Orange Diner was good. They offer a small menu for 55 + up, but what I wanted was the gravy. They have country gravy that they can add sausage too, which is great because i don't like sausage. The serving was generous. The coffee was good. The difference from Edith's, where I had breakfast yesterday and Orange Cafe where I had breakfast today was within $2 difference in cost. Orange, bigger portions but also, gravy not homemade and hashbrowns not homemade. Ediths was homemade. It was very good though, dont get me wrong. Who doesn't love a local diner?! I come to our town diner very often for their omelettes because they're huge. It's probably made with 3 or 4 eggs - extremely filling. For the price you can't beat it!? On this visit I tried their vegetable burrito - again very filling. You can't go wrong with the breakfast. read more

Stopped in on a weekday morning for breakfast. Solid diner-grade breakfast experience. Ordered the Corned Beef Hash special: Corned Beef Hash (extra crispy), hash browns, two eggs over easy and Sourdough Toast - plus coffee and water. Food came up fairly quickly. The Corned Beef Hash (canned variety) was crisped up nicely. The hash browns were also crispy, eggs were cooked properly. Coffee was standard coffee - nothing to get excited about. Service was good. We had asked the car service place for a suggestion where to get breakfast in the area. He said we have lots of places he was not kidding most places around here had a 4.0 or better. He suggested Orange Diner it was great food fast service and cute atmosphere. We were seated very fast and food was delivered hot and fast. My husband got the green spicy omelet and I got the sausage gravy and biscuits. Everything was really delicious the only suggestion I would make is grind up the sausage and put it in the gravy it will give it tons more flavor. The price was right on point for quick breakfast. This place would be great for a nice breakfast with family or friends. They have 2 tables outside that would hold a good amount of people! Went there 1/2/25 for lunch! Very disappointed ! I got chicken noodle soup and the carrots were still raw! My waitress took it back and asked if I wanted anything else and I said no! The lady up front asked her if I wanted recooked! How can you recooked something that's supposed to cooked? SMH! Well the kicker was my waitress was always touching her hair and that's a no-no when dealing with food! She touched my sandwich and I watched as she brought it to me so I would not eat that side! The French fries were some of the best I've ever had. However, I was somewhat disappointed with the turkey-bacon sandwich. "Shaved" turkey breast turned out to be a couple of slices of processed deli turkey. And there was a slice of processed American cheese on the sandwich as well. The sourdough bread was nothing to write home about. I ended up eating a BLT which was fine. The food was delicious! Went with a group of five, it was a short wait for a table, but understandable because it was so busy. We got burgers with fries, French toast, pancakes, and eggs and sausage. We requested some drinks without ice, but got them with Ice. They were out of brioche burger buns so those who ordered burgers did get junior buns instead. One of the guests asked for no bun but still received it on a bun. Food was delicious, and a wonderful time, the atmosphere was fantastic and busy, but not loud busy. Would come back! read more

As we read through the reviews, we found one that was demeaning, patronizing, and rude. All the other reviews were very good. So that peaked our interest. Our experience was very different than the one star review. Nicole gave great service. She was polite, attentive, and made sure we always had refills. Plenty of parking since it's located in a strip mall. We're not diner folks as the food quality isn't usually the best since it's all cooked in cheap oils and the cheese is highly processed yellow version but not much else that's kid friendly in the area. They were busy but greeted us with a hello until they could clear a table. Our orders were taken very quickly and she was very kind. No silverware or napkins until after we asked and had our food. The fries are coated with that crispy stuff I'm not a fan of but they were good. Prices are decent for the quality of food. I ordered the salmon with 2 sides but strange enough, I got the sides first (salad and hash browns). All was good and salmon was a good sized filet and cooked to order. Hubby got a double cheeseburger and said it was ok. Kiddo had kids chicken strips (2) and fries and ate most. Ambiance is nothing special with hardly any pics on the wall and country music playing. I tried both dishes and was surprised by the quality of the food and the perfect portion sizes. We had a 5 minute wait for seating being as how it's a busy spot. It's nice to see a new restaurant in Orange that's getting business and providing good food. Casual ambiance, not too loud, small interior but sufficient, good service, quick food. We tried the Orange Diner for a late breakfast and it was phenomenal!! The servers are incredibly efficient and amazingly polite. My husband had an incredible omelette with everything in it, absolutely stuffed with meats, cheeses and vegetables, wrapped in the fluffiest eggs. Also included in his order, a short stack of pancakes. Just delicious. I ordered a breakfast combination that included French toast, eggs, very good sausage links, I substituted grits for the hash browns, which were served in a huge bowl. Grits in a diner can be a challenge, but these were a welcome surprise. Really super. We will be back as often as possible. read more

Worst customer service in my life! The little girl waiting tables, Alondra, was not only slow and inattentive, but her attitude cost her a $25 tip. Had to ask three times for the lemon my wife ordered with her water. Had to ask for silverware and napkins. "Everyone needs napkins?" Yes, princess - everyone needs napkins. Ordered wings as an appetizer that didn't show up until the rest of our lunch. Menu stated they came with ranch or blue cheese dressing. Asked for dressing, and was told they were out. Sent the wings back and asked that she take them off the check. A few minutes later, she came back, sat the wings and some sort of sauce on the table, mumbled something rude, and walked away. I took them back to the counter and told her she can remove then because I was not paying for them. Had it just been my wife and I, we surely would've walked out right then and there and let them eat the cost of the food we ordered. But the kids were hungry, and the food was actually good, so we stayed. However, this spoiled little brat has no place in customer service. I considered asking for the owner / manager do discuss Alondra's attitude. But I realize it's probably a family run place and the princess can do no wrong in daddy's eyes, so it would futile.
