I cannot recommend this business enough. I needed to copy keys and called Keyway quite randomly. They suggested the easiest and cheapiest way to get it done would be to visit their store in Alexandria, but did offer to come to me. I'm in the neighborhood, so I popped in five minutes later. I was referred to this locksmith by a dealership. So I thought Keyway Lock Service would be a good company. At first, everything was fine. I got a decent quote, and next day service to my home. I was told the locksmith would arrive between 2-5pm. So I waited. And waited. And waited... After 5pm I called their office, asking if the locksmith was still coming. I was told he called me, but didn't get an answer. SO HE DIDN'T COME. I couldn't believe it. I didn't hear a call and said so (plus, I was waiting for a knock at my door, not a call). Sure enough, I found he did call at 4:26pm. Around the time I went to the bathroom. No voicemail. When I told the person who answered and said I stayed 3 hrs waiting for a locksmith, I didn't get any sympathy. Just would I like to reschedule.... Obviously, this company must be doing well. Well enough not to think about their customers and THEIR time. Losing business from me won't even register for them I know. But I'd rather flush my money down a toilet than give it to a service provider who doesn't factor the customer in it's service. read more

Giving 1 star since I can't give 0 stars. My truck ignition cylinder was going bad. It stalled out on me at a supermarket. I couldn't turn the ignition, or run the heat in 40 degree weather. A body mechanic recommended these folks. Ughh... I called at 1pm and explained the situation. The lady helping me didn't seem to care or was particularly interested in my situation. She said they could come between 2-5. I asked her if they could come quicker than five since I was sitting in the cold parking lot. I'll she said was "2 to 5 we don't do emergencies." Super apathetic. I told her that I felt she was being very unhelpful and snide, and I asked to speak with a manager. She told me she was the manager!!! I'm cry. This chick is the manager? Oh my gawd.... I asked to speak with the owner. She said she wouldn't transfer me to the owner unless I gave her my registration number and VIN. Kick rocks , Keyway. By the way, Baldino's in Alexandria (Duke Street, ask for Chris) helped me diagnose the problem and I was able to start the car with the help over the phone. I still need to replace the ignition, but they helped me in a pinch. read more
