Horrible experience customer service. I can now see why they have very low rating. I tried to use a coupon for a 10-piece chicken bucket and asked for breast meat substitutions. Initially, the staff refused, claiming it wasn't possible. After showing them the coupon explicitly stating substitutions were allowed with an additional charge, they grudgingly offered me 4 breasts and 6 thighs but then charged me over $30, completely ignoring and refusing to accept the coupon! What kind of scam is this? This was my first and definitely last visit to this place. The vibe was off, the place was filthy, and it feels like they're just out to fleece customers. Never again will I step foot in this KFC. Instead, we went to Peri Peri Chicken, where we were gladly willing to pay extra for much better customer service and superior food. read more

Placed an order through the KFC app for the family after work on Saturday so I didn't have to cook. When I arrived to pick up the order, the very unfriendly woman behind the counter flings my order across the counter at me and returns to her very unwelcoming stance behind the register. No thank you or anything. Got out to the car and something told me to check the order, as I live over a half hour from the store. My order was a very simple menu order which was missing 2 items and the fries tasted like they had been sitting there for 2 hours. I had arrived within 1-2 minutes of my requested pickup time. The tag on the sealed bag says checked and double checked for accuracy. Back inside to the same unfriendly woman, told her there was a sandwich and a bowl missing. "Well, which bowl is missing?". I had ordered 3. Not labeled so I had no idea which was missing. She tells me she's having one of the 2 made. I asked which one as I didn't know which was missing, she says one of them because that one has fries. They both had fries. Never an apology or a thank you. Pretty bad when that kind of service and order prep warrants $20/ hour and my kids bust their butts at work for barely more than that. Won't be back! read more

I was on the phone with my wife when she pulled in the drive through of your KFC franchise in Redding CA. To my unpleasant surprise I heard a rushed and aggresive male voice through her phone telling my wife that it will be another 40 minutes to get the chicken she ordered 30 minutes ago. My wife politely asked why? when she had already went through the drive through 30 minutes before to order the chicken and was told that her order will be ready in 20-30 minutes. My wife paid for the order and was told to pull forward out of the drive through. 30 minutes later my wife went through the drive through again and that is when I heard this male voice through my wife's phone in a loud, rushed and aggressive manner telling her that they gave her order away because she didn't come back in 30 min. To pick up her order. My wife tried explaining that she did exactly what they told her to do which is to come back in 30 min. But the man keep interrupting every word she is trying to say in an aggressive manner sticking to his narrative of "there is nothing I can do. Either you wait 40 min. Or I can give you a refund". Imagine my great frustration being on the other line and hearing this man basically being super rude and aggressive to my wife, not letting her talk. The man literally repeated the same narrative 5x not letting my wife finish her sentence. Mind you I had my 4 year old and 6 year old in the car with her and both was waiting for their dinner patiently in the car as well as observing the negative behavior of this man. He said he was the manager and no one was higher than him present at the time. As someone who also works in customer service, although my customers are highly sick, stressed, and strained patients and their family being a registered nurse manager myself I know that supporting the customer through a stressful situation is the first priority and not instigate or escalate the situation to a more negative confrontation. Your managers attitude and demeanor that night was incredibly rude and demeaning. He wouldn't even listen to what my wife was saying. He wouldn't even entertain a word. He berated my wife and was hell bent on getting his point across by raising his voice in an aggressive manner and interrupting my wife mid sentence. I don't even do that to my wife let alone allow some other person do that to her. Maybe if he was more accommodating and actively listening then the experience would have been less stressful for my wife and kids. He would have also known that my wife's car has a continuous dash cam recording with a time stamp showing when my wife first ordered and came back for her order within or at 30 min which was the instruction first given to her. Absolutely unacceptable for a manager of a business to interact to a customer who has done nothing wrong. This incident happened on July 16, 2024 between 2030 to 2100 hours (8:30pm to 9:00pm). This incident will be reported to the KFC redding franchise owner Stewart Restaurant Group, Better Business Bureau, Google reviews, Yelp reviews, KFC corporate complaint line, and related facebook groups. read more

We just went to our local KFC for dinner after moving furniture all day. While I was at the counter ordering dinner, a female employee (Tia) informed my husband, who was holding my service dog that he was not welcome there. I told her that he was service animal She and that unless he was wearing a vest, he had to leave. Another customer stepped up and told her that she was wrong, and she argued. Food was amazing and was really fast! But my family had the unfortunate displeasure of having Tia as a janitor. My grandmother sat down at a table as to not hurt her back more. As me and my mother wait to order food, Tia has the audacity to move my grandmother out of her seat to clean under ONE table. There was a second lovely Hispanic family in the restaurant and as they were leaving Tia tells them they are not allowed to use the bathrooms as she is cleaning them (she was cleaning outside of one bathroom) and treated the sweet 79 year old man like a dog yelling at him to stand on the dry unclean floor she hadn't mopped yet. He laughed at her face and we started a conversation with him about her rude behavior. He said he was used to being talked down to so it was funny seeing it come from a lady who looked older than him. The family left and Tia decided to go to her manager and gaslight him into believing it was a language barrier issue before it came to their attention... we left a formal complaint about Tia and her not so friendly and welcoming behavior. I had a craving for KFC chicken thighs. When traveling the first night's hotel meal would be KFC chicken. I hadn't visited my Redding KFC so I planned a trip there. It was hard to bypass Bartels for a burger but I was craving KFC. I was feeling all my arthritic aches and pains and stiffness when I got out of the car. I could have gone through the drive through but I would have missed the good smells. I was pleasantly surprised when a young man opened and held the door open for me from the inside and he wasn't leaving. The clerks were very busy but I got my order in and waited. My order came up quickly and I was gifted an extra piece of chicken. Always appreciated! I drove home with a smile on my face and the smell of KFC fried chicken in my car. I managed to have 3 meals from that 6 piece box of chicken. That is money well spent. Remember to respect your fast food servers. They deserve it. read more

Upon our arrival inside we were excited, we were not greeted, the cashier looked like she didn't want to be there, no smile, just looking angry. She took our order grudgingly, when I asked for a military discount she just walked away , then a smiling young man came from the kitchen to apply the discount. A few minutes later we got our order, in a to-go bag, we were never asked if we wanted it to go, my meal was on its side and nothing else, I had to get my own condiments, napkins, silverware, just ridiculous. The music was loud and not family friendly, an elderly couple couldn't even hear their name being called due to the volume level. The food was good, except for the dry biscuit.
