Our server was friendly but it was a little disappointing that one of the drinks we wanted couldn't be ordered because it wasn't available (not sure why because it was just an old fashioned and we could clearly see the whiskey displayed behind the bar) so we ordered a different drink and the exotic mushroom pasta entree I ordered had a choice of being served with gnocchi or pappardelle pasta (which I preferred but again, it wasn't available so I went with the gnocchi). One of my friends got the beef sliders with mashed potatoes ($3 upcharge!!!) (they wanted the beef stroganoff but the chef wasn't able to make it without mushrooms) and my other friend the Brazilian beef stroganoff. The food was delicious. The ambiance was typical of a tavern with the TVs broadcasting the Olympics and the tall ceilings caused it to be a little noisy but not unbearable. We were too full for dessert but the carrot cake had been recommended so we ordered a piece to go (the biggest slice of cake I've ever seen!) along with a slice of their lemoncello cake.
