It was literally out-sizing the buns which I was pleased, of course. MisterBabe and I attended this establishment and after looking at the spicy chicken sandwich displayed , I asked the manager "are you better than Popeyes" in which he brazenly stated , "Yes we are". ((((CHALLENGE ACCEPTED)))) So I ordered 2 #6 and took an order of cole slaw for myself and fries for my sidekick. After looking at the coleslaw (it was abit more processed than I hoped) I kindly exchanged it for some fries...I'm picky so sue me! I took to the soda fountain and made myself some iced tea soda (figure it out) and it unsurprisingly tasted awesome. Unfortunately , Coca Cola did not do their usual carbonation calibration of their soda fountain , it lacked the fizz. But the save came with an extensive assortment of condiments ! We did the spicy mustard ketchup hot sauce combo and made out not so secret sauce. Question : am I wrong to pour ketchup all over my fries and not in the corner? I was told people who have mental disorders do such things but then again, memes are memes. So did it match Popeyes ? I'll say , mmmm it's in a class of its own. Pickles would have really jazzed it up but the lettuce and tomatoes are a luxury being that produce prices have risen so I'll give them that. The staff was friendly and while MisterBabe and I were discussing different types of mysterious stairs going nowhere found in the woods (Google it , it's a crazy and creepy rabbit hole you'll either thank or hate me for later), the topic was changed almost immediately for fear of the boogeyman. We finished our Sammiches and I would say there was an air of satisfaction. Although they almost lost a star for the lack of potent carbonation in their soda fountain, the save came when they offered cans and a boat load of condiments. It's a great sandwich by itself, skip the combo, buy 2 to go, bring it home and make your own fries and a bottle of Mexican cola, you are solid (also a plate of celery and carrot sticks are great for "regularity" , which was stressed to the TC&B staff. I came for the burger and only the burger. I've passed this place many times and didn't realize…read morethey were halal so I had to see if their burgers were as good as the best that I've tried (for a halal burger it was Affie's in Toronto, hands down the best)...but still, the smash burger scene is another genre of burgers that doesn't get enough attention in the halal scene. In the mainstream, smash burgers are the shi-, and look as decadent as they taste. So when you're naming your place Smash Bros. (Or smash anything) it will have to stand up to the scrutiny I am going to give it. I'll give them 4 stars for the support for small halal businesses but not without some harsh critique. Upon entering the place it reminded me of a rest stop somewhere that people don't really stop at so when I guessed their soda fountain wasn't working before I asked, I was right. Next was the explanation of the menu. 2 burger choices , one with spicy sauce and the other with a normal sauce . I assumed I was getting lettuce and tomatoes with that but as the menu pointed out it was beef patty, cheese and grilled onions (remember, to assume makes an Ass of U and Me). It was made in a short period of time and being that I wanted a double Patty, the burger looked full and had some weight to it. The bun was pretty basic (potato bread bun) , 2 smashed Pattie's ,cheese and the hot sauce with pickles. As I bit in I realized , no lettuce and tomatoes...in which I found out afterwards that you had to ask for it because there are people who don't like tomatoes and/ or lettuce. I get it. But every burger comes w lettuce tomatoes , it's a basic inclusion. Isn't it? Overall the meat was good , abit chewy but cooked well, was not that seasoned (reminded me of Holy Cow o_O ). There's room for improvement though. I've made burgers before with frozen Patties and managed to get people to say it tastes like in and out so if I can put a basic burger together that good then Smash Bros, you need to up your burger game. $10 for a double patty on a potato bun? Wrinkled up at best , not even a round dome top bun? Do better. Oh yeah, did I already say the ambiance reminded me of a rest stop area ...yes I did. There's always room for improvement Smash Bros. I'll be back in a few weeks. And for those who want a basic burger, these guys are decent, not a place to pass up on but if you're a burger connoisseur ...good luck

Parking wasn't special, it's just up front and in. Inside the place is very clean. So clean in fact I thought it was closed and they cleaned for the morning. But it was just slow and someone popped up behind the counter to help. They were nice enough and took my order. I wanted to stay, it was way too far to drive back with food. So I got comfortable and ate. I noticed first no marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks. I do go without it sometimes, but the cheese wasn't melted so it was pretty thick and dry, next I tried the fries. They were probably the only good thing I tried at the restaurant. Last was the burger. It was pretty meaty. However, it tasted like a freezer burger without seasoning. If it wasn't for the toppings, it wouldn't worth the hefty price for everything. If I did go back, which I probably won't, I would only get the fries. I just hope, they give me ketchup this time around.

I get a bacon cheeseburger with the lettuce, tomato, and red onion. I'm a big fan of the fries there, and sometimes I switch it up and get the Cajun fries too. On top of the excellent burgers, the service is great from a very friendly staff. It's a small local business, and you feel like you're part of the community when you're in there hanging out with them. I love the decorations and the overall visual aesthetic of the place. I no longer live on Long Island, and miss my weekly visits to American Burgers
