The Food was flavorful. Portions were good and reasonably priced. The establishment itself was very clean and the restroom aswell. The owner was very nice and helpful made ordering very easy. The Mediterranean Chicken Bowl was a very big portion I definitely have plenty left over for lunch I added Avocado and for the base I did half quinoa and half basmati rice. The Wild Bills sodas were pretty tasty, very sweet but it has real sugar once in a blue moon doesn't hurt. We tried the Rootbeer flavor, black cherry and a orange creme. Austin Kitchen is getting lots of favorable comments from visitors, so I went to try it. It is more of a take out place with several tables. However, it is too cold in there to eat, so I took my food out. Everyone was very nice. The place was clean. Service was at the counter. You look over the menu and order. The menus are online, you can also scan a code or read it up on a big blackboard. There are a lot of choices. Many sound good. One of the favorites that I heard about was the Kalbi pork sandwich. So I ordered that. It was a very wet sandwich and was very difficult to eat without incurring a large dry cleaning bill! So the bread wasn't supportive of the sandwich contents. It needs firmer bed with a crust. The sauce on the sandwich tasted more like barbecue sauce, nothing like Korean Kalbi you can get in Flushing or in Koreatown. Also, the pork was in several big clumps. It wasn't one piece, or cut up pieces. I really didn't love the sandwich, but I got the drift of the creative intentions and thought that went into making it. While I didn't love my food, when it's warnmer out, and I can eat inside at a table, I think that I'd like to go back and try it again. I just finished eating my meal from here and holyyyyy 10/10. I expected it to be good from what I've heard but this was insane. Had the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich it's easily in my top 3 chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Toast that bun more or get a thicker one and it'd literally be perfect. So so so good that sauce tho!! I ordered from their website and it was easy with lots of different ways I could customize my order. Through the website they use doordash which is slightly surprising since on our area Uber east and grub hub are prevalent. Well my order never came. I left detailed instructions. I didn't get a call , txt. I called Austin kitchen they apologized and said they had been having some issues w doordash which is not surprising to me. They re-made my order , the owner Jason delivered it himself. Super quick. My dinner which is a Cobb salad w no egg , no avocados , but w roast chicken , black beans , corn , tortilla strips and romaine , spicy dressing on the side was absolutely delicious. Their menu is different and looks fabulous. I will 100% order from here again and I'll try a variety of items. My girlfriend will be excited as well to try it. FOOD POISON TWICE! Me and my wife used to order from here regularly when they first opened. At first the food was great, nothing to complain about. As they got busier we started to notice the food quality dropping. Two times after we ate the chicken immediately after we both got super sick and had food poisoning. Quality fresh food that's real food. So many places in the surrounding area are typical "bar" food, nothing special and always a higher price tag - it's been so frustrating trying to find great quality comfort food (or a solid fresh salad). My takeout from Austin kitchen was so fresh and tasted like thought and care went into making it.
