I really like this little space! I've been to a bunch of these kind of places and I definitely think this one is better for younger kids like six or seven and under my friend and I brought her poor little daughter's on a day when their preschool was closed. We were able to work in the coffee area. They have a full breakfast sandwiches and a breakfast menu as well as pizza lunch for kids, snacks, juice, etc. It seemed really clean and wasn't too crowded on a Friday morning. I like that you can see through a lot of the play area so I could spot my daughter easily. We had a great time here and would definitely come back.

This is a great place to take your little ones. The play area is super cute and has good, safe areas even for the younger ones. It's my third time coming here and it's worth it. The staff is friendly and holds dance sessions once in a while. There is a cute cafe area, but have not tried it yet. Will have to try it next time.

Iced campfire mocha latte - 6.5/10 Iced cherry white mocha matcha - 7.5/10 GO ON WEDNESDAYS FOR HALF OFF KIDS 2 HOUR PLAYTIME!!! Truly a wonderful shop with lots of fun, unique flavors for coffees & teas! They also have lots of different snacks and pastries available for purchase. They were accommodating for my gestational diabetes; NO OUTSIDE FOOD is allowed but because of my diagnosis, they let me bring in my own protein bar to manage my blood sugar. The front desk person, Andrew, was very accommodating, friendly and informative. Play area is for kids of all ages - both our 3 year old and 14 month old had a blast and there were multiple different areas for them to have fun.

5 stars for the space, design and activities for the kids. It's awesome. But for the price and what they charge they should have more workers keeping up with the facility. The bathrooms were disgusting, the pretend play areas didn't really have any of the toys in them. The ball puts had the hard lego type building blocks in them. I literally found myself cleaning up like at home organizing the place. And there was zero enforcement of the baby area. Big kids playing in there. I think doing a sweep every half or hour on each play area would make it more fun for the kids, parents and worth the money.

Came in on a Saturday, the previous day I went online and tried making reservations and the website was down. So I figured we could just walk in. Upon arrival we were told we needed reservations when we tried making them again the site was down. It was very difficult for no reason. Staff was nice and trying to be helpful. There is no coffee allowed in the kids area which defeats the whole purpose of kids and coffee? If you get a coffee you need to drink it in the cafe area but it's so cramped and small. My daughter had a good time and the staff were trying their best. Overall prob won't go again and don't recommend.

This place is a very unique concept ! Whoever came up with the idea is A GENIUS !! A place where you can have sip and talks while your kids explore this beautiful jungle gym place is amazing !! As a mom it's hard to get in those needed girl social hour and this place definitely provides that ! The servers are quick and friendly! You have from your typical coffee to special drinks and bites ! Even something for the day drinkers lol This place is a 10/10 in my books If your a mom in need of some girl talks go here and let the kids frolic while you have your talks !

AMAZING!!! Went for a playdate and birthday party for my 6-year-old. My 9-year-old was tagging along and was fully prepared to hunker down with a book while the little kids played. But both girls had a blast running around their play structures. The owners really thought of everything from making sure everything is padded, to having a great space for parties and classes, to having a quiet room when the kids are sensory overloaded and need a mini time out. Since the facility is shoeless, they even have slippers to borrow when going into the restrooms! And extra diapers in case someone runs out. So thoughtful!!! Oh and there is a grabber machine. My girls LOVE those. We all enjoyed lunch thoroughly. I highly recommend their eggs and bacon sandwich with avocado - hot, fresh, and delicious. Their pizza is made locally and the crust is nice and crusty as it should be. I love the options for mimosas or beer, but I found their coffee to be absolutely delightful! They also had an earl grey lavender matcha that had a lovely delicate flavor without being overwhelming or too sweet. Probably best caffeinated drinks in the area! The kids had their all time favorite meal - Dino nuggets and mac n cheese. We also had some locally made gelato afterwards! They have everything!!!

Bravo to the owners of this establishment! We trekked from OC to Carlsbad to let the kiddos burn energy and this did not disappoint. We made reservations online and filled out the waiver prior to entering which made the process smooth and quick. *Reminder to all parents, bring grip socks for kids and have regular socks for yourself! The establishment is large and clean. There's a play area for 24 months and under, as well as structures for kids ranging from 3-10 years old. They have mini kitchens and grocery store and had music time going on when we arrived. My kids loved the songs and musical instruments that they were allowed to play with. The ball pits and slides were a big hit! This place has was well though out. They have complimentary diapers ranging from sizes 1-5, bathroom shoes, step stools for hand washing, a coffee shop inside, a nursing room, a quiet room aka "the comfort room" and little books and crannies for everyone to go through. My kids were loving every bit of it and it didn't feel cramped. We didn't get to try their food or coffee since we had other plans after but will be back to try it next time. * Note: no outside food is allowed here. If you buy coffee, you will need to enjoy it in the cafe area.

Took my almost 2 yo & our friend's son who is almost 3 yo & they both had such an amazing time! This is such an aesthetic indoor playground. Think clean & modern version of those old McDonalds play structures. It is really nicely done! PROS: - free diapers & wipes (though when we went, they were out of the size we needed) - coffee & alcohol available for purchase - play area for younger babies & the rest are areas for older kids - adults can easily climb most of the play structure & play in the ball pit with their kids - great parking - has tables for parents to work & relax Areas to Improve: -there's a random "drop"/open ledge on a very high play structure beside the trampoline & blocks area. Definitely feel like that should be secured in some way. Seems like an accident waiting to happen. - no staff are patrolling/watching any of the kids so multiple kids were jumping on the trampoline even though it said 2 kids max, but it was not enforced at all - at least 1 thing in the pretend market was broken, such that a wooden bar which seemed like it was supposed to stay up, was hanging down

Saw the great reviews and wanted to come check out this play place! Came on a weekday morning, and it's pretty busy! Love the decor and aesthetics, the modern calming color choices are so nice, and everything is clean! It's a pretty big space so there's a good variety of climbing and jumping activities for the kids! There are 2 play houses with foods and grocery, a small trampoline, big ball pit with slides, a rope bridge, rock climbing walls, climbing towers, monkey bar rings and blocks! 2 hours went by quickly and my kids loved playing. Would highly recommend and we will be back next time we are in the area!

Overall, we had a great time here! Above and beyond: The bathrooms are stocked with complimentary diapers, of all sizes! They even have convenient crocs to use when needing to enter the bathroom area. Loved: The little toddler area (24 months old and under) was very cute! There was a ball pit my daughter could play in and it felt secluded enough away from the older kids, so safety was not an issue at all. Areas of Growth: The service at the cafe was a bit slow, due to understaffing probably. But the lattes were very good! My husband and I both got the Cookie Butter Lattes, yummy! The indoor playground was safe, clean and the staff were lovely and attentive.

For 1 kid + 3 adults came out to be $50 for 2 hours. The location is located next to a church & super easy go find. Parking is plenty. They have a good size lobby & shoe/bag area, and you can locate the cafe inside. Location is perfect for 2-3 year olds and plenty of room for everyone without it feeling too crowded. The high ceilings are nice. Bathrooms are big and clean with the changing pad in the last stall of the womans not sure about dads side. They provided huggies diapers in a few sizes. I like how the adults can wear regular socks, i know some establishments require parents to have grippy socks too. I wish they did check temperatures and grippy socks for extra safety.. there were a few kids coughing and having sniffles. I think they should highly consider checking temperature just to be safe for everyone especially during winter season. Overall enjoyed our trip & will come again if we are in the area.

    Delicious and HOT latte!

The only question that comes to mind after visiting here is that why is this place not opening a location in OC??!! This place is Amazing! It is clean and bright and just perfect for the little ones. When I read that they have their own cafe, I was like oh God, they probably serve junk food. But I was soooo wrong! They sell organic juices and milk. Their lattes are delicious! The secret of their success is that the owners are a couple who actually manage their cafe. They were very friendly and nice. I can't stress enough how great this establishment is. I think it is worth every penny!

Disappointing experience - not the same as before…read more I visited Candeeland Carlsbad yesterday with my 5-year-old son, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I want to start by saying the front desk attendant was very friendly and welcoming. However, the rest of the staff completely changed the tone of our visit. They were consistently rude and made us feel not welcomed there. I've been there before and had a very different experience, so this was surprising. This time, I was not allowed to sit at the tables with my coffee and reusable water bottle, even though they sell drinks and snacks on-site and I've done this on previous visits. I had no intention of taking anything into the play structures, just sitting at the tables. I also planned to do some light work on my computer while my son played, something I've done there before, but I was told that wasn't allowed either. I was told I had to stay with my son at all times. The way this was communicated was the most frustrating part. The staff came across as dismissive and unwelcoming, not just to me but to other families as well. I ended up speaking with the assistant manager because the situation felt so uncomfortable. As I was leaving, another family actually thanked me for saying something because they were feeling the same way, which says a lot. I had been planning to host my son's birthday party there in June, but after this experience, I will definitely be making other plans. I really hope management takes this feedback seriously, because this place has potential, but the customer experience needs a lot of improvement.

Eight. I live in a suburban Bermuda Triangle where every road leads to a different flavor of parental surrender. And yet... I keep coming back because the Play Pass membership is the closest thing to salvation a modern dad can buy without consulting a Rabbi. Two hundred fifty games a day. Half off food. Half off the trampoline park. And I can use it at any location in the country, each with its own personality. All have salad bars, some are safe to eat at. All offer redemption counters which are low key pawn shops for sugar gremlins. Some keep things clean. Some... El Cajon... do not. But Escondido? Escondido is one of the chosen ones. My kids are locked in on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game. Escondido has it. National City has it too, but then you have to spend time in National City, and I'm not trying to add side quests to my suffering. The machines here mostly work. The card readers don't gaslight you. The ticket counters don't jam. It's the little things that keep a man going. The Rat Situation..... Once an hour, the music hits. A jaunty little tune that tells most kids it's time to dance with the giant rat mascot. For my youngest, it's the opening note of a horror movie. She hears it and immediately climbs me like a tree. And look, most of the teenagers in the suit are pros. They see the terror. They give us space. They drift away like a respectful wildlife ranger avoiding a startled fawn. But every now and then, fate hands us one of two options: A kid in the suit who cannot read the room Or a kid who absolutely can read the room and chooses violence anyway Those are the moments when the rat stalks my child like a hyena, and I swear, I am not amused. The Beer! Chuck E Cheese serves beer. This is not a luxury. This is a coping mechanism. But the rat only allows one per hour. One. They demand a valid ID every time, even though I look like a man who hasn't slept since the Obama administration. And the system literally locks the tap until the hour resets, no matter how much money I offer the vermin behind the counter. I have never felt more controlled by a rodent in my life. The Salad Bar.... This location keeps the salad bar stocked and clean. Watermelon, honeydew, cucumbers, carrots, oranges. Six fifty with the membership. My kids eat actual produce here. This is a miracle. Other locations... again, El Cajon... treat the salad bar like a corporate mandated example that pizza and cotton candy a food group. Escondido Chuck E Cheese is where I come to trade my sanity for two hours of my kids not fighting. The Play Pass is a lifesaver. The games work. The salad bar is shockingly fresh. The beer flows on a timer set by a tyrant rat overlord. Four stars because my child should not have to fear a mascot like it's a nature documentary. But for a beaten down dad clutching his hourly beer like manna, this place gets the job done.
