At first I called my home warranty to see if they could help. They sent a guy who just told me right off the bat how horrible my situation was and that it was going to cost an arm and a leg to fix it! He did not even talk about my options. Anytime you have a major issue, like plumbing, and it's going to cost a fair amount, you should be given options, feel like you have a choice and that you can trust the professional to help you to fix it properly. That's where Pioneer Plumbing comes in! I have three small children 4 and under and we were staying at a hotel so there was a sense of urgency to get the house in working order and get back into it. Living a hotel with three under 4 years old is tough to say the least. I did not feel comfortable with the first plumber who had come and was afraid that I was going to feel that way no matter what plumber it was. I did my own research and found Pioneer, I called them that night. They sent a technician out the very next day, Ralph. Ralph was so great!!! From our first meeting I felt very comfortable with him and I knew that I could trust him to help us with our situation. He was wonderful at explaining things very clearly and answering all my many questions. I had my father-in-law with me to help make sure I was asking all the right questions and Ralph was very patient with us both. Ralph checked everything out and then gave us OPTIONS! It was so great to feel like I had a choice in how I would repair my home's plumbing. He and his team did a great job fixing our pipes and they were in bad shape! No dice. Here's the reason we called Pioneer: they had an ad on Google (see picture) for $55 drain cleaning and clean-out. The plumber arrived within a reasonable amount of time. He was friendly. He was professional. All good so far. He first wanted to see the clean-out drain on the side of our house. It didn't look like it would have worked for our situation. He then went upstairs and used the snake to pull out the diaper (which ended up being around 12" down the pipe). It was so close I could have "Probably reached in with your hand and pulled it out" the plumber said. He billed me $205.00. I didn't know that my wife had referenced the Google ad for $55.00 when she called and requested service. She saw the bill and asked me about it. I called Pioneer and inquired. They said since he didn't open up the clean-out and run a snake up it, but rather came inside and ran a snake 12 inches, the price shot up by $150.00. Well, the job was done. I can't complain about the plumber's professionalism. He was polite and did the job. I only took issue with the price discrepancy. I later received a phone call from their office and they confirmed with me that they would actually honor the $55.00 Google ad. That makes for happy customers when businesses do what they say.
