So impressed with the menus and quality of the dishes. With some really playful options done really well, and washed down with some creative cocktails, this place is fantastic! And the outdoor seating is pup friendly, 5 stars all the way.

We made a reservation and ended up arriving earlier which was fine. The hostess was friendly and seated us almost immediately. They have a warm earth tone interior and contemporary modern decorations with soft and low lighting. It is small but roomy once seated. Our server took our order and didn't waste any time delivering our drinks. I do recommend trying their version of an Old Fashioned, which includes a hint of cinnamon. For appetizers we ordered the fried oysters, which was very good! We also ordered the roasted cauliflower which left little to lust after. It was lukewarm at best and not well seasoned w/ a heavy beet puree around the plate. My dinner was their mussels and my partner had their bolognese pasta. The mussels were not well seasoned and had more of a coconut water than cream, curry, taste to them and the side that accompanied were french fries. An odd pairing. All in all we'd try it out again based on the service itself.

Our taste of crab bisque soup and asparagus was so delicious. Decor and ambience was chic. Service was prompt and attentive. Drinks were on point! Can't wait to return.

Thanks Yelp for leading us to have a delicious Friday night dinner here while visiting Orange, VA! Everything and everyone from when I made the reservation to being greeted when we walked in was just wonderful. Our server and the helping staff were all friendly and and helpful. The decor is calm and relaxing. The seating was comfortable and it just felt like a nice place. Now onto the food and drinks! Husband ordered a beer and the server was nice to bring out a sample for him to try before ordering. Food we tried: Complimentary focaccia bread and butter-very tasty Dumplings appetizer-good Crab bisque- husband loved it and it came out in the cutest pig dish/cup Soup of the day sampler size was delicious! It was sausage corn chowder and served in a little shot glass. Shrimp & Grits-so tasty! I loved that the y fried the shrimp. Great flavor and a unique twist. Shrimp scampi risotto was also delicious. Great sauce! If ever back this way, will make this a place to stop and eat at!

I wanted to like this place but at every turn there was a disappointment. We had reservations for five people at 5:45pm. (Bad start- the reservation stated more than once we had a 5 minute grace period to be on time, and if we made changes to or cancelled the reservation, we would be charged $25/person!) We made it on time (we were coming from 2.5 hours away- in town for a wedding). They could not find our reservation. No biggy- only one other table was seated in the room. We sat down and some of the party ordered drinks and I asked about the happy hour menu ( we had made an earlier reservation to make use of HH). We were told that only applied to the bar area?!?! So no happy hour for us... We ate tapas style- menu is set up for this possibility. Food, for the prices and serving size, were lame and took a long time. Our last order was forgotten (as admitted by our server), we hardly wanted it anymore, but our server was nowhere to be seen to cancel. Most menu items were fried and all we received were over salted. In the end, this was expensive bar food, masquerading as restaurant cuisine at NYC prices- $4.33/ chicken wing, $4.67/ fish taco, $1.75/ slice of greasy baguette ordered to finish pimento cheese. Not the fault of the restaurant but something out if town patrons should know (although the owner knew we were from out of town)... there will be an over 14% tax on your entire bill- VA and Orange City taxes. Think about it- 15% tip (which is very low for me) means I paid almost 30% on top of my purchases. GF on menu is not gluten free.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Street parking was plentiful and free. There looks to be more parking out behind the restaurant as well. Entering the brick facade building, I was immediately surprised by the new contemporary dining room. It almost didn't fit in my mind. I did like all the modern art, including wireframe bicycles hanging on the walls in the back. We were welcomed at the stand and led to the main dining room to the right. To the left is a full bar and numerous high-top tables. We were seated right up front by the window. Their menu offered several apps, a handful of salads, and a dozen main dishes. My wife ordered the steak salad that came with a 5oz filet. I got the forked cheeseburger with bacon. You can't go wrong with bacon on anything. My wife liked her salad. The steak was medium rare, just like she prefers, and the ingredients were fresh. My burger was cooked more well than I would have liked. The accompanying fries were heavily salted. I was thirsty; it seemed like the rest of the day. The portions were huge though, and we should have just ordered one entree and split it. Service was slow but friendly. We were there for close to 60 minutes, and it wasn't particularly busy. My other complaint was lunch set us back over $50, and we just had water to drink. Part of that, to be fair is some special restaurant tax for Orange that seemed high to me.

Great place! Went for happy hour and dinner. Good variety of food and drinks on the happy hour menu with significant discounts. Delicious food as well.

The food is delicious and they accommodate gluten allergy peeps such as myself.

We parked in the lot across the street although there is 2 hour street parking. Our server was friendly but it was a little disappointing that one of the drinks we wanted couldn't be ordered because it wasn't available (not sure why because it was just an old fashioned and we could clearly see the whiskey displayed behind the bar) so we ordered a different drink and the exotic mushroom pasta entree I ordered had a choice of being served with gnocchi or pappardelle pasta (which I preferred but again, it wasn't available so I went with the gnocchi). One of my friends got the beef sliders with mashed potatoes ($3 upcharge!!!) (they wanted the beef stroganoff but the chef wasn't able to make it without mushrooms) and my other friend the Brazilian beef stroganoff. The food was delicious. The ambiance was typical of a tavern with the TVs broadcasting the Olympics and the tall ceilings caused it to be a little noisy but not unbearable. We were too full for dessert but the carrot cake had been recommended so we ordered a piece to go (the biggest slice of cake I've ever seen!) along with a slice of their lemoncello cake. Good experience, I would've given them 5 stars had they not been out of so many things and unable to accommodate my friend's wish for no mushrooms

It's a beautiful setting, well maintained, and feels more like a destination than just a winery. Inside, the tasting room is clean, modern, and comfortable. They've also got private rooms and event spaces, and you can tell this place is set up well for weddings and group events. The outdoor patio is a great spot too, especially with the views, and it's dog-friendly, which was nice to see. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and everything moved along smoothly. We ordered two wine flights, a cheese plate (added salmon), and two half-baguettes (basically one full). The food was good and nicely presented, no complaints there. That said, at about $180 total after tip, it felt a little pricey for what we got--especially the cheese plate, which was on the lighter side for the cost. The wine was enjoyable, just didn't quite stand out for us personally. With how nice everything else is, it feels like it has the potential to really shine. The outdoor experience was a little mixed. There were quite a few bees around, and while they weren't aggressive, they were definitely a nuisance, and it was enough that a couple nearby tables moved inside because they couldn't really relax. Also, deliveries and service activity happen within view of the patio, which takes away a bit from the otherwise nice setting. Overall, it's definitely worth the visit. The property is beautiful, the setup is impressive, and it's an easy place to spend a relaxed afternoon. It feels really close to being something special.
