We recently visited Funbox at Plaza Bonita for a friend's birthday party, and we had such a fun time. Our 2-year-old and 7-year-old both had a blast, and I enjoyed myself too. The party space was very spacious and I could see myself having a party there in the future. Special shout out to Tiana. Her energy is amazing. She's hard-working, super accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we didn't need anything. She really made the experience smooth and enjoyable. Thank you for a memorable experience we will definitely be coming back!

1st time here after promising my kid alllll summer we would come, SUPER impressed!! Its jump area is HUGE! The obstacle course is great. We extra enjoyed the benefit of the free arcade games. I asked my child what her favorite activity was and she said, "EVERYTHING!" I'm also impressed how clean it was. Izzy & Andres were really kind and helpful. We will definitely be having a birthday party here & be regulars.

Came here for my nephews bday. It was cool being able to go in with the kids to jump around and explore. Definitely appreciated the noise level in here it was not crazy chaotic and they had the music just at the right level. Glad something like this exist in our neighborhood. I was concerned for the babies and toddlors some parents and teens were rough housing and I can see a kid getting kicked in the face on accident, lol. They should have area specific to age group to make it safer, but overall had fun! They also have free arcade games which was cool. Check it out at least once!

Fun Box in National City had me feeling a little mixed. First off, the space is definitely smaller than I expected. The toddler area in particular was really underwhelming. It kind of felt like they just threw some blocks in there and called it a day. For little ones, I wish there was more variety to actually keep them engaged. The jumper area is a decent size, but again I had this vision it was going to be huge and it just wasn't giving that. Kids were going wild, as expected, so I stayed out while my spouse handled that chaos One thing I noticed though, a lot of parents were sitting inside certain parts of the jumper, which kind of blocked off areas and you could tell kids were avoiding those spots. They do have free arcade style game machines which is a nice touch, but that area gets crowded fast. Now the restrooms... yikes. For a newer place, I was honestly surprised at how dirty they were. Almost every stall needed attention. No toilet paper, no liners, just not maintained well at all. That part was a big disappointment. On a positive note, the party rooms actually look really nice and I can see this being a good birthday spot. But seating overall is limited, and the shoe storage fills up quick, so that's something to keep in mind. Overall, my kids did have fun, so that's what matters most. But they did say it felt a little scary with how many kids were running around nonstop. Not a terrible experience, just not as impressive as I was expecting. Curious to see how it holds up over time.

Had my daughter's birthday here as part of the grand opening birthday promo. I almost regretted it from the moment I booked. I had a few questions regarding my booking and immediately emailed the party email listed. No response. I waited a day or two and attempted calling multiple times across the span of 3-4 days. No answer, no response on both calls and emails. I finally drove over to ask my questions and spoke directly to the manager who was assisting at the front desk. When I mentioned that nobody was answering both my calls and emails, there was no apology--just simply a, "oh yeah, we've been having a hard time responding to voicemails and emails..." oh? Ok. Day of party, the staff really only checked in for the initial check in and at the end when it was time to sing. No help setting up, no check ins, no structured activity, the fridge had old crusted liquid inside. I'm glad the party was part of the promotion because if I had paid regular price, I would have been really upset.

Had a great time this evening. My daughter didn't want to leave and neither did I!! There's lots of fun little obstacles in the jump house as well as slides. And I mean the whole thing is inflated so you're just jumping around to the next activity. They have little arcade games as well that are free which was nice cause as my daughter is inside jumping my husband and I could partake in the games. Nice to have something to do while waiting instead of just sitting around. Noise level not terrible we came on a Sunday for the 7:30 jump session and it wasn't super busy or packed in the play areas. Pricing is fair we paid $43. For just my daughter and I including the required socks, For 1 hour and 30 minutes. Which is more than enough time I was worn out after 15 minutes in there and I don't have to be the bad guy when I tell my daughter it's time to go because times up. Toddler zone was good size for littles but no slides or anything's just blocks they could possibly add a little more things for younger ones to do. Lots of public seating and the birthday rooms looked nice and good sized as well. I'd definitely consider throwing a birthday party here. " if you choose to do a birthday party here ask for Daniella as your host " I seen staff going around cleaning the restrooms and the play areas throughout our session. I love that the restrooms had a little area for breastfeeding mamas like my self it had AC so it was nice and cool. Shout out to Daniella she's super friendly! She was helpful and watchful of the littles making sure everyone was safe in the jumpy area and having a fun time!

We came here for a birthday party and WOW! Just WOW! My son is autistic and he absolutely enjoyed himself. I love all of the colors, the aesthetic's and the amount of activities you can do. What an amazing place for kids to unwind. I appreciate the staff who were very helpful and kind. They pay attention to the kid's to ensure safety. They have staff monitoring the entrance and exit making sure no one runs out. Everyone that works here is so friendly. Highly recommend taking your kiddos here. Awesome place, 10/10!

The place is clean and kids really enjoyed the bounce house! Our party host Beyah was super awesome and made our whole party experience great! She made sure to check in for every needs and the whole team was very helpful! It was overall excellent! We will be back! Thank you to Beyah, Mike and rest of the team!

Very fun for my daughter. Bounce bounce and more bounce lol. We went because of the grand opening promotion and my daughter wants to go after seeing a video. Very convenient location as it is at the mall too.

BEWARE Price Gouging!! I had a very frustrating experience trying to book my son's birthday party at Fun Box in National City and want to warn others. Two days ago, I attempted to book a Premium Birthday Party "Grand Opening Special" advertised at $259 (regularly $579), with a promotion valid until 4/20/26. I even took a screenshot because the price influenced my decision. However, the website kept crashing during checkout, preventing me from completing the booking. When I checked again shortly after and the next day, the same package had jumped to $579 (now shown as a "sale" from $679). That's a $300+ increase within hours, despite the promotion still being advertised. This raises concerns about inconsistent and misleading pricing, as well as an advertised promotion that doesn't match actual pricing. I contacted management via email and voicemail but received no response. Overall, this feels like false advertising, poor customer service, and an unreliable booking system. I recommend taking screenshots and proceeding with caution, as prices may not be honored. Unfortunately, my son is now disappointed because the event is no longer affordable. I don't recommend!!!

First day at Fun Box! My kids ages are from 2 to 15, and they ALL had a blast. So fun, easy check in process and the kids tired them selves out! Definitely returning

It was a summer Thursday and the place was packed with kids and their parents, all having a blast. There was a zip line, bumper cars, an arcade, a giant pirate-themed play place - heaven on earth to rambunctious little people! The whole place was cutesy - beach themed photo ops everywhere. They also had plenty of "fair food" for those looking for a junky snack. My only complaint was that there wasn't enough shaded areas to sit in and enjoy a meal. Additionally, they didn't really have any vegetarian food options. We were starving (our main reason for checking out this place) and found cheese pizza slices as the only vegetarian friendly option. Seemed quite odd considering how popular vegetarianism has become, especially in places like California.. If you have kids or are just looking to let your own inner-child run wild, this place is worth checking out!

Tickets are needed to ride each ride and can be purchased at a stand on either end of the park (under the roller coaster and next to put-put golf). After parking, completing registration, and waiting in line (10+ mins), I was finally informed--after a long delay--that my son wouldn't be able to ride for at least "a couple of hours." At no point was there signage or staff to communicate the wait time, leaving us standing in line with no information. This lack of transparency and service made for a frustrating and unacceptable experience. I lost a good 30 minutes of my day, and on top of that, I had to tell my 7 year old that we could not ride a go kart today and left extremely disappointed your location. Which by the way, is not easy to get to and it is definitely not in the friendliest part of town. A long drive, a long wait, indifferent customer service and no go kart riding made for a forgettable experience. The laser tag was extremely fun for the kids! Man, I had forgotten how much fun laser tag is until I saw my kid and her friends playing. Then the party room was simple, but served its purpose really well. Our party hostess, Karrina, was really great with the kids and made sure the party kept moving along. I think what I liked the best about the experience for the party, was that our hostess walked the kids around to the rides and through the arcade so they could familiarize themselves with the layout of the Boardwalk. As I was talking with the adults, we were discussing competitors like Bowlero and Lucky Strike and how unreasonably priced it is for a family of four now a days. Just the arcades there are so expensive! Here, the kids were able to make their tokens last for hours and walked away with some fun prizes too. I hope the prices never get ridiculously high here. I grew up going to Parkway Bowl and the Boardwalk. I am so happy that the accessible pricing has remained. Additional shout outs to MC and Noelle (staff members who were very helpful and attentive). Absolutely loved the character experiences, the babies were so excited! They can take photos on your phone or you can pay for the ones they take as well. There are some rides that cater to younger ones as well as taller kids. I would definitely say this park overall is towards younger kids, I don't know if older kids would find it as fun. The rides aren't that big. Majority of the rides require toddlers to be capable of walking. I will say that the policy on this is a bit weird, Disneyland for example doesn't require this for a lot of similarish rides. There is a wave pool, water slides, lazy river, and splash pad. We loved the castle splash pad area and the smaller slides. Although, they want your little one to be independent going down the slide and that's tough if you're the only parent there (hard to walk them up and run down to catch them etc). My only complaint about the lazy river was it was a little dirty. That is bound to happen with young kids. Chairs seem to get taken quite quickly, however, they did have a nursing room here which was very nice in my case! They also have spacious changing rooms in the park as well. I found the bathrooms a bit dirty, in the way they should've been cleaned throughout the day. I also didn't notice any toilet seat covers which was interesting. So overall, yes we'd come back! But my complaint would be the bathrooms and maybe someone with kids should review the safety policies lol!
