My son's vehicle was taken to Ray's in late August following a serious accident. The initial repair estimate provided to USAA was approximately $9,000. To date, insurance has paid Ray's almost $17,000, yet the truck remains incompletely repaired. The estimated repair time was also significantly inaccurate, resulting in substantial rental fees, as we were forced to rent a replacement vehicle on a daily basis due to repeated delays and miscommunication. When the truck was initially returned approximately six weeks later, the following issues had not been properly addressed: Pinstripe did not match Tail light chipped Paint chips above the front chrome bumper Tailgate was only attached by cables (unsafe for use) Rear differential locked, causing grinding noises when turning Large plastic piece left in the truck bed Gap in the front panel After the truck was returned to Ray's for an additional week, these items were corrected. However, the front tire still does not hold air. Ray's has stated the tire was not damaged in the accident and that they observed no issues during the six weeks they had the vehicle. However, the vehicle's app documents multiple instances of low tire pressure that were corrected during that period. Based on our experience, I strongly advise seeking another repair shop. Ray's demonstrated poor communication, misrepresentation, and substandard workmanship. My husband hit a deer in mid February and got right on getting a claim turned in. We chose Rays Collision Center because we've dealt with them before with no issues. He was informed they couldn't get his car in until April 25th and that date was firm. So we dropped the car off and Rays STILL has his car! Only issue was they were waiting on a headlight. Well the headlight FINALLY CAME IN June 21st and they said his car would be done this week. He called today and got the owner of the company on the phone who had been out with a broken leg for 6 weeks so she was unaware of the issues we have had. She told my husband the car won't be done until next week now!!! Seriously! Needless to say we won't be returning to Rays any time soon once we get my husbands car back! read more

I had a simple parking lot accident that Primarily damaged the left corner of my 2020 Hyundia Sonata. Just looking at the car after they finished the body damage it looked fine. But it was the little things that weren't readily apparent that they screwed up. After driving it a few days, a piece of fiberglass undercarriage fell off the car. When I took the car back, they claimed I had run over a curb and caused the damage, which was a bald face lie. They refused to make it right. Fast forward more than six months. I started getting warning from my Hum diagnostics device that the car was running hot. But it was not showing up any warning lights on the car. Then, in December 2021 I drove the car from Dothan to Auburn and got a warning from the Hyundai system that the car had run hot and needed to be shut down. After it cooled off, I checked the coolant level, and it was fine. I took the car into Hyundai of Auburn. Two days later, the shop advised me that Ray's Collision Center workers had put the wrong kind of coolant in the car and there was damage done to the car's radiator. They were still testing it, but their charge just find the damage was already at $200 under a new leased vehicle, and I have no idea what the final bill will be. Arrogant and irresponsible repair workers at Ray's's. I will never send another vehicle of mine to Rays. They are incompetent and arrogant! read more

I got rear-ended by another driver and had to use their insurance, state farm. After going to the original body shop of choice and getting a ridiculous estimate that resulted in insurance wanting to total my car, I had to battle to prove my car shouldn't be totaled for a simple dent in the back. After a month and a half of battling state farm with other estimates, I ended up coming here and getting an estimate from the state farm estimator (whose name sadly escapes me, but he was AMAZING). He was the first person from state farm who was REASONABLE, kind, and just an overall outstanding guy. He not only gave me a very fair estimate on my car, but after writing up said estimate, he walked it through with me, line by line, so I knew EVERYTHING that was on there and why. This estimate was half the cost of the original estimate of the preferred shop, and finally ended my battle with StateFarm. My car is now getting fixed, and I am a very happy camper. read more

It's always a pain to have to get your car's body fixed up (especially when it's not your fault, argh!) but at least Ray's makes the process not so awful. The folks that work here are very pleasant and easy to deal with and were patient with all my questions. They weren't the preferred body shop for the insurance company I had to use but they have a good relationship with that company's adjuster. I do believe they are the preferred shop for some other insurance companies. There is a Hertz rental car office on-site so if you need a rental, you can drive off in a temporary vehicle. Ray's also keeps you updated on the repair progress via text messages, and often the repairs take less time than estimated. And they are not a chain too. I know other people who use Ray's as well and are satisfied. read more

If I could give 6 stars I would. Ray's was chosen as the collision center to repair my daughter's vehicle. I don't have enough words to express our gratitude to you guys. If your looking for a good body shop in Auburn Ray's is not it. took my vehicle to get estimate and they are the only body shop in the US that you have to make appointment to get estimate. needless to say I went a mile up the street and got one in 5 minutes and they got my business. read more

Concerning the previous review. I am that woman's husband. When I called the owner the next day to tell him that I thought his behavior towards my wife was not called for and to tell him the effects that his abusive behavior had on her, he yelled at me, accused me of attempting to commit fraud and theft, then hung up on me. I called back immediately and he told me he did not have time to listen to me so "make it quick". I told him that this situation was due to miscommunication and that his behavior is totally out of line. He said ok and then hung up. Even though this shop has a high rating with USAA insurance, they are not to be trusted and they are extraordinarily rude (even for mechanics). I would strongly suggest going somewhere else for repair work. read more

My trunk lid got blown open in a windstorm and bent so that it wouldn't close. I had no idea what it would cost, or whether my insurance would cover the damage. A fellow from Ray's took a look at it, saw no obvious structural damage, jimmied it around with a few good pushes, and in three minutes it was back in place. He shook my hand and said there was no charge. I know where I am taking my future body work--Ray's Collision Center. read more

I am so impressed with Ray's Collision Center. They were above the best - very professional and made you feel welcome. As soon as I came through their doors I was catered to - I was able to sit down with a cool drink (middle of summer!) and my kids had toys and books to entertain themselves with. Our diesel truck had broke down and needed a few parts to get it rolling - they had the parts on order even before the wrecker came in with the truck. Not only that, but they stayed into the evening to get us back on the road in order to get home to NW Florida that night. Great shop. My truck was in a hit and run, and Ray's worked with me to minimize how much I had to pay out of pocket (the claim went through my own insurance with a $1000 deductible). They did the work right, did it quick, and for a fair price. I plan on going back if I need more work done. This is not the type of shop that is going to try and screw you over. read more

I (unfortunately) have had many accidents and have used a few body shops over the past couple of years. Ray's was by far the best. I am a student here at Auburn and this was probably the first place (in my 4 years here) that didn't just treat me like I was just "some kid." They were extremely nice and helpful. They had to replace the entire lift gate on my 4Runner and did a great job. They were fast, professional and everyone I interacted with was very personable and informative. I would highly suggest using Ray's if you need any type of body work. I can't say enough good things about their service! read more

We used Rays because of a fender bender caused by someone else. Beth is sweet and professional. But the owner is very rude and has very poor social skills. There is severe lack of communication between the owner, the mechanics, and the office personnel. Here's what happened: the mechanics did not fix the step pad the first time. My husband was told he could pay when the replacement part arrived and was put on. But today, the owner called me and literally yelled at me that we better come and pay by tomorrow at 9 am (he called at 4:30 pm) or he'd go to the courthouse and put out a warrant for my husband's arrest. He was extremely rude to me. When I tried to say that my husband was told by a mechanic that he didn't have to pay yet, the owner yelled again that we'd better pay up or get arrested, and then he hung up on me. I would not recommend this car repair center to anyone. Find somewhere else to go: a place with better communication skills, better car repair skills, and an owner that doesn't treat honest people as dishonest. read more

I took my car to Ray's for a tint and the customer service was the worst I have ever experienced! I was told it would take at most 2 1/2 hours to complete when I made the appointment. I brought in my car and was assured it would be done by the end of the day. I called before they closed to be told it would was no where near finished! They asked me to leave my car over night! For a window tint? really! I told them I needed my car that day as promised because I had to leave town the next day. Well they ended up finishing 8 hours later from my appointment time! The people at the office were actually getting an attitude with me because I wanted my car that day! Because I didn't get it until well after 9 pm i could not see the tint well. The next day I notice bubbles all through out my tint! Just awful! I called to talk to the manager about the poor tint work and he was very rude and nasty with me! He even told me that he personally never told me it would take 2 1/2 hours so he didn't care that it took over 8 hours to do! What kind of service is that??? I would rather take the money I lost on this bad window tint and go pay for a REAL professional to re-do my tint! It was that bad! I don't even trust them to ever touch my car again! Do not get a tint from them! Very bad customer service! Beware they don't car about their customers! The only reason they get one star is because I can't give them zero! read more

my wife used them a couple of months ago. she was pleased with the friendliness exempted. although only a rear panel easily replaced , they did well. everything lines up and I see no damage. I will report more in the near future about my experience. clipped in an Altima with the fiberglass panel busted, then the metal at the gas tank pushed in. gas cap guard unable to open as well as have shifted the trunk. shall see and report but the wife said they were very nice, provided a rental ect... going to give them a shot. read more
