This is the second year we've visited the Family Christmas Tree Farm looking for a Christmas tree last minute. Same as last year, we were not sure if we were going to get a Christmas tree since years past it has been an ordeal purchasing, transporting, cutting and placing the tree. But my hesitation is mainly that I'm in an arm cast second holiday/Christmas season in a row, making it extremely difficult for me to help out and leaving all the hard work to hubs. I'm so blessed he's all mine! I love Christmas and of course need a Christmas tree regardless of the situation... so when I say, let's go take a look and see what trees they have, the hubs is all aboard! Located out in El Cajon it is not terribly far away, about 20 min give or take. Each time we've visited, it's been in the evening, not extremely packed busy, a consistent flow of customers coming and going. Our first visit, I didn't know what to expect. It's not a huge Christmas tree farm, big enough to have a good selection of different trees of all sizes. Pre-cut and cut your own. I don't know what it is, maybe under the evening light, the snow flocked trees stood out like a shining star! Two years in a row, we bought a snow flocked tree, last year a Douglas fir, this year a Noble fir and both at an incredible price! Granted, it was the week before Christmas, the trees were both only $99! I loved our first tree last year, but I love this year's tree even more! We came, we saw, I found my perfect tree in under 10 minutes! We both walked around the cut trees and I just knew which one I wanted, but we both made sure there wasn't another that looked better. About 7-8' tall, he was fluffy, evenly spaced branches, perfectly straight center stem at top, he was the one! The process was super simple and fast, all done and ready to go home with 5 minutes! We took our tree tag and paid for it. Next we found an employee that removed the base (optional rebar stand if you want to keep it), bagged our tree and placed it in our car (Tesla MY) and it fit perfectly! We trimmed the trunk base and up it went! With some minor adjustments, we had our Christmas tree all set up! Smoothest year so far! This year's tree was perfect! Absolutely gorgeous! Simply the best! You can also feed the goats + chickens by paying $1 for 1 token to put into the feed machine. The employees were friendly and smiles on their faces - can't really ask for more. We didn't purchase any pumpkins this time around but it was nice to watch the kids run around and play.

Oma's Family Farm is such a special little gem. You can really tell how much care goes into maintaining the farm and creating a welcoming environment. My little one had the best time exploring and interacting with everything. It's one of those places that feels both relaxing and engaging, which is hard to find. I do wish the playground areas were open daily because they're such a highlight and would make it even more of a go-to spot during the week. They're the first to ever create such a thing! Just go into the fridge, pick out your goodies, and pay cash by putting it in their cash box or send payment via Venmo (the QR code is posted). And if someone tries to leave without paying, there's a camera on you at all times; I'm sure they have ways of finding people I couldn't find a parking lot, so I parked across the street. We ended up staying for 4 hours and the kids had a blast! We were really impressed with the employees working that day. Every single was was friendly, concerned with safety, clear on safety instructions to the kids (ie bounce house and taking turns on the slide) and efficient with running the rides. The only thing I would suggest is more seating areas, but overall a fun experience!

Meanwhile, another customer received their item and paid at the front, so it was a little confusing. I rushed through the store so I could get the fruit bowl started. I ordered the small #3 fruit bowl, but unfortunately most of the fruit in my bowl wasn't very sweet. On the positive side, the produce section was well stocked and prices seemed competitive. Out of convenience and the attractions they offered we chose to come here. Arrived just after 1pm when they opened: Free entrance and parking. Each attraction requires a ticket, each ticket is $5 or they sell them in a pack. Socks are required to go in the bounce house/jumpers/ slides. They do sell sock for $1 and a few change. My daughter went on one of the bounce houses, a plane, car and swing ride and got to pet/feed some goats. It wasn't busy since it was early and a bit warm. The workers operating the rides were nice for the most they gave us a heads up on times left on the rides. The lady at the front entrance was very kind and she answered all of our questions. They had so many pumpkins for sale, and beautiful decors thought the tickets were a bit on the pricey side. But overall my daughter had a blast.
