She then proceeded to call me multiple times even though I continued to ask for an email from her. I'm at work all day and can't receive calls. A customer's requests should be respected. I've had to block her calls. I won't be using this service. Pricing should be listed on the site. It shouldn't be this hard. I can only assume it's expensive an out of my budget.

Through my conversation with Lalo, a lot of my anxiety immediately melted away. Once we were placed, we signed up for weekly classes based on our skill level and have had nothing but a positive experience. Our teacher is Andrea - she is charismatic, professional, and skillfully integrates on-the-fly lessons to our broader goals (i.e., when we are confused by a concept Andrea organically integrates it into our lesson and explains it in such a clear way). Everything we do is in Spanish - 45 minutes of conversation, then 45 minutes of lessons/activities/homework review. The Culture and Language Center has really helped cure so much of my speaking anxiety and given me a lot of confidence - now I feel safe to speak, play, and even make mistakes. :) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this program to anyone. If you are on the fence, you won't regret this experience!

My teacher Izak is exceptional and Lalo, the owner , is incredibly professional, responsive and he cares greatly about his business/students. There are always extracurricular events such as trips of nights out and it great to build a community and friendships. The model is to have only 4 students per teacher and this makes a huge difference, furthermore, there is a curriculum on which the class is based on. So we spend a portion of the class chatting, a portion learning and the third part is to practice what we just learned. I always feel like my spanish improves after every class and I cannot say the same for the other conversational based learning.

We were stumped about finding another school for her, and traditional public style wasn't sitting right with us for many reasons. Then I started seeing posts on Facebook about Kidwings, and their summer camps looked so fun, easy to sign up for, so we gave a few weeks a try. Turns out my 4yr old loved them, and we enrolled her in the 25/26 school year without hesitation. She picks wild flowers everywhere she goes, and tells me about the different plants she's learned at school. Yes, we live in beautiful San Diego- there's many outside activities available, and good weather almost all the time, however I still don't think most children these days are getting adequate time in nature, especially with all of the smart phone/tech that's at their fingertips. Outdoor time for my kids is essential to me. Finding this resource for my daughter- to learn while playing outside is the biggest blessing. The school's organization is always dependable, the teachers are caring, there are seasonal celebrations that we enjoy as a family, and we get to be around other like minded individuals. I can't imagine a better start for a child than one spent learning and playing in nature. KidWings has been such an amazing experience for her. She has always been on the more cautious side, and having the opportunity to spend hours outside, go on nature walks, and play at different parks and playgrounds has helped her gain so much confidence in her body and what she's capable of. I couldn't have asked for better teachers than those at KidWings. They are the sweetest, most loving people. My daughter was home with me for her first three years, so dropping her off to start KidWings was especially hard for me. But I quickly realized that these kids are in such great hands, and I always felt completely comfortable leaving her there. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about each of her teachers--Ms. Claudia, Ms. Daniela, Ms. Mar, Ms. Emmy, Ms. Adriana (as well as the subs and camp instructors), and especially Ms. Ursula, who has been Annika's primary lead teacher since she started two years ago. Our family has also loved the special events KidWings hosts, like the lantern walk, potlucks, and drum circle. Sandra, the founder, has done such an amazing job creating this special community for kids and their families, and we're so grateful to have been a part of it. When we went to go check out the…read moreschool I was a little weirded out by the well behaved quiet little kids, but right when I got there my son ran over to the class to join in without prompting. Everything they do is in 30 minute increments in order to encourage better focus. They also have a pretty cool playground that the kids play on twice a day. The have two 2.5 hour blocks of class time, which is when they do the whole weird well behaved time as they go to different stations and work on the activities of their choosing. During that time the teachers walk around ready to help guide/help any of the kids and also pull groups of about four kids to the side to work on things like numbers and letters. They also provide a monthly calendar with a theme of the month and daily things that they talk about during their group time (e.g. one month they talked about space and each day they would talk about certain planet, or about stars vs planets, etc.). It's nice because it helps you feel involved as you can talk about the topic of the day with them before or after school. One thing that I am not crazy about is you gotta drop them off at the door. When he first started I was little bummed that I couldn't see him settle in before I left, but I get it- they do it that way as to not have drop offs be too distracting for the other kids as they try to stay pretty on schedule.
