No stars so dishonest, no respect for women the repair shop had our car for five months and gave us the run around will never use them again

Langley GMC recently quoted my Uncle nearly $5,000 for a new transmission without providing…read moreestimated timelines for parts delivery or repair completion. You'd think for 5k, they would at least offer a loaner vehicle. They did not. The service department staff was rude and dismissive when we asked for detailed information on delays in receiving the transmission and the repair timelines. They also failed to contact the warranty company after they were notified that the vehicle had an extended warranty. I towed the vehicle to Auto Gallery in LaGrange on 3/20/26, and they made it clear that they would not be able to assess the vehicle until 4/3/26. The vehicle was ready for pickup on 4/9/26. It was not the transmission and the repairs were covered under warranty. Paid a $100.00 deductible. The Langley repair department is either severely incompetent, or the dealership allows employees to take financial advantage of their customers. Without any question they have the best shop and mechanics in the area. Scrupulously honest,…read morefriendly and reliable. I will not take my car anywhere else for mechanical issues. The entire staff, from the top down, are courteous and ethical. They also show remarkable alacrity. Having had the misfortune of using another dealer I was acclimated to a more languid pace on service, as well as a certain anxiety as to the competence of the work done. Not a problem with Langley as they keep you informed and they work with impressive speed and skill. I cannot recommend them too highly. They are the Platinum standard in dealers and service.

I'd give zero stars if I could. Jim lied to us several times…read moreand held my documents hostage over money that I did not owe him. Bad business practice, BEWARE OF THIS PLACE AND THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE My fiancé was the only person on the lease of the car. My fiancé gave Jim a courtesy call with our new address on the other side of the country and let him know our payment would be late, we've done this with him before - he said it was ok. He still had the car repossessed two weeks later and the tow guy threw MOST of our belongings out at a police station (while trespassing at the station) but kept ALL of our legal documents. Wallet, IDs, passports, birth certificates - literally. ANY means to identify ourselves. We contacted them and they CLAIMED they didn't know those items were in the car. Jim then lied to my fiancé and told him once he got a confirmation/tracking number for the car keys being sent to him, he would send us our things. We managed to do that with the help of friends since we didn't have any identification means or access to our own damn money. We sent him the number, he refused to send my things STILL. I called him, he was incredibly RUDE and actually hung up on me once I told him I need my things back. So I texted him. He pretty much rubbed it in my face and even said things like "enjoy the ride back to Alabama" (we are across the damn country) and literally told me he'd take me to court and sue me for money my FIANCÉ owes him. He specifically said this. And held my items hostage. Put us through A LOT and put us in a helpless position and enjoyed doing it to us. It took me sending a grown man to his office and then they finally gave my friend my things for me. None of this is good or even acceptable business practice. ID AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH JIM AND CAINS AUTO SALES ALL TOGETHER.
