Drove by this place last weekend and made it a point to stop by and try out their fried chicken…read more Major Joy blends everyone's favourite comfort food with dry rubs and sauces that can take your craving to the next level. With flavours like tandoori, lemon pepper, and major hot... it was difficult to decide which flavours I would try in my four piece meal. I ultimately chose the original flavour to get a sense of what the chicken tastes like and a couple pieces of tandoori, cuz I friggin' love tandoori. The chicken itself was moist and flavourful. The pieces weren't very big, but acceptable in size. The original batter was crunchy, but definitely could use something else to make it better. That's where the dry rub of tandoori seasoning came in. The mix of spices went really well with the crunch of the batter and juicy chicken. Conclusion? You don't have to go with the big chains for some decent fried chicken in Surrey. Major Joy is a legit option and I'm going to have to try their butter chicken poutine and chicken sandwiches next time!

Turns out this restaurant has been open for a month. The place has been renovated as best as they could. It is a family owned business. The chicken meals costs a bit more than its predecessor. It costed $10 and change for a 3 piece meal. We stopped by when the restaurant just opened so we were able to snack on some really freshly fried chicken. The chicken was perfectly cooked - moist and juicy meat underneath a layer of thin and crispy skin. The batter is light unlike KFC's version. Service was good that even the cook came out to inform us the food would arrive shortly. Only complaint is that I missed the old prices of King's Chicken.

When I first got in, the place was empty except for one other person who was waiting in line. I glanced at the illuminated menu board and found it confusing compared to other fast food places I'd been to. I came in for a bean burrito. I left with heartburn and 8 dollars out of my wallet. The burrito was cold and liquid-y, the fries in the combo were cold and the ketchup out of the package tasted burnt. How could that be? I had two sips of my drink --that was sugar and fizz. No wonder the place was empty! Nobody wants a bad experience with fast food. I normally don't eat fast food and I'll have a really hard time going back!
