THIS IS A REVIEW FROM AN UBEREATS ORDER This was my boyfriend and I's first time trying Yoyo chicken after hearing great things and we were really looking forward to it but was horribly disappointed. (TLDR - we both got sick) Placed an uber eats order for tenders & fries and it came fairly quickly so the chicken was still hot & crispy, though the waffle fries we ordered were steamed together so it was kinda soft. The tenders look like they were flattened then fried which I appreciated because that means theres more surface for the seasoning & extra cripsy. However, my bf who ordered the Original said his was bland & tasted plastic-y ( i thought it was ok, underseasoned but not necessarily plastic). My tenders were supposed to be Very Hot but it wasnt particularly spicy and had a slight acidity which makes me wonder if i got the hot lemon pepper instead? There was definitely seasoning though because it was visibly reader & coated in an oil that but it wasnt particularly flavorful. (I recently got Famous Daves and will say its not as flavorful as their Hot). The main issue came after when my bf suddenly felt unwell and said his stomach hurt, we originally figured it wasnt related to yoyo chicken and was a fluke because I felt okay and this was the only meal we shared. However, hours later both my bf and I woke up from stomach pain and were pretty violently ill. (Ill save you guys the details). Unsure what happened because we heard great things (albeit from a different location) but I honestly dont think we will risk trying yoyo chicken again read more

Yo-Yo Chicken is seriously one of those spots that just gets it. From the moment you walk in, you can smell how fresh everything is. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside -- not greasy at all. You can tell they actually care about consistency and quality. I ordered to go, and this is the part that impressed me most: by the time I got home and opened the bag, the food was still hot . Not "kind of warm" hot -- actually hot and fresh like it just came out of the kitchen. That alone says a lot about how they package and time their orders. Portion sizes were solid, flavors were on point, and everything tasted freshly made. This is definitely a go-to spot if you want good chicken without the wait or disappointment. This is a take out place and the food was prepared quickly and, which has become really important for take out orders, was accurate! The Smash burger was seasoned well with delicious melty gooey cheese and smashed just right. The tenders were colossal...definitely get your $$ worth. They were a little salty for me but we are in a heavily salted era so I'm sure others loved it. The waffle fries were a bit oily and could have done with more straining or something because they were missing that nice crisp French Fry crunch. Options for kids are really limited in Long Island after 10 PM. My daughter and her teammates wanted a snack after a game and we settled on Yoyo Chicken. To my delight, they also are a Dickey's BBQ Pit also! Ambience: this is like a takeout with 4 or 5 small tables. Most of their orders seem to be to go. Ehh not impressed. I was in the mood for wings and decided to give Yoyo Chicken a try. The store is small but was very clean. About 4 tables with chairs if you feel like staying. They have screens for menus but they keep changing with flashing effects so it's tough to read. The staff were friendly and professional. The cashier was very helpful. Making suggestions and going over the menu with me. The menu is on the lager side, lots of choices of the same thing. Sandwiches, wings, loaded fires and tots. Speciality drinks as well as a large list of shake. I ordered 10 wings sweet and spicy ((recommended by the cashier)) and a side of waffle fries. Came out to about $26. I waited about 20 minutes. The food was mid-tier. Can't complain but nothing to rave about. The wings were overcooked and way over breaded. They didn't toss the wings with enough sauce and they were on the dry side. Food was amazing!!! We got the burger slider and chicken slider with fries and a can soda. The chicken we got hot but wasn't crazy hot, they do have a level hotter if you like that. Cute little take out spot in a small strip mall. There was also a split sign that stated Dickeys BBQ Pit, however we only tried the Yo Yo's chicken. So I wanted to try something new and decided to goto YoYo chicken for the first time after seeing them on yelp. First thing I noticed when I walked in is how small the place is! They have about 5-6 tables inside, but not much walking space especially if there's a line. They didn't seem to have AC, only a fan so I was getting hot pretty quick. Wait time was about 15-20 mins, but the place seemed clean. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich, with large waffle fries. Their fries were really good! For the sandwich I did say no pickles and no slaw but I guess they forgot because it was on the sandwich anyway. But the flavor of the chicken sandwich was soo good that I'm not even mad about that! It tasted fresh, filling and worth the wait! Although it was a "spicy" chicken sandwich, I didn't taste any spice to it at all. Tasted more like a regular chicken sandwich rather than a spicy one. I was a bit hesitant at 1st since when we tried to call in an order, no one picked up. We decided to just go their and make an order, it took a while to come out but the food came out so fresh! We ordered a plain chicken sandwich, a mild chicken sandwich, and a smash burger with a side of waffle fries. The flavors are cooked within the batter of the chicken so it's not soggy. The chicken sandwiches were fantastic!! They have a kick to them, even the plain chicken. The waffle fries are seasoned as well. It's become a local favorite. We go at least once every 2-3 weeks. The parking is limited. Sometimes it's hard to backout from people parking behind your car to go pick up orders or at the smoke shop next door. I recommend parking in spaces away from directly in front of the restaurant and smoke up for convenience. read more

Got a few options to try them all out. They had issues getting the order from Uber. Chicken sandwich was good but fairly consistent with higher end options from fast food. The burgers had flavor but weren't as juicy as I hoped. Waffle fries do have some seasoning with a touch of a kick. Their branded sauce was flavorful but the cole slaw, standard on their sandwiches, was nothing to write home about. Very friendly staff, and reasonably priced given the special. If you're reading this consider it a sign to come and try this place out & make sure you come hungry. Chicken tenders are massive! I wouldn't even consider these tenders, more like full on chicken breasts. Everything was delicious and perfectly crispy. Yo yo sauce is a must, I dipped into my fiancés and wished I got my own. He said the chicken sandwich was the star of his meal, but that's not to say the smash burger wasn't worth noting as it was a better smash burger than places that specialize in them. Ordered a couple of smash burgers on UE and I was told be ready in 15 minutes. When I got there in 15 the guy said he is running late and needs 15 more minutes. I was ok with it so I waited. While I am there I see 2 guys milling around the place doing nothing while the guy cooking the burgers coming up to the counter to take more orders and they still doing nothing. The staff were very welcoming and the food was delicious. The space has a few tables and an order/pickup counter. Delivery is def most of their volume. I got a combo chix and burger sliders with fries, a mango tea and shake. Don't judge, it was a rough week. The chicken was the star, just a great sammie with a soft bun, unobtrusive slaw and a bigger than slider size crunchy white meat chicken. The burger is a french onion affair that's pretty good for the price. Fries were solid! The mango tea was highly recommended. The only disappointment was the oreo shake. I'm not sure if this place is new, but it's new to us and we love it! It also looks very clean in there, so clean it looks brand new which is why I think they are new in town. We found it on Uber eats when searching for dinner ideas and it was love at first bite. I ordered it without slaw bc I don't like slaw- but keep in mind the buns are not toasted if you're getting it delivered- could make the bread really soggy by the time you get it. Ordered via Uber eats and wish the fish sandwich had the option of no cheese. Didn't know it came with cheese-luckily, I was able to peel it off in one piece. Had a buy one get one deal and toasted the chicken sandwich the next day and it was just as good as it was fresh-(actually liked it a little better bc the bun was toasted).
