This is the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. It is crispier than Popeyes, and more flavorful. This is so crispy. I ordered the lowest level of spice, and the chicken doesn't need any spice or sauce. It could be perfect on its own...however the sauce is spot on. Creamy and a little bit sweet. The bun is the right size to fit the sandwich without being overbearing. The people that work there are real nice. There is a free parking lot outside. I took my order to go but there is a nice cool space to eat with clean tables and a chill atmosphere. The prices are super reasonable. One cheeseburger, one fried chicken sandwich and fries for around $20. I will go back. read more

My husband and I walked in mostly for nostalgia of The Red Store that was previously in this building and for a quick bite. We were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful everything was! the food and service was amazing and The inside has been completely renovated and the ambiance is peaceful and clean. My husband got Chicken Over Rice Halal and I got a single Smash Burger with fries. The fries are worth the add on-So flavorful and crispy. Everything was incredible and we highly recommend Sizzlings! We've now found a regular spot for lunch when we're in Oceanside. :) read more

One of my friends said I HAD to try their chicken sandwich because it was the best she'd ever had... Well, she was right! Thankfully I was passing by and needed to get lunch with my family. We ordered the 2 chicken sandwich meal and chicken and rice platter. They kindly obliged with my request for the sauce, coleslaw and pickles on the side. The coleslaw was creamy and perfect with the dill pickle rounds. That chicken though... JUICY! I typically don't get fried chicken sandwiches, but this was a must try for me. The fries were super crispy and flavorful, reminded me of Burger King fries when they added the extra coating... and with their house sauce, chef's kiss! They have a spicy scale to which you can customize your chicken, we got a mild and medium and both were really good but the medium gave it that extra kick! The staff were super friendly and even gave me extra pickles. The place isn't big, but with 3 tables to choose from, it's a perfect lunch or takeout spot. People in the Oceanside Facebook groups were raving about this place. I'm extremely disappointed. 1. I ordered the 2 chicken tenders with fries and they gave me the Nashville hot chicken loaded fries instead. 2. The smash burger isn't a real smash burger. Missing the crisp. 3. Zero pistachio flavor in the pistachio pudding. It's a cup of whipped cream with some cake pieces. If you've ever had real Nashville fried chicken, this isn't it. I understand, they're a new business and need to get it all figured out, but messing up the order isn't a good start. The pros: Chicken is fresh, not frozen. Prices are good. My husband picked up our order of chicken over rice and the chicken with tender and fries. The sandwich and tenders were on point. Spicy but still juicy as were the tenders. We did not enjoy the chicken over rice as much but that's because we are used to the Shah's chicken over rice and prefer that over all others so far. Service at the store was impeccable. read more

I am a picky eater. And when food impresses me it says a lot. Me and my husband absolutely love coming here. We make the 40mim drive once in a while because it's that good. Such polite staff. I usually get the Nashville chicken combo #3. The sandwiches are so big you get a good size chicken breast the buns are golden and the chicken is so flavorful excellent when paired with the sauce. The fries are also so delicious. I also really enjoy the banana pudding it doesn't taste artificial taste is excellent. It's so good the best I've had. And the Belgian waffle is the best. The waffle doesn't make you feel gross it's not overly sweet which is great. Since it's paired with the chocolate and ice cream and it all goes so well together taste amazing.
