You can order on the app, or order on the kiosk when you arrive. You can either pay with your card or pay in cash in person. I ordered from Michal Symon's Mediterranean place. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki & Avocado Sandwich. It was described as chicken souvlaki, tomatoes, cucumbers, red pepper, feta, avocado, romaine, hummus, eggplant spread, and crispy shallots. It was all on top of a pita which was placed in a container. It made it very difficult to take out of the container and I wasn't able to eat it as a sandwich. Flavor-wise it was tasty though. It is very wasteful though. The containers of food go in a bag and my can of soda went in another bag. There's a much better way of doing this and not wasting so much material and plastic. I was also told my name would be called when my order was ready. This was not the case. I did opt-in for text updates. That's how I knew my order was ready. When I received the text I grabbed my order from the shelf and the employee was not very nice about it. She needs better customer service training. There are only about 4 tables inside. The wait was about 20 minutes. I feel it's one and done for me.

I found it's no easy task to find fresh vegan food in these parts, let alone places that deliver throughout Nassau and Western Suffolk counties as does Conscious Kitchen LI. So I was very happy to stumble upon CKLI's pics of beautiful fresh veggie concoctions on Instagram, perused their weekly online menu and placed an order via their secure website (note: currently CKLI is a delivery only biz, no eat-in facilities). Food is made from scratch, locally sourced and organic. For my first delivery I got: 1) weekly special salad - microgreens, chick peas, beets, asparagus, strawberries, almonds and other goodies with miso dressing on the side; 2) Falafel Hummus Wrap; 3) Thai Butternut Squash Soup; 4) Pasta Fagioli Soup; 5) Green and Red Juices. My food was delivered on time, nicely packaged in compostable containers. I enjoyed everything I ordered and portions were pretty good, especially the pristinely fresh salad which weighed in at 16 oz. Fresh squeezed juices were especially delicious, housed in cute glass bottles that one can exchange at the next order drop-off. Soups were more like stews, thick, hearty and well spiced with fresh herbs. CKLI is a small biz that delivers locally (0-5 miles from Glen Cove) from 5-6:30PM, and 5+ miles away from 6:30-8PM. I fall into the latter area and got my food at 6:30. Delivery is flat rate $5 Glen Cove local and $6 for other LI towns, not bad if you're placing a robust order. For now my cheeseburger-addicted hubbie took a pass on these vegan vittles, but I'm still hoping he'll try something from my next CKLI deliver lol. It's a good start for someone who is trying to lose weight / be mindful of their carb/protein intake, especially if meal prepping is difficult for you. Otherwise, honestly I feel like I could cook most of the meals myself and adjust the flavors more to my liking. This service is certainly a convenient option for those who prefer not to cook or go out for lunch everyday. We like to grab a few to have as options for the week, it saves a lot of time and money. The less decisions for us to make later, the better. The store has a decent selection, which changes routinely. They have at least 10, maybe even 15 options when you walk in. The only way to know what is in the different fridges is to physically open each fridge and take inventory yourself. Out of all of the meal prep services I am familiar with, so far this one is the most convenient for me locally. I am a personal trainer and have ordered from many different meal prep companies. I used to pay $50 just for the shipping from Florida- so this is definitely easier on my wallet. Bottom line- I suggest you check out this service to see what they're made of yourself. $10/meal isn't going to break the bank, plus the meals are healthier than what you can usually find for takeout.

When I brought this to the assistant's attention, she called her supervisor and explained that the label had not been updated to reflect the new price. While I understand pricing errors can happen, good customer service would have been to honor the clearly marked price and correct future labels--not insist I pay more than what was advertised. Instead, I was told I had to pay the higher price. It left me questioning the store's pricing practices. This isn't the first disappointing experience. On another occasion, the same assistant refused to let me return a meal I had just purchased--despite the fact that I hadn't even left the store and only wanted to exchange it because my daughter changed her mind. Additionally, I've noticed that the portion sizes of the meals have been shrinking noticeably over the past year. Overall, I'm becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the service and value at this location.

As I was waiting I decided to add a grandma slice and a spinach pinwheel to my order. Why not? This is the land of variety and choices. The service was fast and friendly and all the food was delicious! They even threw in a couple of cinnamon style donuts for free. Although possible to eat there, I took the food to go. It's a small place, but everyone was wearing masks. I will definitely go back!
