Joe's is a small place near downtown Loiusa. But do not let that fool you. This place is the bomb. The steak subs are awesome. I had the steak and cheese with onions, peppers and mushrooms. The roll is good size. Lightly toasted and packed with yummy cheesesteak. These are large so gemerally we share one. The french fries look and small fabulous. The place is small with only about 5 tables inside and a half a dozen small tables outside if its warm enough. The pizza here is also very tasty. LARGE 16 in 2 topping for about 10 bucks! The sauce is sweet and delicious and the pie has lots of sauce and cheese. Just the way I like. Pepperoni is spicy and good. Sausage sweet with a kick. Makes for a great pie. This place gets busy, so you know its good. Local favorite. They only take cash so remember your wallet. Check them out next time. Prices are super Great ! read more

Carry out would be a great option here! Dining in, however, was not as great. The pizza was fine, typical of what one would expect from a small pizza joint. This is fine, it just means that good customer service is critical when the food is standard fare. Unfortunately, our waitress seemed like we were more of a bother than anything else. I had to walk inside to request a refill multiple times. We decided to sit outside, apparently they had a large wasp nest near the front seating area inside of a trash can. If I lived closer then I'd stop in for carry out occasionally, but I won't be back to dine in. read more

Decided to check this place out because of the great reviews. Husband and I both had large cheesesteaks, fries and sodas. The bill was under $20. The fries were crinkle cut, hot and crispy. Now on to the star attraction. The cheesesteak. It had a really meaty flavor and they didn't skimp on the portion size. We each ate half and were stuffed. We took the other half home to eat the next day. They reheated super well. If your ever in Louisa, stop by Joe's. It might look really small. But the flavor is big. Cash or check only. This is pretty straight forward: pizza, calzone, Stromboli, Italian specialities and some (presumably) local favorites. This place has some damn good pizza for the middle of nowhere, but don't expect it to compete with any top notch pizzerias in larger towns/cities. Pizza Dough seemed fresh. It is a small place. But good. We ordered a bunch of pizza from this Place. And they helped us load it into the vehicle. As usual, great Philly cheesesteak. However, despite a small sign about masks, no one was wearing masks besides us, there was no distancing and condiments like salt/pepper were on the table. Joes is very small, 5-6 tables inside, so distancing is not doable inside, there are 2-3 tables outside not spaced apart. IMO, Joe's should be takeout only. read more

For a quick stop, I was pleasantly surprised. It looks like a typical fast food place. The food is delivered quickly, but that is where fast ends. The sub my husband ordered might have easily come from a high end deli and my stuffed shell pasta was spot on. The children ate spaghetti, burgers and grilled cheese that could have come from your local Italian place. Superb. Very few tables (four), so effect to have to take out or wait...especially around sunset seven the hunters roll in! Even so, we weren't rushed to give up our spot. CASH or CHECK ONLY! We absolutely LOVE this place. Anytime we are close to Louisa, the kids and husband beg to go eat at Joe's place. The food is fantastic. My husband gets the pizza every time and he's a VERY picky pizza eater. My favorite is the steak & cheese special. And my kids get the spaghetti & meatballs. I had the wing dings last night and loved them. They all taste great and are extremely filling. The prices are wonderfully low. The lady at the counter remembers us each time and remembers what we had each time. That's service. It's a small place with tables inside & outside and they only take cash or checks. No credit or debit cards. We just moved here from Texas and it's nice to find a friendly, family-owned place that we can't wait to take our family to when they come to visit. read more

Their Philly Cheesesteak (steak and cheese special) was one of the best, if not the best, one I've had. Stromboli was great too - dough was nice and fresh and it was loaded with meat. A little heavy on the cheese, but overall absolutely fantastic place to stop and grab a bite. read more

Great steak and cheese sub. The large is so big that my husband and I have to split it. Great value. It would benefit them to eventually expand the size of the building. It is pretty small. Otherwise we would eat in the restaurant. As it is, we just get our food to go. I wouldn't say the place is dirty like other reviews have stated. It's just an old building. Probably a Tasty Freeze at one time considering the style. It needs a good coat of paint inside and out and some more up-to-date furniture. Definitely worth checking out when you're in town. read more
