The team members Cruz, Paula, Mary, and Amy are always so kind. Very friendly, remembers their customers, even the food they would buy. I always come here with my siblings and either dine in, drive thru, carry out. Paula has always helped and assisted with every discomfort we had there. Thanks you guys from the family of Tran. - Daniel Tran read more

Service was slow, they ignored the line waiting. And looked at customers rather then help with their requests. Most just walked out...

Today we were in the area and stopped in for the 8 piece family platter! Yummy! It includes 4 pieces of chicken and 4 fish, 8 hush puppies, and two large sides! We picked the coleslaw and mashed potatoes with gravy. The perfect amount of food and it was so fresh and delicious. There were some burnt flakes on our chicken pieces but that did not effect the flavor. We love coming here when we are in the area! Highly recommend! read more

Ordered online at KFC.com for delivery which they use Doordash. Did not get all my items, so I called them and told me I had to call Doordash. Not true as I ordered on their website, not on Doordash. Was very rude when I called. The items I did get, chicken was ok, pretty standard. Biscuits were crunchy. Never had a crunchy biscuit before. The chicken nuggets, if they can even be called that as they looked more like popcorn shrimp size. Plus never got a refund for the 2 missing sandwiches. We will never go there again. This was the KFC in Downers Grove on 75th street. Buyers beware. read more

They gave me the tiniest chicken they possibly could. I drove a half hour because Yelp says this location takes EBT and I have used my EBT card here before, however the manager on duty would not let me use my card. The manager herself was very rude and you could tell she wasn't happy with me ordering. Pretty upsetting that I wasn't allowed to use my EBT card and I was given the smallest pieces they had. read more

KFC - Fast Food Near Me - Downers Grove, Illinois

After waiting around 30 minutes for "fresh" food I was served raw, frozen chicken. Staff didn't seem to care and only gave partial money back. Nice to know they care about the health of their costumers. Looking at other reviews this seems to be a trend at this location. Double check before eating any of their food. read more

When did LJS stop giving out extra crumbs? The guy at the drive through just told me that they don't give out extra crumbs anymore. Is that the truth or was he lying? read more

Have ordered here occasionally for many years. Today is probably the last. the crispy chicken and biscuits were fine, but the Mac and cheese was not great and the cole slaw was bad. They both had a taste that was not normal, we ended up throwing them out. I wish I could place the flavor, but whatever it is, I cant , except it's bad. read more

The staff was extremely efficient and friendly. My order was rung up quickly and the chicken came out fast but my complaint is that the pieces of chicken were extremely small. Obviously this is a corporate problem, since the frozen chicken (size and weight) delivered to the store is a corporation contract decision. They cook what they get. Sadly, I've gotten bigger pieces of chicken at Jewel. read more

I've been to many KFC's and this is by far the best one! I read the recent reviews but they're all old, third time coming here and still 100%. read more

I've always loved the original recipe. The last time I ordered it I got extra crispy, which has less flavor and more calories is . looking at their ads. They apparently don't have the original recipe anymore but they didn't have the brains to tell me that they didn't have it and just gave me extra crispy, no more Kentucky fried chicken for me again! read more

Like many others I'd give no stars. I'm a local and order from here often over the years but I'm done. Last year or more whenever I get Original Recipe either the chicken is over cooked or it's dried out from sitting too long. I'm not sure which. Tonight was the last straw. It was so hard and tough. What's the point in those 11 herbs and spices if you can't taste anything and it's as hard as dried out leather. KFC used to be good. read more

Shame they don't allow zero star review on yelp. Been waiting outside for 25+ minutes on my order - finally went in to see what was going on and they hadn't put my order in until 5 minutes ago. Hate to do it during COVID but they've earned their 1-star. Should have gone to a local restaurant - it's my own fault. read more

This place is the worst. Apparently good food service in Downers grove is impossible to come by. I went through the drive through, they told me to pull around and wait in the parking lot for like 10 MINUTES and I'm watching all these other people get their food. Then they bring my meal out with the wrong stuff in it. How hard is it to get some chicken around here. Avoid this KFC. read more

The worst. This is the second time I've gone to KFC and received the incorrect order. Partially my fault for not looking at the order when it was given to me but this time I was the only one in the drive through. I stopped there on my way to work. Once I arrived to work,I had some time before having to report on the treatment floor, so I sat down to eat my lunch/dinner. I order a 2 piece dark with slaw and a drink. The only thing I received correctly is the drink and a cookie. I was given a box of hard chicken strips and cold potato wedges. I'm very disappointed because now when I call to report my wrong order, the phone just rings until I finally get a busy signal. I wish there was a Popeyes on my way to work. read more

Stopped and ordered the new Chicken Sandwich today. Delicious. I do want to point out that the service and friendliness of the support staff was GREAT. Nice job read more

We normally love KFC and LJS, but this has to be one of the worst run locations I've ever seen. To start, there was a long line of angry people waiting for or returning their food because of mistakes with their orders. That should have been our first clue to go somewhere else. However we stayed and had a very awkward ordering experience with the young man at the counter. He made statements sound like questions and couldn't quite grasp the concept of their menu. We were told numerous times that they don't serve items that are clearly on the menu. After each instance, we requested he ask someone else and they confirmed that yes, they do serve corn.... After completing our order and repeating it to us, we are then served the wrong items in which we ordered. I show my receipt to the young lady and she said, "So what, do you want to return this food or something?" When i told her that "Yes, I'd like the food that we ordered," she huffed and puffed like it was some big inconvenience for her. Look honey, I'm sure you're pissed that you're not home watching Nashville, but it'll be ok, you can watch it on the dvr after your shift. Usually there's one or two things that happen when you eat out from time to time, but people in the back not prepping food, the length of time it took to get the wrong order, the time it took to correct our order, the attitude by the handlers, the lack of supplies in the dining room (we had to go up to the counter to request, utensils, straws, napkins, ketchup, hot sauce, and honey) because none of these items were available in the dining area of this restaurant made it too much to bear. I know the service industry is tough, and I can look past A LOT of things that happen, if the situation is handled properly. A simple, "i'm sorry for the wait" goes a long way. However, there was no apologies, just disgusted sounds and poor attitudes. I repeat, we really do enjoy KFC and LJS, but this location is enough to make you want to eat at Arby's..... read more

Yuck with a Capital Y!!! Order long john silvers chicken and fish platter. Chicken was different shades of tan and was not fresh. Fries not fresh. Cole slaw wayyyy too crunchy with no juice. Even the hush puppies weren't all the way done. The LJS in Aurora was much better, but they recently closed. This one is next. No wonder fast food joints like this place are closing by the hundreds in Chicago and beyond. Because we're no longer tolerating crap food. read more

One of the better experiences I've had at this KFC location. I keep coming back and finally got good service and food. I would not recommend this location because the other times I've been here it's been either bad food or service. Your taking a risk at this location, today it payed off for me. read more

The rudest drive thru staff I've ever encountered. The drive thru guy talks like he wants to fist fight you.

Oops, I accidentally gave it one star. It should be zero... or negative zero. So here we are 5 years since I last reviewed this kfc/long john silvers in downers grove. It hasn't gotten better. I've come here with people from work and they've gone on about how bad the service is and how their orders were wrong. Today my wife went there and picked up lunch. God bless her. She always likes to give another shot. Such a kind heart. But it was all in vain. She was in the drive thru for over 15 minutes. And finally went in after she got her sodas that were only half full. Upon opening our bags at home, we found were we're missing side orders. We did have extra chicken, which was a plus. And all the sodas were regular coke (flat!). I drink diet as I am diabetic. I called. Was put on "hold" for over 20 minutes. (They actually just put the phone on the counter.) She is now done with them. Her kind heart turned to stone as fast as you can say "where's my cole slaw". Stay away from the kfc/long john silvers on 75th street in downers grove. They'll get you! read more

This place is horrible. Ordered from here 2x. Missing items. Never straws with the drinks. Drinks missing as well. Each time i ordered. Was 30min late.. Not worth the price. Service charge is rediculous. And an insult. Felt bent over and given the good one. Will not order here. Nor have anything delivered off yelp. Way way way too expensive with all the charges read more

Horrible service for food that is at best okay. My mom and I waited 25 minutes for a pot pie, which they estimated would only take 10-15. We finally walked into the building, we had ordered in the drive through and were waiting in the parking lot, and got our food. However, when we got home we discovered they HADN'T EVEN GIVEN US A POTPIE! We waited all that time for absolutely nothing. Instead of a potpie, they had given us one of their chicken bowls. We called the store and didn't get an answer, so we called corporate. They apologized and told us a 5 dollar gift voucher would be delivered by mail. Said voucher didn't come until about three weeks afterward, we just received it. We will not come back, they were definitely not efficient for a fast food place. read more

The staff were pleasant enough, which is why they get a star at all. When fried chicken is your primary dish, you need to be able to make chicken that doesn't taste disgusting. It was clumpy, like it had been breaded incorrectly or made in oil that wasn't set at the right temperature. When my dog turns up her nose at your food, you've got a long way to go to meet franchise standards. Luckily there is a Popeye's nearby, and a dumpster to toss this meal into. Gross chicken, avoid. read more

Very rude woman taking the order, sounded like she had better things to do. Rushed me through my order even though I was the only one in line, the guy who took my card was nice, but the same lady that took my order yelled at him while I was waiting for my card back. As he handed me back the card she yelled from behind him that I'd have to pull around into the parking lot, 10 minutes later I got my food...I'll be picking another kfc or better yet probably just go to Popeyes read more

Went out tonight to order through the drive through only to be treated by some rude lady with music glaring in the background. Now I listen to hip hop myself and I don't mind it but that's very unprofessional if you're to have a clear conversation with your customer... Anyways... I place my order and get rude responses. Then this person assumes I want the mashed potatoes and come slaw which I ask can I get different sides? She then goes "get whatever you want ". I just wanted Mac and cheese instead of the mashed potatoes but then get a response of "tch... That it?"... Okay yeah thanks ... I don't think I'll be going back here... Service was just complete garbage... read more

Do not go here, the food was awful. I ordered 3 pieces of white meat, extra crispy and received 2 normal size pieces that were totally soggy and one piece that I'm not sure what it was. It was the size of a chicken nugget. Why they even would give that out to a customer is absurd. The mashed potatoes tasted funny and the biscuit was super salty. I threw everything away along with my $14. Yuck!!!! read more

This place is great everyone is helpful and cheerful and speedy! Thanks for amazing service every time!

I ordered 12 Long John Silvers chicken planks, they only had 9 pre-cooked and asked if I'd like to wait the additional 5 minutes that was needed to cook them and I said, "Sure!". Got home and only had 11 planks and the 9 they originally had must've been put back into the fryer because they were super greasy, overcooked, and hard to bite into. I did not have the time to drive back and ask for them to remake so in the trash they went. IF I go there again I will make sure to ask them to make all 12 chicken planks fresh. read more

I'm here right now and waited for 6 minutes for anyone to come up to the front and acknowledged me. I saw about 6 people behind the serving station. People walked by and just seemed to ignore me. Not a great way to start the experience. Though while writing I was told they were going to drop fresh fish and chicken for me and it would take another five minutes. As I'm waiting the cashier was the only one taking orders and boxing people's food. What are the other 5 doing in the back. All the tables were dirty, I'm glad I'm taking this home. Not a very good representation of KFC or Long John Silvers. Too bad this is the only Long Johns around here. I hope my fresh food is good. How come they never give receipts and the bill always ends in .02 cents,or something similar. Hmmmmm Anyways,My friend wanted beer batter cod from here because they are also Long John Silvers. The cashier took her time to tell me that it's really nasty,I said O.K. Then she asked if I had a coupon or it wouldn't be the 5.99 price that the commercial has been advertising. I told her that I did not have a coupon.. She finally said " oh,I might have an extra coupon but you'd have to wait 7 minutes for the fish..... It seems as if she tried her best to not have to cook the fish. I'm not sure why. This location ALWAYS makes me upset. I only come here occasionally because it's on the way home from work and my boyfriend asks me to pick some up. Next time,I'll just find another location. read more

Just waited 15 minutes in line. Only 3 customers ahead of me. Placed my order for 16 pieces of extra crispy chicken to be told they don't have chicken, it will be a 20 minute wait. After some discussion we were told they would mix and match original and extra crispy. Got home and found they only gave us 12 pieces. Tried calling but telephone must be off the hook. (Total of 21 minutes in the store) Must say the lady that helped us was very unprofessional and rude. I guess it was our fault it was a holiday and they were under staffed. I asked if I could have some chicken tenders in a family meal 8pc. and the answer was "No, there are no substitutions". I then asked if I could have a different side in the meal box and the answer was "No, there are no substitutions". Really? I HAVE to eat mash potatoes and gravy? I was told I could buy tenders or different sides on their own. . . like she solved my problem for me. Now I know why I was the only person in the store at 5:30pm. I left and went to Popeye's. "Can I have tenders as part of the 8pc family meal?" "Sure, of course you can". Okay, here's the $25 I almost made the mistake of giving KFC. read more
