments, we had our Christmas tree all set up! Smoothest year so far! This year's tree was perfect! Absolutely gorgeous! Simply the best! It's basically a giant dirt-filled playground free-for-all where kids can just be kids, and I'm so here for it! We first came during Halloween last year, and it's easily one of the best pumpkin patch experiences in San Diego. I LOVE that you can buy admission with everything included instead of constantly buying individual activity tickets. It makes the day so much easier with kids, and for everything they offer, I think it's a great value. Just know: it's a FARM. Dirt road, dirt parking lot, dirt everywhere. Expect your kids to leave filthy and happy. The entrance can also be easy to pass the first time since there isn't much warning before the turn. They do have handicap parking right up front, which is a huge plus. There is SO much to do: endless slides and bikes, petting areas with the sweetest animals, goat feeding, chickens, tortoises, horses, cows and llamas, a hay maze, shaded jumping blob, tricycle course with tunnels, toddler area, corn pit, inflatables, water slides, sunflower fields and hayrides. And if your kid loves construction equipment, this place is HEAVEN. There are endless dump trucks, excavators and bulldozer toys, plus real equipment the kids can actually climb on. Even when it's busy, there's so much to do that it never feels like kids are fighting over one toy. They also have a little snack bar where you can buy food, drinks and refreshments, but I love that they allow you to bring your own food and drinks too. There are tons of shaded patio areas with tables, so you can pack a picnic, sit down and take a break before the kids run off for round two. Everyone working and volunteering here has always been incredibly friendly. One of the owners even drove our hayride and told us about all the animals, which made it feel even more special. We now look forward to their monthly themed events and make them one of the highlights of our month. We're already excited for Halloween and Christmas! Such a wholesome, family-owned place where kids can climb, explore, get dirty and HAVE FUN. If you have a construction obsessed kid around ages 2-8, you absolutely need to bring them here. We could stay all day and still find more to do!

Honestly, it felt like a rip-off. Next time I'll just take my kid to a free playground. Way cleaner, and I don't leave feeling like I got scammed. Would not recommend.

I got some great size jalapeños that I'm going to wrap and bacon but first put cream cheese inside keeping it keto with that one!! And bananas were very reasonable and a small head of cabbage I got plans for that later ;) all of today's goodies was $10.10. As compared to any other grocery store, I'm sure this was the better deal and I shopped local!!! The only downside is they are limited in the refrigerated section, there's no cream cheese and other stuff one might need, but it's stocked with various beverages, milk, local salsa, Mexican cheeses and a few other random things like butter and eggs.

She explained that because we requested carrots rather than more watery fruits, it cost them more. I did not find that explanation reasonable, especially since the price was not posted or communicated beforehand. I also noticed that I was overcharged for a few other items. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. The customer service was not welcoming, the pricing was unclear, and the information I received over the phone was not accurate. I made a 30-minute trip specifically because of what I was told on the phone, and I would not make that trip again. This was my first visit and, unfortunately, it will be my last.

It does cost a little more, compared to getting a tree from a larger store (Costco, Walmart) but worth it in my opinion. I don't mind paying for the overall fun experience. There was a range of different kinds of trees, a variety of sizes and heights. Trees were grouped by the type of tree and their sizes. There were workers around to help with explaining the types of trees and the differences. After a tree is selected they can put a stand on it, wrap it in netting and load it into your car. Very helpful workers and overall had a good experience selecting a tree. We enjoy coming here to pick out a tree, and we will definitely return next year. Out of convenience and the attractions they offered we chose to come here. Arrived just after 1pm when they opened: Free entrance and parking. Each attraction requires a ticket, each ticket is $5 or they sell them in a pack. Socks are required to go in the bounce house/jumpers/ slides. They do sell sock for $1 and a few change. My daughter went on one of the bounce houses, a plane, car and swing ride and got to pet/feed some goats. It wasn't busy since it was early and a bit warm. The workers operating the rides were nice for the most they gave us a heads up on times left on the rides. The lady at the front entrance was very kind and she answered all of our questions. They had so many pumpkins for sale, and beautiful decors thought the tickets were a bit on the pricey side. But overall my daughter had a blast.
