The restaurant table set up is kind of bizarre. Different sized tables in the middle of the room. The tables all advertise the business The food however, is pretty good. The order area is nice and the electric menu boards are easy to read. We ordered the 10 piece bone-in chicken wings, in buffalo sauce. We were hoping that they had blue cheese as a dipping sauce but they don't. So we picked the ranch dipping sauce and it was just OK. When I first saw the chicken wings I thought they were gonna be crispy, but they're actually not. They are very moist and cooked to perfection. We ordered cheese sticks and they were eight in the order and they were delicious. Nice and crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. We also ordered two of the bubble tea. I got the Taro milk tea and my husband got the banana milk tea. They both had the tapioca in them and were so delicious! Best I have had! Really cold and yummy! Picked up a double cheeseburger and small fries. Halfway through the sandwich i bit into something that I could not even chew. Seemed like a piece of plastic or gristle or something inedible. The fries were completely soggy. Just horrible. Threw both food items in the garbage. While waiting for my pickup order, I noticed many tables were covered with a plastic coating that had cracked or peeled partially off. I hope they take better care of their food preparation than the tables. And this has not changed since I first started coming to the restaurant about 2 months ago. I was going to see the Chicago Bears game today at 12 pm so I decided to get food from Mr. Broast today. I ordered 12 Sweet Honey Wings, 12 Mango Habanero Wings, and 3 Honey Biscuits everything is made fresh so it took 25 minutes for me to get my food via Drive Thru. I used to be a Mr. Broast fan and have visited their Aurora location numerous times until their quality of food diminished. I was in the area for Chi Tea but they were packed so my wife and I thought we will try Mr Broast since it's been such a long time, hoping that they have improved their food quality. I'm sorry to say that their food quality is still very poor. I ordered a zinger and the chicken piece was huge and tasted like plastic. The same taste I remember from the other location years ago. I ate a few of the fries that came with it and a few bites of the sandwich and had to throw the rest in the trash. I'm glad I did because the lil I ate gave me an upset stomach. Honestly, when I walked into this restaurant I expected it to be somewhat of a greasy spoon. Nothing can be further from the truth. I was shocked to find an INDIAN restaurant. Yes, the menu actually looks like a combo of Indian and American, but the decor and staff are full on Indian. Interesting. The menu is extensive and reasonably priced. I ordered the regular nachos and a Diet Pepsi and got both for $7. The nachos were HUGE. A TON of cheese (maybe even too much, but I know my husband would have loved it). I found Mr. Boast after picking up a DoorDash order from there one day and knew I wanted to come back. Well I went and ordered the 4 pc hot honey chicken and was not pleased. It took 20 minutes which is good cause it means they cook the food to order, but it did not hit like I thought it would. The flavor was okay, but for fried chicken there was no crispiness to it same thing with the limp fries. I put both in the air fryer when I got home just to give it a little crunch. So probably would skip if I was rushing for lunch. Dining experience feels separate. They need to just knock down the wall or remodel the whole thing to make it feel like one place and not two. So Mr. Broast has been in the Lombard area for only a couple of years but from what I've seen driving by, they do get a decent amount of traffic passing through there. This makes one assume that their food must be fire But honestly... ...ehhh, this place is kinda hit-or-miss. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying their food is bad because their Gyro Burger was absolutely fantastic. I prefer a medium rare burger patty, they cooked mine well-done ...but the Gyro meat stacked atop was of generous proportion and was seasoned to perfection. In addition it comes accompanied with an order of seasoned fries that aren't too bad either. I don't know what they season their Gyro with but it is delicious to the last bite. So it was a decent experience. Decent enough, I decided to drive-thru the next night and try the chicken. So I ordered a 2-piece combo (breast and wing) again, came with the same flavorful seasoned fries but unfortunately that was probably the best part of the meal. That chicken was kickin' After a few bites, whatever they season the skin with caught up to me. My lips were tingling and I was sweating bullets. Nowhere on the menu did they mention that their chicken was hot or spicy. That kinda ruined it for me. Plus the chicken was kinda dry in general. So this was disappointing. Outside of that, the only other thing I didn't like was the wait time. Both times I ordered through the drive-thru and they immediately park you into one of their many "designated parking spaces" so they can run the order out to you. As much as I love their chicken zinger sandwich it was time to try something different. I ordered the 4 piece chicken meal for $7.99. This meal comes with fries and pop (I don't drink pop). It took 25 minutes from the time I ordered the chicken until it was set in front of me. If your in a rush or have a limited time it would be a good idea to call in advance as everything is cooked fresh to order. The four piece is basically 1/2 chicken, 1 breast, 1 wing, 1 thigh and 1 leg. Both the chicken & fries come out piping hot straight from the fryer. The chicken is very good, but a little bland. The fries were very hot and very crispy. You have an option of 1 of 4 sauces. It's either hot sauce, Bbque sauce, ranch dressing or mayo.
