Was told that there is a "deeper" issue and its not covered by the home warranty and costs unspecified out-of-pocket money to repair. Once the plumber from Keyliam & Sons arrived, I was told the toilet had to be removed and that I would be charged over $400 in additional fees on top of the service fee, in essence bringing the total to well over $500 for a routine issue. Quick response, decent price when my home warranty wouldn't cover it and they went above and beyond. Polite and considerate of my home. We had a pipe disconnect behind the shower wall. They had to remove the water heater go through the outside wall to get to it. We just moved in and the gas and water valves were mislabeled so we accidentally turned the gas off too. Late afternoon, kitchen sink backed up while running washing machine. Contacted our home warrantee company, got Keyliam & Sons Plumbing. They had fixed a leaking shower faucet for us a few weeks earlier. Adis arrived the next morning, verified the problem, and snaked out the cleanout just outside the kitchen. Ran snake through the pipe to the front of the house. Verified clog gone by opening access cap to the main drain line at front of house. We could see water flowing past the snake toward the sewer, and both the washing machine and the kitchen sink drained easily. Great service and value. Thank you. read more

I can't understand the lower ratings for this company. 2 visitors in town, so a household with 5 women and 2 of the bathrooms blocked! Keyliam responded within 30 minutes of the request, maybe less, during a very busy week. Owner, VJ, showed up within another 15-20 minutes and had to monster snake out the side cleanup as well as the sink cleanout. He had every tool needed. I've snaked out clogs before and it's not a fun job. He was friendly, quick, efficient and cracked a good joke. And my clogs are gone. Thank you VJ. read more

Our water heater began to leak from the top, and we needed a repairman to come quickly. A year ago Keyliam & Sons came out to replace an attachment to our water heater in July. This is how we had their information. And we had a good experience with them then. Although our Home Warranty (AHS) got the information wrong a couple of times, and qualify the issue properly, therefore don't act quickly or as reasonably expected, the technician here did! He came out the next day because it was late in the day when the issue and need was clearly established. And in our expectation (that it may take two days to get a new water heater), he came with a new replacement water heater the next day. Got referred to these guys from my home warranty. I have to say I've had really bad experiences with home warranty plumbers in the past but this was nothing but excellent. My shower stopped working all of the sudden and contacted the home warranty for a service call. I called Keyliam directly to see when they are able to come. I was told that they could come the same day and showed up just a couple of hours after my initial call. When he showed up, he had his own pair of rubber overshoes to walk into my house as we do not wear shoes inside, impressed! After tinkering with the shower for a bit, he replaced two cartridges inside the Posi- shower valve and the other cartridge in the diverter. Overall a very pleasant experience and I'll definitely be calling them back again if I ever have plumbing issues. read more

They are either dishonest or incompetent. My 80 year old mother's sink has been unclogged many, many times over the years. The last time that someone came out, they put in a clean-out. Keyliam wanted to cut the pipe and charge me for a new clean-out when the existing one works fine. It is typical with dishonest plumbers. They work for home insurance companies (AHS) and try to create additional revenue by making up issues and scamming elderly people. I would stay away. I see from other reviews that this is not the first time that they have tried to scam someone. Shame on AHS for not screening their plumbers better. read more

Keyliam was the second company sent to me by American Home Shield after I refused to have the first company at my home (a horrible experience and that company's reviews explain why). VJ from Keyliam was a prince!! He contacted me right after he was assigned the dispatch from AHS. He asked if I could send pictures of my unit and pictures of how many times the light was blinking, legend, etc. to speed up the process. I did all that and he agreed it was the burner. He said he would have to order parts and get approval from AHS. He called exactly when he said he would and showed up less than 24 hrs from AHS approving the work. He was a very nice person and the whole process went very smoothly. I was so grateful to him for his professionalism after the other company was so horrible on initial contact.
