his post is based off the purchase that my parents just made from this dealership. I will say that the vehicle appears to be a pretty decent truck but for the price they sold the vehicle to my parents, they really got over on them. The vehicle was sold for a significant amount above the actual value of the vehicle which I under can happen with car buying negotiations. However, them selling the car $4,000 over what they had it advertised online for was absolutely insane. I wish that they had contacted me while they were there because they definitely should have gotten a better deal. Upon actually looking at and driving the truck I still feel that the truck is a decent truck but to sell the truck for the amount that they did they could have had the the decency to make some minor rights to the truck. For instance, the truck was sold with one key fob that only has one functional button. On top of that, the bottoms of the rear seats are missing and after speaking to my parents, I found out that they were unaware that the bottoms of the rear seats were completely missing. Photos of these will be attached to this post. Overall this post will hopefully make other purchasers a little more aware of making purchases at this dealership so they don't get screwed over. Yes it ultimately is the consumer's responsibility to do the research when buying a vehicle but some are not as informed as others and some are not as tech savvy as others. On top of that dealerships know more about vehicles than are advertised or made known. I just pray that others may seek more information when going thru the vehicle vehicle buying process and attempt some form of research to attempt to lessen their chances of being significantly screwed over. The Service Department at Kia of LaGrange felt like a premier experience...they're the Dream Team and what all service departments should strive for. The Service Advisor (Jerry), Shop Foreman (Travis), and Service Director (Thavin) were all super caring and professional in both assessing and addressing the concerns I had with my 2014 Kia Soul. Not only did they fix the issues I had under warranty, they also provided me with a loaner vehicle for the week to drive back home (3.5 hours away) so that they could the get the parts in and take their time to do the job right. This is by far the best dealership service department experience I've had in 25+ years of owning multiple vehicles from different manufacturers. Seeing the recent commercials regarding the KIA financing specials I thought I would poke some dealerships to see what might be available. I'll preface this by stating that I no longer visit the dealership directly due to the nightmare of the typical car sales tactics that are used. Especially since I'm not an uneducated car buyer I simply don't have time for the show when I know what I want and what I can afford. So I start all talks online via email or another service like Auto Trader, True Car, etc. Out of 7 dealerships I contacted electronically 4 responded with actual intent to work out something electronically while the other 3 simply sent me an invitation to visit the lot. Out of the 4 that contacted me only 2 would talk numbers but only 1 went the distance to all but guarantee a price, KIA of LaGrange. They were upfront and honest with me that the price they stated would be up to me being just as honest regarding my credit and condition of my trade-in. So don't yank their chain and they won't yank yours. While this was a bit of a ride the dealership is new and fully modern, while small they are not far from the West Point factory where my vehicle was made, and by the sheet in my Owner's Manual folder made just the beginning of May just a day before my daughter's birthday, kismet. We arrived a little early were offered drinks, popcorn, while they processed our paper work and finished detailing the new car. Then we took a test drive, went over the cars features, then we started setting up my phone to the car, then we signed the final sold papers. Once that was done we moved the few things from the old KIA to the new and that was that. In under one and half hours we were in and out with a new car, at the payment we wanted but a surprisingly much lower interest rate. Not to mention the car was everything we had been told and then some, no feature I had asked for wasn't installed and at a price I really couldn't believe. My wife was so impressed that she fully intends to visit their dealership when she is ready for her next vehicle. If you decided to give them a shot I recommend talking to Kelvin Thorton or Randy Jackson. These are the gentlemen I dealt with personally but the other sales staff were all just as friendly and helpful during our visit. read more

I have been waiting 12 weeks for a refund that was supposed to take 6-8 weeks after paperwork for cancellation was submitted. I still have not received my refund I requested and submitted the paperwork for on 6/26/19 and now it is 8/19/19, which is 12 weeks. I was told I would have my refund in 6 to 8 weeks. My wife has emailed Jonathan Bowling (Finance Director) on several occasions and we have yet to hear when this matter will be resolved, his last email to her was that he would follow up with her on 8/12/19, this still has not happened, we tried to reach out to him again on 8/14/19 with no response. I believe we have been EXTREMELY patient in this matter and all we are getting is a run around. I WOULD NOT recommend anyone to do business with this dealer as they appear to have the motto of "get'em to sign and leave em behind", they have no care for the customer after they make the sale. read more

I purchased a used truck from the dealership. They were originally supposed to do three things for the vehicle. I decided to do two of them and the dealership was supposed to do the third. The third item was never taken care of by the dealership. I then find out later, that the emissions had been removed from this truck. This information wasn't disclosed by the dealership. If it had, the purchase would have went differently. I have tried to resolve this through the dealership. But I can't even get management to call me. Let me tell you about my shopping experience here, I first talked to Todd on the phone and met him in person when I walked in. We had a deal on a car in less than 30 minutes and it was a good experience. We bought a 2019 Kia Sorento and took it home and the next day the car made a loud noise under the dash several times, We recorded it on the phone and took it back on Monday to the service department and after a test drive and not being able to determine what the cause was, Todd told them to swap the car out for another one just like it! Working with Todd and Dayton I understand why folks like dealing with home town dealerships that care about their customers. Don't waste time with these guys! I spoke with a guy named Kyle who said he could order a Telluride for me. He said the order would go in 3 days after taking my deposit on a Friday afternoon and he would keep me up to date through the process. Kyle handed me off to Dayton to finalize the agreed upon cost of sale and receipt of the deposit. 2 weeks later I call and after multiple attempts with others promising he would call me back, I finally reach him expecting to hear the order was submitted but instead learn the order wasn't even placed. Kyle then gave me excuses regarding his ability to place orders and said the order would go in in the next few days and at the latest early the following week. Prior to ending the call I requested he call to confirm once the order was placed and he reassured me he would but if he didn't to call him. He said he would call to let me know the order went in, yet several more days passed without contact. I called early in the third week requesting to speak with him and was told he was promoted and someone else would be helping me because he was so busy. The new guy Drew apologized for Kyle not getting back to me (because he was so busy) and stated he spoke with Kyle and the order went in the night before my current call and they would know in a few days if the order was received, but again worst case scenario the order may go in several days later in the week. Drew said he would call and called 2 days later and late one evening to tell me it was his day off but he had reached out to Kyle and others and had not heard back. The next day when I called Drew stated the order had not been placed but they were hopeful it should be placed in the next few days. I told him I would be calling that Friday morning and requesting a refund if the order had not been placed. Now 4 weeks after taking my deposit the car had still not been ordered and I decided to call it quits with these guys (having been more than patient). When I called to request a refund of course there was no answer on Drew's phone or Kyle's phone. So I called the dealer and after being passed around finally got ahold of Drew. He stated Kyle was going to order the car that morning. I explained I was tired of the run around and requested an immediate refund. Suddenly Kyle was available to speak with me and got on the phone stating he was going to order the vehicle regardless and if I still wanted it he would reach out to me when it arrived. I explained to him that he had been feeding me this line for 4 weeks and I was no longer interested in their games and extremely dissatisfied with his dishonesty, lack of professionalism, and poor customer service. He abruptly got off the phone and passed me back to Drew. I demanded an immediate refund which was processed. ​ Kyle was dishonest from the start regarding his ability to do what he said and in my opinion likely conducts business like this as a general practice. Kyle and Dayton were in contact (for the first day) until they received my deposit. However, once I paid my deposit they put me on the "pay me no mind list". His colleagues perpetuated the lies and excuses and there is a general tone amongst all of whom I interacted with from the call operator to the above mentioned sales people in which they continually offer excuses regarding their work load how busy they are and anything but honesty and sincere acceptance of their failures. Every time I called I was met with either a non-response/answer, no response to text messages, or voice mails not set up and unable to leave messages. I also emailed the general manager 2 weeks ago to discuss this and yet to have received a response. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these guys. After a month was called saying the loan didn't go through to bring my car back. they tried to get me in a different car, I asked for my trade in and down payment back. My husband and I bought an Optima here a few years ago. I needed a new car so we went in this afternoon. I had called yesterday and spoke with Kelvin who was amazing and set us up for an appointment today. When we arrived Samson came out and introduced himself and let us know Kelvin was with another customer but he could show us some cars. Kelvin came out and turned the sale over to Samson. Samson was great! Not only does he have the same name as my 18yr old (I took it as a good sign!) he knew everything about the models I was interested in. He worked so hard to get me into a new vehicle and with the payment I wanted. Lastly we met with Jonathon who was another great guy! The time spent there today was efficient and productive. I was able to leave in my new car just a few hours after we got there! My family will continue to purchase from Kia of Lagrange! We will be back soon to help our son finance a car. Kia of LaGrange - Just purchased this today! - Car Dealers Near Me - Lagrange, Georgia

Very disappointed in KIA Motors. They have refused to honor my daughter and son-in-laws warranty on a 2014 Sorrento because they did not have the vehicle serviced at a Kia dealer. It is 2 years old with 75k miles on it and has been regularly serviced at various places. One local dealer told her not to even bring it in because she did not have regular service done there. The dealer where she bought it told her she failed to have THEM service the vehicle every 3K miles so her warranty was void. She has had many issues with power door locks, power windows and two service recalls but they have failed to repair these issues. I purchased a new Kia Sorrento in 2011 and encouraged her to buy one as well. I have since sold mine and wish she had done the same. Never again will i buy or recommend to anyone to buy a Kia. Kia South in Union City and Kia LaGrange should be ashamed of the way they treat their customers. Do not be fooled by the 100k mile warranty, a warranty is only as good as the company that backs it Kia's case it is worthless. read more

First off let me just say this. Super nice bunch to work with. we started looking for a car back around the first of the year. I went to other dealers and talk with them and looked at the used cars they had. we found some we liked but could never work out a deal with any of them. A good friend of mine told me about Dusty Hunt so I gave him a call. we was looking for a good used car. somewhere in the 12.000 range and in good shape. had to have a third row seat for all the grandkids. So I gave Dusty a call. He had some and set us up a date and time to come look. well no deal cars was out of our price range. so back to looking again at where ever we found something we was looking for. One day Dusty calls me and says man I think I got your car. He had a nice clean use car that fit what we was looking for. After going to the dealership to test drive the car we was waiting for them to get some prices together. Car was a little more then I want to pay for a used car but I needed a car and it was a nice car. so we was back a forward on price and payments. Dusty walks out and says hey man let me know show you something I have. He had a 2019 kia sorento with only 10.500 miles on it. this car is still under the full manufacturers warranty and the price and payments was like 70 bucks a month more than the used car. Talk about a no brainer What a deal. I get a almost new car with warranty for only 70 bucks a month more only a fool would pass this up. My daughter and I both purchased brand new KIA Souls from KIA of LaGrange in 2014. I bought the KIA Soul Plus and she bought the KIA Soul Exclaim. So, within one month, we spent $50,000 at this dealership. My daughter was sold the Coverall Premiere Service Wrap Warranty for an additional $1200 by one of the KIA of LaGrange financial managers there at the dealership. At time of purchase, she was told that this particular warranty was the best available and that it was like a "blanket which would cover the entire car except for the tires". She paid the extra $1200 to get this warranty, as well as another $379 for the paint and stain guard. She has her car serviced every 5,000 miles at Sons KIA in McDonough, GA..........thus meeting requirements of warranty agreement. Now, 2 years later, she has tried, for the first time, to use her warranty to repair a chipped windshield. John Bowling, a KIA of LaGrange, told her that the windshield repair is not covered under her Coverall Premiere Service Wrap Warranty that is like a "blanket which covers the entire car except for tires". Nor are the areas in back where there are a few scratches. When told that the financial manager, who is no longer employed by KIA of LaGrange, had assured her that this particular warranty was the best offered and would cover all damages except tire replacement, Mr. Bowling said he didn't know what she'd been told; but that KIA of LaGrange would not honor the promise. My daughter then asked to speak with Mr. Bowling's supervisor, a John Gerdeman. John Gerdeman is the General Sales Manager at KIA of LaGrange. Mr. Gerdeman also refused to honor the promise. He seemed unconcerned and cavalier about my daughter's predicament. I heard the entire exchange and was shocked at the lack of concern for customers who have bought two brand-new vehicles from his dealership. Steer clear of buying warranties from this dealership, as they will not honor what you are promised. read more

Where to begin... KIA OF LAGRANGE!! Brought my car to them several times with the engine knocking, the first time they took the engine cover off to look at the engine, said they couldn't hear any noise, told me I wasn't putting the right kind of fuel in my car. A couple days later, smoke starts rolling out from under the hood, waited 3 hours on a tow truck. Get car to service department and was told that they had NO IDEA how the engine cover fell on top of the exhaust because they never touched it.... lie straight to my face. I watched you take it off. You failed to seat it properly when putting it back, but you were in such a rush to get me out of there I was unaware. Brought vehicle back a week later, same engine knock. You kept my car, I was irritated about wasting more time there so I decided to see about trading it in. Was told I was approved on a 21 sorento, we agreed on payment, was sent out the door in sorento, was called on my lunch break by Eric in finance. Was told they actually couldn't approve me on that vehicle and I need to bring it back. I brought it back the next morning, salesperson Ridge tried to convince me to try a soul, because they had changed in the last 5-6 years or so since I owned one. test drove it, examined it, car had manufactured defects. I hated everything about it, and explained that to the sales staff. They kept trying to convince me to purchase and withheld my keys from me. Finally got my point made that I wasn't willing to downgrade from my current vehicle for a payment that was nearly $200 more that the payment I'm making now. Finally got my key back and started to move things from the soul back to my vehicle. As my boyfriend and I were getting our things out of the soul back into my vehicle the sales person Ridge took off, without making sure we were done retrieving our belongings, with the soul across the parking lot WITH OUR 7 WEEK OLD SON IN THE BACKSEAT. he was not snapped into his car seat base, because as stated above, we were moving things from one vehicle to another. I ran across the parking lot waving down the car sales person. And did not even receive so much as an apology. I brought my vehicle back a week later with a new video of the engine knocking after my fellow coworkers heard the noise and helped me check the oil, was put into a loaner vehicle that did not even have ANY kind of tag on the License plate area. So I had to continue to rearrange my life with a full time rotating schedule job and a newborn to go up there for a tag for loaner vehicle. Next day I realize that they have not changed oil or did any inspection on loaner vehicle. Had to take more time out of my week to go have loaner vehicle serviced. Which took a good hour and a half after getting off work, having to pay my daycare provider extra to keep my son longer because I do not feel safe bringing him to that dealership after the past incident. I truly feel ripped off and embarrassed that these people represent the Kia brand. read more

Let me start by saying that I loved my 2017 Forte until I totaled it in May of this year. 4 car collision with me being the last car. Out of the 4 cars my Forte was totaled. Front bumper was crushed up into the dash. Strange thing was NO AIR BAG DEPLOYED!!!!!! I had a cracked sternum and bruises where the seat belt was for a month. When I went to the location where my car got towed to remove my things, I took a look around. I counted 7 Kia's in that junk yard all totaled and sure there was probability even a death in 1 but NO AIR BAGS were deployed in either of the Kia's. I even walked around with guy that worked there and he verified that these bags did not deploy. Explain Kia WHY with head on collisions are your air bags not deploying? read more

First of all let me say I like this dealership. I bought my car from Dan Tracy in October 2016. With that being said I went back in March 2017 to see if I could get something a little bigger for my family. My sales person, Dan, no longer works there so they paired me with a sales person named Sean Allah. They ended up not being able to help me because what I owe on my car is much more than what my car is worth and I get that. I was very unimpressed with Sean, his communication skills were extremely ineffective. He was sarcastic and he came off as rude although I'm sure that was not his intent. He did confess to me that he just started at this dealership but if this is your job, you should attempt to be a little more respectful. Let me give you an example of one mishap we had. "I can help you make your car payments."- Sean "What?"-me "Just like I said (while ROLLING his eyes). I. Can. Help you. Make your. Car payment."- Sean He slowed the sentence down for me as if he hadn't a clue why I said what or intending that I was dumb. I most likely will not be back to this dealership solely because if this man. Nor will I send my friends or family. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere or at least make sure you do not work with Sean Allah. read more

There are 5 POOR reviews - and only 2 good reviews one from 2015 and one from April 2016. hmmm - I have contacted Kia Customer Affairs who were to contact Kia of LaGrange - still have not heard anything. Should I have to put $1500 into a vehicle that I purchased from them!!!!!! That is what I am doing. It seems from the poor reviews there is a constant of lack of trust and lack of customer service. Small town normally means customer service. Their slogan is Support Local Economy - how is that going to be possible when they treat their customers this way? After this experience I feel as though they stood at the door when I drove off the lot and said "SUCKER" When the local Kia dealership tried to speak with them on the issues that were found (Including a transmission that is not the original - shouldn't I been made aware of this???) he was hung up on 4 times by Lagrange Kia and once he was able to speak to the service manager it was told to him "You don't need to tell her this but we are not going to do anything for her" Wow - that's professional! I have purchased several cars in my life and have never been treated this poorly and given a car with so much needed. It was shown to me after from the local dealership that all was done to this car was change out wiper blades and an oil change - they never gave it a Used Car Inspection - how do they even know what they are selling and the condition of the vehicle and the SAFETY of the vehicle they are selling!? They allowed me a loaner car which they took off the lot so I could run some errands when they were "fixing" the breaks and the NON-ALIGNMENT that they did not do - the car they allowed me use was dirty inside, the check engine light was on and it smelled - this is the type of vehicle they are trying to sell on their lot! I am still fuming over this! I had the transmission repaired as it was pouring out transmission fluid (did not know until I took it in to be inspected) now I have to pay for a new strut that was bent (again, was like this when I purchased the car and they said it was the alignment!) and 4 new tires and another alignment. The tires are at 3/32 and 5/32 tred - not the safest tires and this is how they provide a vehicle at their "highest standards". Their standards are a joke and if they continue to treat customers like this it will effect them! Purchasing a car is not buying a pack of gum this is a major investment and plays with ones life if things like this are present! Kia of LaGrange - step up your game!!!! Go back to customer service classes - sales training - and find some basic empathy for the "suckers" you are selling to. How do you go home at night with out your conscience not screaming at you and you tell your family you had a great sales day!? Kyle I hope your $200 was worth it and for the general profit you all made on selling me that car - I hope your numbers for the month were well worth it. All you all had to do was the RIGHT thing and the PROPER thing and stand behind the car that you sold me - instead you blew me off for 2 weeks until I got another Kia dealership involved - actually there were 2 dealerships involved and they are appalled at what I am going through with you all. On October 13, 2014, I purchased a brand-new 2014 KIA Soul Exclaim from KIA of LaGrange. At time of purchase, I was convinced by one of the financial managers to pay an additional $1200 for the Coverall Premiere Care Wrap and $376 for the Paint and Fabric Defense warranty. I was assured that this warranty was a "blanket that covers the entire car except for the tires" and would handle repairs other than tire damage. Now, 2 years later, I have a couple of chips in my exterior paint where I have loaded props, as well as a chipped windshield. During the 2 years that I have owned my KIA Soul, I have faithfully kept my obligations by servicing my car every 5,000 miles at SONS KIA of McDonough. Now, when I called KIA of LaGrange to have the paint chips repaired under my Paint and Fabric Defense warranty, I was informed that my warranty does not cover that. When I asked about the windshield chip repair under my Coverall Premiere Care Wrap warranty, I was informed that that ALSO is not covered. I first spoke with Jonathon Bowling concerning these two issues. Then, when I received no help from him, I spoke with John Gerdeman, General Sales Manager of the KIA of LaGrange dealership. He also offered no solution and seemed to shrug off what the financial manager had told me in order to sell me these two additional warranties. Mr. Gerdeman went so far as to tell me that the financial manager no longer worked there; and, because he himself had not been present in the room when these promises were made, he did not know if they were true.
