On this rainy December day after Christmas we were heading to Roosevelt Field Mall and decided to detour to Dave's. The big "Strong Island" sign emphasized local ties even though the chain started in LA. We first balked at the prices. But then we saw the serving sizes!! First, the chicken "tenders" are the size of chicken cutlets. The meals look expensive ($12 for 1 tender, pickles and fries) but a single tender is a full meal for most people!
