They executed very well. Customer service was EXCELLENT. The alley was packed with other parties and not once did any of the employees have anything less than a smile. It was VERY welcoming. At the front desk when I checked in for the party Bri helped me gather the girls shoe sizes, and ordering the food. She made things WAY less stressful as we had a large party she helped arrange lanes, making sure we had everything we needed. She was very professional and helpful. Came here during spring break. We arrived right at 11 when they opened and we were the first ones there. Plenty of parking in the lot. This is located at the Viejas outlet center. The Boeing alley was clean with friendly people working the counter. We needed help with the pins during the game and they were happy to help. Ordered food from the snack bar. From planning to execution, Viejas bowl hosted a great Girls Night Bowling. Everything was communicated fast and tentatively via email (planning, to changing RSVP, adding catering, etc) We paid after the event was completed. There was 12 Adults and Viejas bowl had adult goodie bags. If you had kids, they would make kid goodie bags. 12 girls and 2 hours of bowl went by super fast. I should have added 1hr. $28 a person came with 2hr bowl, goodie bags, 2 slices of pizza, soda/beer vouchers, salad, and shoes. I added chicken wraps and chicken tenders. We figured the bowling alley would be dead on a Wednesday so after shopping we stopped by for a few games. It was a bit of a wait so they took our phone number and said they would call when the next spot opened up (which would of been nice to know so we could of signed up before our shopping) it wasn't a big deal since they have a bar with open seating. They have screens with music videos playing which was a really fun vibe. My biggest complaint is you don't get your own section/seating. We got put with a group of little kids and I wanted nothing more then to bounce out of there but since we waited and already paid we were troopers. We made the most of it and it was a lot of fun (after the kids left) next time I would recommend stopping by and scoping the crowd before signing up. read more

My brother and I wanted to go bowling and thought it would be fun for us and my family to watch. Hubby, my daughter and my mom watched us bowl. As we entered, there's a desk where you can rent shoes. I think it cost $29 or $30 for an hour. The lady asks us by the games or by the hour. We chose an hour to play. I think we completed two games because we ate snacks in between. There's a snack shack nearby where you can order food such as nachos, tater tots, fries and burgers. They also sell drinks such as bottled drinks. I got to munch on nachos in between games. My brother and I had fun. Definitely worth coming here if you want to bowl. Located on the corner of the Viejas outlets. You can't miss it. Highly recommend. A place for the family to go bowling. In 2020 my company rented out the entire Viejas Bowl for our Christmas party. In 2022 they did the same. I wrote a review then and nothing has changed except the date. It was still super fun and a great spot for a party of virtually any kind. I'd write a new review, but that would be redundant. Here's my review from 2020. It still holds true. For our company Christmas Party we booked the entire Viejas Bowl. It was great! Perfect for a medium sized company. All 12 bowling lanes, pool tables and games. The lanes are in pretty good shape and the house equipment is pretty good too. Becky and I brought our own bowling shoes so we didn't have to use house shoes. The pool tables are well taken care of and the cues are straight and in good shape. The food was decent. Nothing great, but exactly what you'd expect at a bowling alley. Pizza, wings, and tenders. We also had fruit trays, salads, sandwich wraps and cookies. It was a hefty spread of food that's for sure. The two ladies working behind the bar were excellent. Really friendly and quick with beer refills. Decent selection of beers on tap. My only real complaint was the location of the bathrooms. You have to exit the building and walk across to the mall facilities. Not very convenient and certainly not conducive to bowling shoes which should only be worn on the lanes. All told, a good time was had by all. We're hoping to do it again this Christmas. read more

The layout of this place is inviting and really open. It's seems so simple, but it works! We popped in really quick for a bite to eat and we had beers and wings! The Julian Apple Pie Cider did not disappoint and tasted well.. exactly like Apple Pie! Delicious! The wings were great and they gave us dipping trays of our sauce of choice which I thought was fantastic cause some places don't really dredge the wings well. Plus, the prices were really great.Lastly, our server was one girl who really tended to us and seemed to be holding the whole place eating area down so kudos to her. This place is in serious need of some repairs/updates. The ball returns consistently have 2-3 balls stuck so you don't get yours back until a couple more going. The lanes are dry as a bone, if you throw a hook you're not sliding anywhere. This is probably not a bad place to go for a kids birthday but if you are looking to get any real practice in you will be seriously disappointed. read more

On our anniversary this year my husband and I spent the day at Viejas Casino Resort. One of the things we decided to do was to bowl. This was my second visit to this bowling alley so I had a good idea of what to expect. It was clean, the bowling shoes were in excellent condition, the staff was friendly and helpful, and in addition to bowling you can enjoy a meal/drinks and play pool. On this day they were also having several parties (for small children) which were a little annoying at times but what can I say we were all kids once. Overall it was a blast, I was on a mission to beat my husband like I did before two straight games but this time around he managed to win a game as well. Located conveniently near the parking lot in the outlets this place is a great place to hang out. The Sunday morning special was a great deal! Shoe rental, 2 games, and a soda for $5 per person before noon! Not too bad at all! With the 2 of us, the games were super fast so we went up to add another game and it was $8. Kinda silly since the signs say $2.50 a game Sunday mornings but I didn't question it assuming you cant combine 2 different specials. The lanes, definitely not for sport but more for fun. You grab your ball, step off the carpet and are immediately at your mark to throw down. Almost threw myself down the lanes twice cause I am so used to being able to take longer strides. Time for free drinks! I went up to the food counter and asked the girl for some sodas. She was so spunky and sweet! I said "how do you like working here? This must be a fun job!" She replied, in the most genuine tone ever, "I have had quite a few jobs and so far I have been here for 2 years and I LOVE my job!" She went on to say that its like being part of a family and that her boss is amazing and everyone enjoys being there! I love to hear that! If you don't love what you do, don't do it. I know that its people like her that keep regulars coming back! I wish this were right around the corner cause the atmosphere, specials, and staff would make us regulars for sure! read more

Came here for the first time after seeing some atrocious rental prices at the usual bowling alleys around. I was a little disappointed it was first come, instead of a reservation system, but we got lucky on a Friday and there was a lane available. While 30.00 an hour is still kind of crazy to me, it was about 20 to 30.00 cheaper than other places. The place itself isn't too big but it had fun lighting and decent music. The food itself I cannot opinion on, but my bowling partner for the night said it wasn't good. They had the cheeseburger and fries. As far as the lanes they seemed good, but the bowling balls are pretty terrible and in desperate need of repair or replacement. The bathroom is located outside which is odd. The 'bar' only has beer. I think it would be great if they offered more options in that area. As far as coming back, it is a possibility. It was hard finding it at first, but for the cost and it having availability on a busy night might convince me to go again in the future read more

Our group of 60+ people had an amazing experience at Viejas Bowl on February 8th. The place was nice and clean and beautifully decorated with pink and red balloons for our couple's night out. Adriana and the entire staff were super friendly and extremely helpful. They were constantly making sure we had everything we needed and happily assisted us from the start of our event to the end. Very nice smaller bowling alley in EAST county S.D. Pros: Inexpensive. $10.50 for a couple of games and shoe rental on a Sunday evening. Not crowded: We had a group of 50+ and they let us reserve 8 lanes in advance. There were still lanes available and it didn't feel uncomfortably crowded. Furnishings: Chairs, long tables, and leather couches abound. Pretty comfortable seating. Staff: The two young gentlemen working that night were very friendly and accommodating to our group which included 25+ Deaf individuals who use ASL to communicate. Food: Inexpensive and pretty good pizza, wings, fries, beer, and margaritas. Cons: Location is a bit hard to find as it's in the outlet mall. Outside signage is horribly small and visual directions from Willows Rd. are non-existent. Lanes: Ours kept braking down and going dark. The staff had to constantly go back behind the pins box to monkey with the setter machine. Other lanes in our group had similar issues. Restrooms: Are outside the place in the mall facilities. Not very convenient. All in all, 4 stars. I would return, perhaps during the week for their happy hour. read more

My son is really into bowling right now. So we decided to have his 10th birthday here. We had never been here before. But did do a walk through a few weeks before. It is clean....had alot to do. Small..but that was actually something I liked about it. I set up his bday party reservations w/ the b-day coordinator. She was very nice & helpful (sorry I can't remember her name). I told her we would have about 20 people total but only like 12-15 would he bowling. She said no problem we would get 3 lanes and plenty of pizza and soda. Also everyone bowling got little gift bags...which was nice. Pizza was good. Soda was ok (couple of the sodas we wanted were flat). Also it was happy hour...and they had good happy hour specials. We ended up have about 17 people (12 people bowling). When we got there everything was very nice & decorated. We were ready to bowl. And an employee came over & said we were only going to be able to get 2 lanes...becuz we had 12 people bowling. (It was a Tuesday at 4pm...they weren't busy...so it wasn't like they needed the lanes). At the moment I said ok...they weren't giving me an option. So that's 6 people per lane. We started bowling about 4:20pm. We finished 1 game. Then my son wanted to do presents & cake. So we did. After that was done we started a second game. (When I planned this party 2 games was what I thought we would be able to compete in the 2 hours of bowling they give us). But I didnt realize and wasn't told that the time started at 420 when we started the 1st game and the lanes would turn off at exactly 2 hours after we started. Well we started our 2nd game at like 610. So when the lanes shut off at 620...we had just started. When I spoke with the employee and told him we just wanted to finish our 2nd game he said we would have to add additionally time. When all was said and done we had to add an additional hour of bowling for each lane. And we were already paying alot for the party. Then we had to add for the additional time...too much if u ask me. If we would have had the 3 lanes we were promised we proably could have bowled in the aloted time they gave us. It was just to many people on the 2 lanes. And if ur having a party...especially for a kid...they should know kids want to presents & cake. So they should be a way to pause the bowling time...for those type of things...so u dont run out of time. Overall I was just not happy. I was told the total and it was way more once I added extra pizza and bowling time. Beware if u are planning a bday party here. I'm sure regular bowling is fine. But we haven't tried it...and probably never will. read more

Celebrated my son's 8th birthday there this weekend and I could not be happier with the the way everything went. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. All we had to do was bring in dessert and everything else was provided by Viejas Bowl. My friends and I had a blast here tonight! We haven't been here in years, but we decided on bowling tonight. The wait for the lanes was a little long, but we didn't mind, we played pool and ordered our food in the mean time. Food wise, it was actually pretty good. We got nachos, chicken tenders, loaded tots and pizza. We also got a pitcher of the stone delicious IPA for $15 (amazing). Sean and Nikki were helping us at the front desk and they were so friendly and helpful. They even brought out balloons for my friends birthday. Cost isn't bad at since there is no sales tax service was great and they were really nice even though we had a lot of people food is good not bad they have beer which is a plus in my book. It makes me sad to write this review, but I feel the need to vent after our last experience. I've spent many birthday parties, family outings, and date nights here and I just LOVE Viejas. I love the vibe of the entire resort and the bowling staff has always been great to us. Yes, the wait for a lane can be long (its a small place). Yes, the price is relative to 2018 pricing and you're not getting 50 cent shoes anymore (those days are gone, if that is your only complaint here, get a grip). But my run in with management left a very bad taste in my mouth. I came on a Friday night at 5:00 pm with 2 kiddos (3 & 6) and their grandmother. We immediately put our name on the list for bowling and then went to order food. We got our drinks and paid for the order. Our food had not arrived yet when they called us to let us know our lane was open (approx. 30 minutes). We let the staff at the counter know our lane number assignment and they said it wasn't ready but they would bring it to us at the lane(check in #1). After about another hour, I went up to the counter and asked for chips to hold over these starving kids and check on the order (check in #2). I was told "I will bring it to you when it is ready. Don't worry I wont charge you for the chips". No explanation for the now 1.5 hour wait and no apology made. But lucky us, they didn't charge for the handful of tortilla chips. After we completed our game of bowling (how fast do you think our game was with a 3 year old and a 67 year old....) it was time to go. The kids were cranky and hungry, our dinner was no where in site. I went to the counter and asked for the order to be boxed to go when it is ready (check in #3). After 2 hours and 8 minutes and checking in on the order 3 times, I was then told they NEVER placed our order. She didn't even have an excuse, she just said "it looks like the order was never placed". The staff member had to then go get a manager to issue us a refund. This is where they lost all good faith. The manager did not offer an apology, they did not offer to make it right, they did not offer to get us anything to eat, they didn't even ask us to come back to try this again. I would at least expect them to refund our order completely but they made sure to ask how many drinks we got so they could eliminate that from the refund and only give us back the money for the food that never was. Customer Service 101 - make sure you try your best to rectify the situation so the customer leaves happy and will return. I am aware that most staff members cannot issue a refund, but a manager, they are the ones who should be making it right for the guests. This place will lose if this is how they treat people and I am sad to see it waste away. Which it surely will if this is the norm. I will be back, like I said I love it here. But I am tempted to bring in my own food next time and see if they try to tell me it's not allowed. They will not be happy with my response if they try. read more

We hosted a birthday party here for my 8 year old daughter and everyone had a great time! The prices were very reasonable and the birthday package worked out perfectly. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The birthday package included bowling and tokens for the arcade across the walkway. And after the party, parents could either shop or visit the casino. The pizza from Adriano's was delicious and kids loved it! We were able to bring in our own cake too. Only 2 complaints: they had only one waitress to get all the drinks for the whole bowling alley, so there was a bit of delay. Also the restrooms is outside across the walkway.
