Came here for lunch on a weekday with a friend. It was relatively dead at lunchtime, which made me think about the freshness and quality of the food - But that was quickly dispelled when we met our server and got our food! Their menu is great, such a nice assortment of soooo many things I absolutely LOVE, but our server told me how amazing the taco assortment and the smash burger was that we got one of each, with me getting the smash burger. Our food came out rather quickly and was amazing, fresh, tasty, and PERFECTLY PREPARED!!! My smash burger was excellent! Exactly what a smash burger should be. I asked for jalapeños to be added to it and they added fresh sliced jalapeños which nicely enhanced the flavor. I typically don't eat the fries that come as a side dish, but these were so darn amazing that I ate them all! They were perfectly double-fried for crispness, yet were fresh, hot, perfectly salted, and sooo tasty! Our experience, the food, the quality, and the service was very nice. This place is fabulous and serves a mixture of American and Mexican dishes. They are very family friendly and welcomed us and our kids with paper and crayons for them to draw. For an appetizer, we ordered the salsa, spinach artichoke dip and hips. My son ended up going with his standby favorite, a cheeseburger, while I got the pulled pork sandwich and my partner and daughter shared the spaghetti topped with shrimp. Basically, all our favorite foods! For dessert, we recommend the paletas (delicious ice pops). Our kids had so much fun picking out their favorites. Our daughter got the cookies and cream that was packed with full-sized oreos inside, while my son got the classic cherry flavor. The restaurant is decorated for the holidays and we loved getting our photo in front of their Christmas tree. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. This is a definite must-stop spot in Madison. read more

I should have taken pictures of the menu. I wish I had taken a picture of the menu! My aunt had a Cobb salad, my husband had crispy taquitos, our child had fries and I had something utterly delicious with chicken and potato & a slaw that had delightful freshness & just a touch of heat... and I can't remember what it was called on the menu that I didn't take a picture of! The staff were all friendly & cheerful... as was my aunt who had been waiting for us for I'm-not-sure-how-long. The waitress was very kind and the food came out very quickly once we all decided what we wanted. The dining room was clean and uncluttered. The restroom was clean and bright. We'll be happy to stop the next time we are on our way through in our travels & hopefully the next yelper through will remember to take a picture of the menu! read more

They have a pretty diverse food choice, but we just ordered a quesadilla and burrito. And these turned out to be the best either of us ever had! Fast, pleasant service and reasonably priced. The burrito was sufficient for two meals and quesadilla was thicker than I have seen elsewhere. read more

Stopped in for lunch. I've had Shrimp and Grits everywhere that serves it, New Orleans, Charleston SC, the Jefferson Hotel Richmond, many places in many states and cities. This was hands down my favorite Shrimp and Grits ever. Of all places, Madison Va. I felt like ordering a second serving when done. Great flavor with a little kick. The reason for the one star is that I was charged $34.00 for two draft beers, regular mug size. When I questioned, the price was reduced to $20.00 for the two Vienna Lager beers. We will never go there again. This is a very poor way to run a business. It is a shame because the food was good. read more

I have been to Los Brothers in Madison 5 times in the last few months. Their meal are very fresh and unique. So far, my favorite dish is the pork quesadilla. I also enjoyed the crab cake sandwich and a surprising side was sweet potato wedges. The staff is quite nice and accurate. The setting is well lit and very cozy. read more

the only reason I didn't give a 5 star is that they have no liquor license yet. A glass of red wine would have been an ideal match for the perfectly cooked ribeye steak that I had. a Caesar side salad with just the right amount of dressing, balanced out the meal. My husband had a crab cake sandwich which he pronounced as good. But we had the best item alast-- Tres Leches cake. not too sweet, but full of that milk flavor soaked in to a cake that didn't get soggy. it doesn't get better than that. one brother manages the front of the house; the other brother is the chef. they recently opened their doors. wishing them every success. read more

Put this on your "Must" list! The food is magnificent! These brothers really know how to bring great hospitality and delicious food together. The shrimp linguine was to die for! This restaurant is astoundingly good despite being open for only a few weeks! We had the Sweet Potato Wedges which I'm still salivating over 24 hours later. My wife had the Pastelitas and I had the Linguine with Shrimp. Both excellent. We're going back for Papusas next Wednesday. Don't get in our way! On a whim (ok..we did look at a few reviews) we stopped at Los Brothers on our way home to Maryland. It was Monday and we were the only customers there for a mid-afternoon late lunch. The wait staff greeted us warmly as they seated us in the immaculate, pristine dining area. My wife had the shrimp and grits and thought it was the best she had ever eaten. I had the Brother's Cauliflower, which was a tasty and superb vegetarian dish that was out of this world. We will certainly stop again on our travels to North Carolina. read more
