This brand new incarnation still has some kinks to work out but I got here even before their official grand opening. They've been so busy (good location) they can't get set up for their real grand opening. When I went in they still didn't have any diet drinks and didn't seem to get the concept. When I was disappointed they didn't have Coke Zero they offered regular Coke, then each and every high sugar drink they do have as if that might change my mind. Then they admitted, they still were waiting on their first shipments of many menu items. The chicken tenders were good, the sauce selection is good, I sure hope this new ownership is successful, they seem nice.

I have had gold rush quite a few times since my last review. I'd have to say I'm still not the…read morebiggest fan of their chicken. For me, it's lacking flavor. They cook the chicken pretty well but I need more flavor. Outside of that, I recently tried their pizza and burger. And although I was not impressed with their burger at all, their pizza was really good. So I increased my stars based on the fact that their pizza is good. Every time I order from there I try to get something new. I have also tried their onion rings, fries and mozzarella sticks. All standard and ok. The burger does not come with any toppings but they can add onion. Meh, definitely better burgers elsewhere.

The meal with three chicken fingers was a bit expensive at nearly $12. It came with a large sofa, fries, and a slice of toasted bread. For the price, I expected big, plump chicken tenders. What I got was 4 little tenders! The Mc Dinalds tenders are bigge! Seasoning, it could have used some seasoning. Maybe even salt! They were crispy and hot though. So all in all, it was ok! But I wouldn't go out of my way to go there.

We had people coming over for a birthday party and heard about Mo's Chicken Shack and decided to…read moregive them a try. I had some menu questions and reached out on Facebook and they were very attentive and patient in answering my questions. The service in the store was excellent and personable. We did order and pay a day ahead since this was a bit larger of an order and they were finishing packing it up when I walked in at the time I said I'd be there. Things were well packaged in aluminum tins for the chicken and fries. The chicken had a piece of white bread in there to soak up any liquid and make sure the chicken stayed crisp. The sides were in Styrofoam containers with plastic lids and the cornbread was wrapped in plastic wrap and placed in a Styrofoam container. I ended up order three of the family dinners. Each comes with two pieces each of breasts, thighs, legs, and wings, plus four squares of cornbread, and four 8-ounce sides or a large fry. We had seven people and had more than a family dinner left over so plenty of food. The chicken was excellent. The outside was crisp and flavorful. The wings, thighs, and legs were moist. The breasts were just a touch dry. Everyone raved about the fries. Not sure about the seasoning but they were superb. You can see the large fries are a shareable size. We ordered three different sides - baked mac and cheese, candied yams, and green beans (with potato and bacon). The green beans were tremendous. The candied yams were sweet...for flavor some folks thought nutmeg. The mac and cheese was what you'd expect from mac and cheese. The cornbread was slightly moist and flavorful. Everyone loves it with a few people going back for seconds. Overall, everyone had very positive comments about the food. our total to feed seven people (we'd been expecting ten) with plenty of leftovers was $94 (they do charge extra for using a credit card). This would've fed the full ten we were expecting so under $10/person is a great bargain! I highly recommend. Give Mo's Chicken Shack a try yourself. It's well worth it. The Southerner in our group commented that this reminded him of his roots.
