The owner of this spot is a real nice guy and he seems to work very hard. That said, I feel a little sad to report that the food is not great and I don't recommend it. I had been craving chicken and waffles for a couple of days, and thought it was perfect when I stumbled on this place. But the waffle was lacking any flavor and not even crispy. Likewise, the chicken was very hot, which is good, but just pretty greasy and not at all crunchy, which you would expect. Saddest part of this nice, plentiful meal that was offered is that the fries that were included, while crinkle, were not Nathan's fries. If you're at a place that sells chicken and Nathan's, why not Nathan's fries. Is there some kind of contractual issue with giving me Nathan's fries with my chicken? I want to give negative 101k stars! Every other order from this place is always messed up. I REPEAT. EVERY OTHER ORDER GETS MESSED UP. While recuperating from shoulder surgery and unable to drive, I placed an order for fried chicken to feed my youngest. We've had fried chicken from them before and it was good. Delicious, in fact. Enough to make me want to order again. What arrived was an extremely salty bucket of chicken thighs. I called them and told them what happened, and they told me to bring it back to them and they will give me a new one for ONLY the ones that have not been bitten into. They will not replace the one that I bit into. How else would I have known how salty it was?!? UGH! Why would I order delivery if I could drive? It is a 2-minute drive from my place to theirs. They eventually sent me another order but to punish me, they made me wait 45 min. What arrived was a box of GREY FRIED CHICKEN THAT WAS SALTIER THAN THE LAST. So, the result was me not ordering from them for 2 years. When I noticed the addition of Nathan's to their name, I assumed that there were new owners or a change in management. I decided to surprise my eldest who was supposed to be on a road trip to Philly with his dad and younger brother. Since the trip did not happen, as a joke, I decided to buy him a New York Cheesesteak. He said it wasn't bad, so I thought that they did have a new owner. Boy was I wrong! Today I ordered: 2 bacon cheese dogs with ketchup, mustard, sauerkraut, and cooked onions on the side @ $11.98; 9 pcs hot dog nuggets @ $9.49; 3 fried chicken thighs @ $7.17. They had a sign "Make any item a large combo $5.99 more." So... I ordered 1 of the bacon cheese dogs as a large combo and understandably so, they charged extra because my sons wanted Bacon Ranch fries. I paid $7.45 for the large combo. An extra order of large Bacon Ranch Fries was $6.29. With the addition of a credit card fee, I paid $47.65. I wanted to open the bag to make sure I got everything I asked for. The older gentleman who delivers the orders and quite possibly be the owner's dad told me not to worry. "If something's missing then just come back and we'll give it to you." I said, "but I don't want to come back." So, he said, "then I will drive it to you." I hoped that there would be no reason to call. However, they did get the last order right, so this one was bound to have something wrong with it. The first listed item charged on my card were 2 BACON CHEESE DOGS. They missed the first 2 ingredients listed on my check that was stapled to the bag the order was placed in. The same first 2 of 3 ingredients that are listed on their menu. COME ON! BACON. CHEESE. DOG. I am impressed they did not forget the unmentioned bun! So, I called. After a 2-3-minute hold, I spoke with the young man who took my order. He said he would tell his manager. I asked him "what's there to tell? You have to correct your mistake." He said that is why he had to tell him so that he could do something about it. Then he came back on the phone and said "my manager said that he will send the bacon cheese dogs and just give them back the other hot dogs. I informed him that one of them was already gone as it was my older son's first meal and he waited a while for it. The other was half eaten. Then he said the manager will send the bacon and the cheese. I told him that he needed to give me what I ordered. He said he would have to charge me for the 2 plain dogs. I laughed then got angry. What?!?! He said he will talk to the owner. (I think he is the owner.) He said that the owner told him that they do not give away free food. FREE FOOD! We are talking about their 2 small wieners. (Sorry, couldn't help it. Too easy and probably true.) They want to charge me $4.59 each for the mistaken order. Other places would absorb that charge so that the customer is appeased and will come back. Oh no! NOT CHICKEN CARNIVAL! They are NOT willing to absorb the cost of 2 dogs so that the customer stays a repeat customer. So, I had them deliver the BACON and the CHEESE. I let them waste their time and gas money so that I can throw away the 2 missing items that were no longer needed. Idiots. I taught my kids to never call people names but instead comment on their actions. However, I am sorry to stray from my teaching because they truly are idiots doing idiotic things! The manager, aka Idiot in Charge was the one who prepared and bagged my order. After all these years, he still cannot put together an accurate order, or at least not in my case. Every other order is a terrible experience. I have spent more than $100 in less than a week. For two hot dogs, they lost my business. I was duped by the addition of Nathan's and believed it is a new business owner with better business ethics. Lesson learned. Never again. It is appropriate that they call their business Chicken Carnival because it is owned & run by a clown! read more

I placed a large order for nine family members on a busy Saturday night. It was ready in 20 minutes. Chicken - fried and grilled. Ribs. Fried shrimp. Sides - Mac and cheese, potatoes, slaw, Mac salad, stuffing. Everything - and I mean everything - was delicious. All nine family members thoroughly enjoyed their dinners. My daughter has never commented on potatoes in her life. She remarked by how good the herb roasted potatoes were. The grilled chicken was so juicy and flavorful. Their ribs are so so good. And the prices are cheap for what you get. Inflation hasn't hit Chicken Carnival. I live in New Jersey, but try to order from here every time I visit family. Thanks for a delicious dinner! read more

Folks let me tell you. They have the best fast food fried chicken. I bought a 12pc meal deal that included their Nathan's famous French fries and a side salad. My wife chose the coleslaw and commented she's never had better. Everything was amazing! They will now be on my takeout food rotation. I recommend you give them a try. So the food from here has become inedible. Been ordering from here for years and it's on a steady decline and now at a point when the food is simply BAD. If you order just chicken, you're on the safer side. Anything else that comes from here is less food-like than you can imagine. The chicken in the salads is inedible. The pita bread is so stale that its like cardboard, beyond inedible. The fries are soggy. The blue cheese is drippy. The cole slaw is sour. The price is high and the wait is long. I tried a chicken sandwich the first time, then, weeks later, tried the sirloin special (basically, a hamburger with trimmings for $4). Both tasted like warmed-over, flavorless, frozen, patties. We had Chicken Carnival cater a Sunday "dinner" for 23 this past weekend. They did an amazing job! We ordered grilled, BBQ and fried chicken and all evaporated. The waffle fries were typically amazing. The mac 'n cheese (which we thought would only be eaten by the children) was enjoyed by all. Even the tiny cornbread loafs were great. The biggest surprise though were the ribs. They were an after-thought, but they were a huge hit. Everything was delivered HOT and exactly as ordered. They even helped picking the menu and quantities. What a disappointment! I've been going to this place for a couple of months and every time I have went the food and service has gotten worse and worse. Starting with the wait, I ordered a single Carnival Chicken Sandwich for $8, THAT'S IT! It took 25 minutes (not exaggerating!) for my food, when the place was completely empty on a Monday afternoon. I got my food and went to my car, and WOW, I've never had something as salty as that Carnival Chicken Sandwich (I had goosebumps from the ridiculous amount of salt). Might as well put a pound salt between 2 slices of bread and save yourself $8. I had never eaten here but a few coworkers had, and claimed it was decent. I was in the mood for a new place so we ordered office lunch, basically as soon as the place opened. I had the rockstar burger (jalapeños, jack cheese, guacamole plus all the fixings) and my friend ordered the burger with the fried egg on top. While the burgers were delicious, flavorful and huge (need a fork and knife), the real star of the show was the fried chicken. I love fried chicken but I almost never eat the skin; too greasy, too fatty, too bland. Their skin was crispy and not greasy (although it was a little salty... still I enjoyed it) and the meat was tender and juicy. I didn't pick up the food so I don't have any pictures and the food was so good we finished it before we could take any photos. Maybe the chicken was so fresh because we ordered basically as soon as they opened, but it really was good! Came for the burgers (and again, the burgers are GREAT) but stayed for the chicken. Chicken is good, people were friendly enough for a take out place. However, their prices are not updated on their website and in store. Even though most prices were raised by $1.00, the only place that is shown is on their printed menus that you get when you pick up your food. First time ordering takeout today. I ordered the 8 piece fried chicken bucket and I was very happy that I could specify only legs and breasts without an additional charge. I had the legs and they were very good and my boyfriend had the breast and he loved them and said they were very juicy. The sides we had were French French fries, Mac and cheese and potato salad. My favorites were the potato salad and fries. For all of this with leftovers for lunch tomorrow it was a very reasonably priced meal. This place has been mailing out flyers to me for years, and as I am on the mend from illness I wanted some food delivered. So our first experience with CC had mixed results. Here's the dilly-yo. We ordered 12 pieces of chicken 6 BBQ and 6 Grilled, mashed potatoes, rice pilaf and rolls. (you get a choice of 3 sides & cornbread or rolls) I don't quite understand why any veggies are offered in the combo meals,all the "sides" are basically different starches. Either mashed potatoes, french fries.... etc. You can get a salad but they charge extra? seems silly. Wish they offered some greens. The BBQ chicken was delicious. Arrived in a foil lined bag tossed in a tangy sauce but not dripping wet. Nicely coated. Cooked well and fall off the bone. The Grilled chicken was ok. Basically its the same chicken as above minus the sauce. Unfortunately this bag of bird parts was dry. (no sauce to keep moist obviously) Next time we'd just get the BBQ one. Would also like to try the ribs. The Mashed Taters were lousy, I think powdered. The Rice Pilaf tasted like rice-a-roni chicken flavor. The rolls, pretty sure they're Kings Hawaiian (not such a bad thing). Quick 30 minute Delivery and reasonable pricing means I will be a repeat customer with better Idea of what to order next go around. read more

Mac and cheese great and the french fries were fresh and perfect. I'd give them 5 stars but they are not set up to give you a proper ETA on deleivery time. They were an hour later than the time that popped up on the web page when I ordered. When I called they were pretty much "bare with us, we're really busy now." In my opinion the best fried chicken. Expansive menu...all well done. I'd give it 5 except for the soggy fries.

First off : Great Food. Be aware my experience is with TAKE OUT not DELIVERY. The fried chicken is well cooked and crispy. It's definitely a top reason to come back. There burgers are great for me medium rare. The Sirloin 1/2lb burgers are great including the specialty wrangler burger. Nothing dry about them. Adding the $2.99 Onion rings,fry platter, Coleslaw go well with any sandwich. CHICKEN DINNER(4pc) FOR 10.99 with a side and dinner roles is worth the price. Friendly people there and great food at the end of the day. Lots of positives in my experience. If you like chicken and burgers go here. Ribs were tough and sauce was not great. The mac and cheese was not good. My daughters chicken caesar salad was terrible....she gets them literally everywhere and this was her least favorite.
