He gives this class 5 stars, especially the students he was so happy to see. And the disruptions happy kids cause in classrooms is totally not ideal for everyone trying to learn, and most importantly, the teacher trying to teach. Somewhere, over the rainbow, there is a happy medium where a guy who truly does want to learn, can do just that. Occasionally he needs help and guidance to do so. And because no other guides, an IEP, or any special needs kids are not accommodated or welcome, we are on the search to find someone who does accept special learners. This particular class recognizes none of this. I recommend looking over the paperwork introducing classes such as this one, and going over it with the instructor. We try things out, we disclose as much as we can. These are elementary school aged kids. And no one is perfect. All of this was so upsetting for me as I felt we finally found something successful. Review - I planned this for my birthday and I had such a fun time. Davina really walks you through the steps in an easy to understand way and shows you how to do each step on her own canvas. It was totally fun and doable for my friends who are not generally crafting people! The studio has great decorations and ambiance, Davina gave us glasses, glow in the dark hair clip, and a hat to take home with us. The final painting is so pretty and glows in the dark. I got there and everything was set up. Joyce was nice and everyone settled in. She asked if I wanted to join and I laughed. Nope! My friends were like 'just try it' so, begrudgingly, I did. I was anxious because I just knew it was going to be so ugly if I did it, but Joyce said it was designed for kids even as young as seven and if she could help then make something beautiful, she could help me. You guys. I had so much fun. Joyce painted along with us and walked around giving instructions. I was pretty needy because I wanted my painting to be something I wanted to keep and she was very patient with me. It was way more fun than I expected it to be and I LOVED my painting so decided to book my own party. This is a super fun, inexpensive, group activity. Check it out!

I parked on the street, so I visited the recreation building for a bit, but there's a drive that goes up a hill to enter the actual parking lot. The park sport restrooms, a playground, picnic tables, and a large grassy area with a slight decline. I was most pleased with the trail that headed up a moderate hill pass a seasonal stream, and up and around the park, until it offers a scenic view from the top of the park. There were benches here and there and trash cans along the trail. It's a nice family park.

I'll definitely return in our rainy season to see the creek with water in it. The one thing I did not like or appreciate about this park is the same thing I don't like about many San Diego County Parks. The restroom offer no privacy for it's visitors because the stalls have no doors . This provided a scene that will forever be etched in my mind AND was equally embarrassing for the other restroom user. It also robbed the Park of the Five Star review it so richly deserved. The park is also home to a recreation Center which I did not visit. I took a small walk on the trail. My podiatrist instructed me to give up hiking. I have it up cold turkey with not even one hike on 5 years. I now go on nature walks. it has servede well.. After my walk I sat at a picnic table where I relaxed,read from Mark Atteberry's book, "The Caleb Quest ' and did some people watching. There were dog walkers, fathers walking with sons, and moms with children on swings and slides. One thing I didn't see was a single form of wildlife. No birds, squirrels, butterflies. I don't recall even seeing a single ant. After my nice visit to the park . I went to New Century Buffet where the restroom wasichore aligned with my standards. I'll be back!

They'll make up rumors to ruin your life. The amount of trauma this school has caused to my friend is horrible. She went here in 4th grade, left at 6th. She's in high school and it traumatized her to this day. Don't go to this school unless you have a death wish, it's not good for your physical or mental health.
