Very dissatisfied with our last order, food was great as always, but service at Vito's is really going down without Rosie there. I placed a delivery order for 5:30 delivery. I got a call at 5:29 telling me it would be another 30 minutes with no explanation. They told us we could pick up if we wanted to, so we did but they still charged me the $5 delivery charge. What's happened? Something has changed with the food. Ordered a pizza with extra pepperoni and I don't think there was more than 1 per slice. Mainly had chopped peppers. This is normally our go to place however last few months it hasn't been as good. Hopefully this is temporary. read more

My husband and I have now visited Vito's in person for lunch, as part of a group of eight. Our previous experience was with their take-out. I will primarily report on our experience rather than that of the group of eight. We're still feeling that an overall rating of 3 continues to be appropriate. Food. (Husband: 4.5/5). He ordered the Classic Burger ($14) which is a whopping 8 oz of ground beef, with American cheese, lettuce, slices of tomato, and slivers of red onion. It is served with potato chips. You can upgrade to French Fries for an additional $2; he didn't. His burger was cooked exactly as he likes it. Well done, but still juicy. He marked down slightly only because of the price. It seemed a bit expensive whereas the side dish was only potato chips from a bag. Food, me (2/5). I ordered a specialty sub -- an eggplant parm ($13), which also comes with potato chips, but I upgraded to French Fries for an additional $2. I LOVE eggplant parm, in general, but was disappointed with Vito's sub. The main issue was that the eggplant slices were very thin, and the taste was overpowered by its coating and the oil it was made it -- rendering it quite greasy. The marinara sauce, cheese, and sub roll were fine. The French Fries were very good; actually, they were the highlight of my meal. Service. (4.5/5). Our waitress was amazing, calmly and pleasantly handling our large party of 8 -- as well as the rest of the restaurant. She said that they're generally less busy on a Wed for lunch so they usually only need one waitress. Not a perfect 5 only because the bread that was listed as part of the pasta meals for my colleagues wasn't delivered until prompted. She also needed prompting for drink refills. Wait to get food. (5/5). All eight lunch orders came out relatively quickly, and together. Value for money. (3/5). read more

We loved the bartender but were seated outside where the waitress was unhelpful and inattentive. My penne allá vodka had about 5 good shrimp but was cold and not that tasty. My partner's pesto dish was much better but still not served hot. Nice porch across from the beer garden, which is worth checking out. read more

We've dined at Vito's in the past and it was always very good. Yesterday we ordered a large combo pizza, salad and garlic bites to go. The pizza was disappointing Especially for $28. Not like the pizza we've had from Vito's in the past. It was thin with very little sauce or cheese, and the toppings were sparse at best. The lettuce in the salad was wilted and it was very small. For starters, we eat here a lot! Food...outstanding! A varied menu, all Italian based, something for everyone, I like it all. Pastas are exceptional. Pizzas fly out of their ovens constantly Service is wonderful. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Patricia is our server most of the time for us, that works for us because she is wonderful. To be honest though, all of the staff is very good. This is a place that is family friendly. We are always welcome as a couple and you see families of all sizes come in. A heads up, if you have more than a 4-person group, it will help them if you give them a call first. They take reservations so if you're coming in during the weekend, it is prudent to call in a reservation. They have indoor/outdoor dining, a lounge upstairs and a dining room downstairs. We went for dinner on Sunday, Labor Day weekend. We were a group of seven. Surprisingly we got seated right away. But we had to wait forever for food. They were busy, but we had to wait over an hour to get our meal. By then the restaurant had emptied out, the takeout line was gone. But food was still taking a while. The server and manager were very nice and understanding. We were hoping for a quick sit down meal, it was totally the opposite. My meal was mediocre, I got the meat tortellini. Their appetizers were good though: chicken wings, fried ravioli, and garlic knots were great though. I ordered delivery service online last night and had a really great experience. The online ordering worked perfect. The kitchen was running a little behind and I received a text from Carol with an update (great communication!). Our delicious food was delivered by Carol. She was pleasant and professional. Really appreciate the hospitality. It was my first time trying their cauliflower gluten free pizza with veggies and it was really tasty! (Even my husband loved it) My family and I also enjoyed the meatballs, the wings (perfectly crispy!) Caprese salad, Greek salad, cheese pizza, and a chicken Avacado sandwich. Very comforting food. Really, I was impressed by the quality of food and service since it's hard to find a decent place to eat close to Lake Anna. Glad to find another restaurant to rely on! read more

Finding decent pizza at Lake Anna is apparently impossible. You have 3 options: 1) Get frozen from the local Food Lion (near Vito's). 2) Make your own pizza at home. 3) Drive to Dr. Ho's pizza (near Charlottesville), which is super. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but Lake Anna is a pizza desert. Our group of 6 had veggie, cheese & pepperoni pizzas. I had the cheese pie, which was bland & unpleasantly chewy. One slice was enough. No flavor... yuck. I'm not kidding about frozen pizza being better. No one else raved about the food, which also included the garlic knots & calamari. read more

Very friendly staff, Amy, Pattie and Brandy are three of the ladies that work there, and all three give wonderful service. I've only tried the Pizza as a hot food, and found it to be exceptional. It is some damn fine pizza!! I've tried two of several desserts, a dark chocolate cake, and a strawberry cake that is delicious, I mean "bumping" good!!! The only pizza I get when I go is the white pizza (garlic pizza) but, I add the sweet meat sauce and pepperoni, and a side of the sauce for dipping. We had the Blackened Chicken (Very Flavorfull) with Alfredo and the Broccoli and Cheddar soup is to die for! All Gormet! The Server was very professional and attentive as Is our server tonight! It's Wednesday and we had to come back and try the Pizza! Fantastic! Pepperoni and Mushroom! Thick crust and just the right amount of sauce and cheese! The Mediterranean Salad it delicious! Ambiance? Date of second visit: November 10, 2019 I really did not want to come back to Vito's but my hubby talked me into going and ordering a pizza and trying the customer service one more time. We had a wonderful server (I can't believe I did not get her name!) She more than made up for the first time we were there with the lousy service and I told her so. We ordered a large house salad and large half mushroom half onion pizza. The pizza was wonderful! The mushrooms had a fabulous flavor as well as the onions. Our server and this pizza redeemed Vito's for us. We will be back and probably stick to the pizza and salad. read more
