Our first encounter happened over the phone and while talking and discussing musical and early childhood education, I kind of mentioned my dream to have my OWN special song designated just for our Step by Step CC & Preschool that I have been running for over 17 years now. Zhanna had immediately responded with such enthusiasm that I knew right away it would happen and my modest dream I'd kept to myself for many years would come true. To work and communicate with Zhanna isn't just easy and pleasant but so much more. Everyone may listen but not everyone can hear and understand. Zhanna can. She's truly a beautiful Person inside and out, intelligent, educated, with a wide range of knowledge, very wise, and don't forget she's a talented musician, singer, songwriter. And all these qualities she gladly shares with people around her. The first time I heard the Step by Step Signature Song I didn't even try to fight my tears back. The song is so beautiful and touching. It reflects my own soul and the spirit of my place created for the children and the families. Zhanna truly understood everything about us and what we do, and she did her best creating this song. The music, the lyrics, the vocals came perfectly together! I'm so grateful to Zhanna because now my dream not only came true but has the voice and sound of its own. Although the Step by Step song still awaits its official public presentation that's coming in a few weeks, many plans are already made. This is a legacy song that our kids will be singing at yearly graduations and other school events, the song will be added to our website and the work on the slideshow with the song accompaniment has begun. --

Plus the crowds are light so I was able to do lots of activities! No noisy kids too! The Imagination Express was a short and mediocre ride, it a very cheesy version of toy story midway mania. There was hardly any wait for the ride due the event. I did went on it a few times for the raffle ticket challenge. Sadly, the staff closed it a few minutes early from the event and I wanted to go one more time. Some staff are not happy to be around but I can relate for this. Some feel like they have to be here or needs to work on their social skills. But no negativity experience from this. There is also a theater area which is not too bad there. The 4D effects can be cheesy though. The good thing around this place is that there is a huge impressive lego models of the Bay Area in one room! San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Clara and Oakland! When my son would go up to workers and ask about Pop Badges (because he went to LLCA and LLFL earlier this year), workers would say no even if they were wearing them on their lanyards. (Read somewhere later that you're supposed to "trade" with staff but it would have been nice if someone working took the time to explain that.) Delano Manongs Park is broken into 10 parts- YES, I SAID 10!! This includes a small and large dog park, multiple gardens, a fitness station, and a number of play structures to keep all your little munchkins happily occupied. The park is very well kept, the restrooms are very doable, and with its large size, there isn't that congested feeling you get with other locations. On top of the many perks, there is a large field to kick or throw around a few balls. The only flaw- and might I add that it is a big one- is the lack of actual shade. Your relief from the sun's powerful rays is limited to the gazebo where the benches are or using the large flower structures as a shield. 5/5 stars all in all. Pros: - Length of time / it's an all-day camp from 8:30-3:30. - Variety of activities / they stay indoors most of the day either playing in the play structure area or in the party room doing arts and crafts. However, they also have a designated area in the spacious parking lot to do activities as well so the kids do get fresh air outside. - Staff / the camp counselors are AWESOME! Super patient, friendly, and sweet to the kids. Ms. Yadira, Zoe, and Jojo need a raise. They were SO good to the kids! - Drive-thru drop-off and pick-up line / except for the first day of camp, you can use the drive-thru line for the rest of the week. Very convenient, safe, and fast since there's one staff member with the sign-out sheet and another staff member helps with loading or unloading the kids. - Communication / prior to camp, we received a detailed email that included information on timing, activities, and themes for the week. We knew exactly what to expect each day. - Photo privacy / they take photos and videos to post to their social media accounts, but if you want to opt your kids out, they honor that easily. - Snacks / two snacks were provided each day, but you bring your own lunch from home Cons: Can't think of any!
