We contemplated going out there, but it was cold, so I wanted to stay inside. Cocktails here are good. Spirits pricing is about the same as home. Allt he drinks were nicely balanced, not too sweet. The manhattan was nice and spirit forward, the espresso martini wasn't too sweet, and mule refreshing and tart. I enjoyed them all. A cozy spot to grab some drinks. I've had this place bookmarked on my Yelp for awhile now and finally made some time to swing by today since I had the day off. This bar has a really cool, dark, and moody ambiance that sets the tone for a laid-back night out. Decor was cute and unique. Records displayed on one wall to the right of the bar. The bartop is lined with tons of gold keys, which adds a fun touch. We originally sat in a booth near the bar but ended up grabbing seats by the fire when 2 customers left, which made it such a cozy spot to hang out. The drinks were refreshing and well made. There's a very small happy hour menu, with happy hour offered during the week and all day on Tuesdays, which is a nice bonus. They also run a lobster roll special on Wednesdays, which I was told by the bartender that most times they sell out. On certain nights, they host live music and live DJs, giving the place a lively but intimate neighborhood vibe. Street parking is available, though limited. A sweet neighborhood cat even wandered in and joined us for a bit. She was super cuddly and added to the charm of the night. Overall, a great spot for good drinks, cool vibes, and a relaxed evening. I used to love this place. The last few visits left a bad taste and I probably won't return. I chose this spot to be part of my birthday celebration evening because of the live jazz on Saturdays. They stuffed our small party in the very back, as far away from everything and everyone as possible. There were other tables open. The server person at the bar was extremely rude, and was very reluctant to take food and drink orders. I remained polite, but was still made to feel very unwelcome. The server forgot my friend's salad, so she asked him about it. After an audible sigh, he went to the back and came back like 20 minutes later to correct his mistake. We thanked him, but all we got in return was him basically throwing the salad on the table and walking away without saying a word. I love the vibe in this bar, and the food and drinks are decent, but the service can kiss my ass. There are many other places to patronize, which I will be doing from now on. read more

The inside of the lounge absolutely is not a reflection of the outside. It is definitely a vibe, even the outside seating. It has a laid back vintage feel and really is uber casual. The bartender, don't know their/ or her name was chill and friendly. They/or she was very helpful and gave great service. The food was elevated compared to many other late night lounges or bars. The dishes were actually carefully crafted and you could really taste the flavors of lemon in the brussel sprouts and the cheese sauce in the mac was smackin, oh and usually I do not like breadcrumb topping but it was cheesy, crunchy goodness. My only gripe is the overpriced mocktail , $9 for a swallow and mostly ice; the flavor however was on point; it had cucumber and lime. read more

This bar was awesome. There's a free parking garage across the street which is so convenient! Came here on a Friday night with a group of 9 and we were able to grab a couple of tables easily. There was a DJ spinning some chill music which added to the vibe. The ambiance is definitely mid-century modern. Service was not particularly warm, but they were quick and efficient. This place has such an inviting vibe. I cannot wait to be able to sit inside their swanky lounge. Last night was the second time for take out and each time I found myself talking with the super friendly staff, looking around at all of the cool stuff they have for decor, and genuinely felt myself at ease. Their patio area is spacious and appropriate for COVID. They also have heaters. We have tried the dates, steak bites, chicken sandwich, salads, and classic burger. I'd get all of them again. Great flavors. Cooked perfectly. Can't wait to get another burger! The fries have been mushy and we only have a 4 minute commute. Food flavor. Not sure I'll get them for take out again. I have been to Key's Lounge several times and have never been disappointed. I was recently here yesterday to try their brunch. I ordered a faux chicken fried steak (Personality Crisis). It is a vegan dish but I added an over easy egg on top. They use a breaded mpossible patty for the "steak". Felt homey with 60s vibes. Plus a hint of tiki. You can walk strait up to the bar and order. It was not busy and super chill. We ordered a couple cocktails and sat down. I've been to the Keys many times. Every time has been quiet the experience. In the best way. I come here often with friends and have had many dates here. The cocktails are solid! The staff is always so friendly and the atmosphere is the exact thing I look for in Portland. They have also some great food. The patio seating is where it is at if you can snag a seat. They also allow dogs on the patio!! They have outdoor fires that just give it a really cozy feel. Also, on the plus side they have a DJ! Key's Lounge, I'm so happy I discovered you! Where have you been all my life? What a gem! Went last night for the first time and I am already planning on coming back with a group of friends. You order drinks and food at the bar, part of the new trend that provides no table service; I am not a fan. But the bartender was extremely polite and genuinely friendly, both when taking and delivering our order and when I closed out the tab, that I quickly got over it. The 70s vibe definitely speaks to me, both in terms of my childhood memories and I just plain like the retro feel. Inside, the walls are wood with open wooden beamed ceilings, a large bookcase taking up one entire wall with Carter and '76 banners, indicating the error. The tufted leather booths and bar seats are red adding ambiance to the ddimly lit lounge feel. As much as I like the inside, it's the outdoor patio with it's many features that had me at hello: - Love the illuminanated TPs in shades of blue and green giving the outside space a unique and colorful backdrop - The fireplace is perfect on a chilly evening - Lots of tables and chairs for intimate conversations or groups - Stylish bar along the "garage" wall with bar stools and overhead party lights. Totally cool spot to hang - Dog friendly Can't comment on the food since we ate at Bella's Craving next door in the Piedmont Cart Pod; we were at Keys for drinks. I had a wonderful experience planning a company holiday party at Keys Lounge. We reserved the back room at Keys for about 20-25 people an it couldn't have been more perfect. The atmosphere was amazing, and the food and drinks were really great. They had a wonderful little walk up window just for the back room which made it really easy for everyone to order what they wanted at their own pace. The service was excellent and the cocktails were outstanding! I also loved the popcorn options!! 70s Vibe, 50s & 60s music, vinyl, framed paintings on the walls, red leather stools, yellow tinted lighting, small fireplaces, nice patio. This place is a total throwback to my youth. Well, maybe not all of it, but you walk in and you feel like you're in an old yellowed photograph from your parent's family albums. Even many of the drinks are classic cocktails from the time period. Daiquiri, Tom Collins, Whiskey Sour, Old Fashioned. Cheap drinks and cheap eats during happy hour, which is twice a day. The seasoned fries and the steak bites are both worth the effort, the burger looked impressive as well and other than the line for the bar, which has a tenancy to wax and wane, there's plenty of room to spread out. Our group took over four tables and we never felt crowded. I'm thinking that not a lot of people still know about this place, especially since Alberta is not far away and there are many more options. But I'd easily come back here to hang out, especially for the music and to try some more of the food. They do get DJs in as well, unfortunately not for us that night. Enjoy. read more

Super cute and cozy bar! They are open late with food! My friend and I popped in for a snack and a beverage! It is pretty dim inside but not too dark! They have a nice bar top, tables and a patio. They also have a room that has a fireeeee place and tables to sit around or lounge with a cocktail. We ordered a few Appetizers to share! They were all good! Steak Bites, Shrimp Boats, and fries! We also order a nice light Pilsner! We were in and out in about 45 mins! I'll have to come back by try a few other things and take my time! Bartenders were nice but just forgot about ....
