Hate this Dealership. The salesman are really pushy and unprofessional. I would advice people to stay away from here. I wouldn't let me leave the damn place, the manager would keep talking to me and trying to make to me close the deal on that day. However, I had to leave the dealership because I got some emergency call from the hospital. But these A-holes, wouldn't let me leave the dealership and want me to buy the car from them at that moment. I told them i need to go to hospital because I got called in. You guys are very unprofessional. When I get called in from the hospital, it usually means that the patient is in a severe condition that requires my presence at the hospital. This place is awesome, got my last 2 cars here and they always give the best price! I got both of the cars below invoice and I was in and out within 3 hours (if you've purchased cars before you'll know that's a pretty decent amount of time). When you come here ask for Gary Berndt, he's straightforward and will work with you to get you your car. He promised to give me a great price before I test drove my RX350, and right after he kept his word. Buying that RX350 was the easiest experience I've had and I bought over a handful of cars. Here is what I learned about buying a new car: It's quite emotional, really stressful, and not nearly as fun as I thought it would be. In fact, it's kind of its own very specific brand of hell. But I learned something! That I shall now share with all of you: If you want to buy a Lexus, go to Keyes!! Specifically, give CHRIS WARD a call. He makes the process shocking bearable and almost, I'll say it.... nice. I went to two awful dealerships before I found Chris. Beverly Hills (rude, greedy, condescending) and Glendale (almost worse because they pretend to be nice while slowly twisting the knife with lies.) It was so bad I almost gave up on Lexus altogether. But then my boyfriend found Chris Ward! He and everyone at Keyes made this process so easy (or at least, as easy as I think this process could ever be.) I knew what I wanted to pay. We agreed on a number. It was a generous, fair deal that Chris pushed his superiors to approve, and it was better than the quote I was given at the other two dealerships. I signed some paperwork. Picked up my sweet goody bag and drove away in my beautiful new car. Chris is all kinds of good things - kind, personable, quite funny, passionate about cars - but he's also honest. It's really nice to go to a dealership where the salesmen aren't sharks who destroy everything in sight including each other, but actual human beings! I will preface this post by saying I am a proud Lexus owner for 3 years. Prior to purchasing my Lexus, I visited three separate dealerships, and while the personalities differed, the culture and treatment was always in line. Until today... My friend and I went to look at an IS. After spending 40 minutes there, in 100 degree weather, I honestly can not tell you one feature about the car (other than what's on the internet). There was no selling. The transaction felt disengaged and lacked basic sales interest. It felt like we were given the bare minimum. When we asked to drive the car, there was a brief pause and then finally a "sure". This is especially frustrating because I am in the market for a new lease and have had such a great experience with my Lexus that I not only came here with the intentions of learning my options, but referred a friend who was ready to pay cash for a vehicle. I felt embarrassed, and honestly wanted to leave my own car there. Fortunately, I know that this is not a common experience. Do yourself a favor... unless you're a woman, because well the finance manager did crack a smile when a woman walked by and professed she wouldn't ever by a yellow car, but failed to ever ask basic questions regarding a potential sale with us, and not come here. We are two young black men, so I would hate to think that this was an issue, but can't help but think it had a lot to do with the fact that we weren't taken serious. -SERVICE/MAINTENANCE DEPT REVIEW ONLY- I struggled with writing this review. ONLY because if you know me I'm a lover, and usually only yelp when I think service is superb. However, the reason I'm writing this is because cars are expensive, therefore upkeep is expensive. With that being said, we all know that a Lexus is a wonderful car but it isn't cheap. I bought my Lexus here in 2008 and out of convenience I've been getting it serviced at Keyes for years. About twice a year in fact because I live in the hills and it kills my breaks. So, they've gotten A LOT of my business. Last year (2012) my warranty ran out, I called them several times and left several messages to extend. I never got a call back and never talked to anyone. So I said, whatever it's cool my car should be fine. Which is the worst thing you can ever say about a car, just always get the extended warranty. Anyway, I went to get my usual service done January 2013. I just want to put a date that this was recent. Of course, I got a call that my 2008 Lexus RX 350 needs major surgery. They estimated the cost and it was gonna run me into the thousands. I declined the extra service needs, I wanted a second opinion cause that's ridiculous. I told them if the next place I go to is the same price I'll bring it back (I knew I was never coming back). Alas, I picked up my car from Keyes and got as many cookies as I could possible fit into my purse from the lounge. Since, they have the best cookies, but they're not worth thousands of dollars. When I got home, I turned to you lovely yelpers and found Lextech (read my review) and got all the work done for LESS THAN HALF the price Keyes quoted. Doing the math here, I could purchase a Louis Vuitton bag or Apple Computer with the money I saved. Not a good look Keyes Lexus. With all of that being said, I know that some of you will still go to Keyes Lexus, it's convenient, I get it. If you do go, make sure you ask for BILL HORVAT. He is the best guy they have. He was understanding, kind and really did go above and beyond trying to get me a deal to fix my car. It's not his fault that the prices are high and I completely understand that. He is really a standup guy considering the situation. If any of you MUST go to Keyes ask for him because he's the man. The one star in this review goes directly to you, BILL HORVAT. I really hope this will help you guys out! I just don't want anyone to get ripped off from dealership repair prices when there are some GREAT people on yelp you can go to for less. Wish I can give this place a -5 star if possible! Internet sales was such a BS, the price were different when we got there. And I wasn't even the buyer...I went with my friend. I'm so damn pissed for her! They gave false information and it was totally fraud information...they claimed that " after leasing a car, if we buy it within 10 days, we do not have to pay sales tax". We were for sure skeptical about such statement, but the sales, his name was Katlann or something. But he was so sure to tell us that someone just did that a few days ago and they did not have to pay sales tax since he purchased the car. So we believed him and my friend decided to lease the car because of what he said. Finally, we found out that what he said was false. So this means my friend do have to pay tax after the lease ends. So that means she will pay $1000 more since she is leasing it instead of buying the car. But my friend signed the lease contract already. She emailed the company afterwards and sent it to all the managers in the company trying to get some resolution to her dissatisfaction of the deal she got. NO ONE RESPONDED!!! So, we filed a complaint to Lexus directly and they said they will take care of it internally. We also filed a complaint on BBB. Luckily, now we found a way to make the purchase of the car even we signed the contract. So we are able to make up the amount we lost from signing that lease contract. Such a scam! Do not go here, I didn't even make it in the store. I dealt with one of the sales reps over the phone. I gave him all of the specifications I was looking for and all of the specific details needed in order to crunch numbers and close the deal which were not that difficult. He pushed my inquiry to his manager who reached out and was incredible rude. I was hoping to purchase a vehicle with them in that they had the car I wanted in the color I wanted it in. I was already approved through my bank and had the equivalent to a 40K check for them. I had a few specifications that needed to be worked out. I was willing to be flexible with my requests but none of my questions were answered. The sales manager proceeded to tell me he was confused and sounded like he had no interest in exploring any alternative options. He gave me no information that I asked for because we basically just didn't even make it that far due to the way he handled me as a customer. I was hoping to find a solution that made both parties happy at the end of the day. There was absolutely no attempt to help, no empathy shown for the stressful car buying process in general and all in all I would not step foot inside of this establishment. If this is how you treat your clients over the phone I can only imagine the nightmare I would've stepped into upon making my way to your dealership. Saying things like " do the math it's not that hard" isn't acceptable. I don't know if they were too busy or if they simply didn't care. But the way that they handled my inquiry did not make for a good customer experience at all. I found the sales guy to be condescending, rude, unprofessional, and I don't think anyone who is looking to spend upwards of $20,000 for a car wants to deal with being treated any less than comfortable. Go to another dealership. I went to a few different dealerships in the beginning stages of looking for the car I wanted and had a tremendously better experience at all of them in the Southern California area that I went to. Well, I can also confirm that all these other reviews are spot on. I really should have looked up the rating on this dealership before buying a car from here, but unfortunately I did not. Having to deal with Joey Yerkanyan (one of the sales managers) has been nothing short of a disastrous experience - from dealing with outright lies that even his own salespeople contradict (he kept claiming a certain model was nearly sold out, when the salesperson I spoke to before told me that they were receiving a large shipment later that week), to dealing with the typical runarounds when none of the salespeople know what they're doing. They also love to take 3-4 days off each week, so that they're unreachable if you have any issues and cannot speak to anyone. So basically if you have a problem, don't count on getting any help from any of the employees. I made a VERY VERY simple request to have the car registered out of state, because I am an out of state resident, yet the sales managers just gets defensive, because obviously this extra bit of (easy) paperwork is way beyond their league of expertise. Then I have to just end up doing all the paperwork myself. Another hilarious bit is all the theatrics that Bill Phelps (their general sales manager) pulled, to pretend as if they would help me in filling out the paperwork. Of course nothing was done. They have golf to play during the week and more fun things that need to be taken care of. Don't buy a car here, don't get it serviced here, don't waste your time. Plenty of better dealerships within a 100 miles radius to do all this. read more

In this day and age of dealers price gouging and just abusing their customers financially , Keyes treated me with the utmost respect and fairness. First of all BIG shout out to Ramin. I was deciding between a Mercedes or Lexus. I reached out to The General Manager at Keyes Mercedes. All he did was pawn me off to a sales manager. Ramin, Personally called and emailed me whenever I reached out to him. Anahit was my salesperson and was wonderful! She was just starting out but I can already tell she will be a superstar. Huge shout outs to MarkHaynes, Alexander ( management team)and Tim. It takes a village. I must have called 20 Lexus dealers and if I was not willing to pay AT LEAST 5-10k OVER MSRP, they would not even have a conversation with me. It is so sad. It is a really tough market out there but because of this dealership I have a beautiful new NX 350 and I do not have to worry about being upside down in my loan when the market corrects itself. Rude manager here! I stop by yesterday to look into a car. The sales person was nice, really nice! But the manager looked like he came straight from hell! He's got a sharp tounge. I don't write reviews on yelp a lot, but i felt so disrespected yesterday that when i woke up this morning i'm still thinking about his harsh words! I'm not saying don't go here. I'm even giving them 3 stars despite the fact, cause everything else was perfect until the manager showed up. He gets under your skin really fast, from the moment he says hello! This review is strictly based on the service department. And based on service, this place is WONDERFUL! I've been coming to get regular pilates changes here for the past 4 years and I've been extremely happy. Mike Nazari is my go to guy. I always make sure to schedule an appointment with him because he always provides amazing customer service. I hate going in for maintenance but it's not as painful of a task with him. He's always nice, considerate and makes sure not to waste my time. I'm sure the other reps are nice as well but for me, I don't know if I'd be as loyal to one location if Mike wasnt here. The location is clean and there is a nice size waiting area that offers water, snacks, coffee and soft drinks. There's also a few computer stations available for use. I went in to return a leased car and as soon as they found out I don't want to lease another car from them they turned me away and told me they don't take my leased Lexus from a different dealership. These people only want your money, and the managers are even bigger crooks than the sales team. Oh where do I begin the day I got my lexus was pretty much the worst decision i ever made. No part of it was good. Heads up: sorry for the long review i just have to share my frustration so nobody has to go through this! Lets start with the car I had the lexus is250 can I say my car locked me out 2 times! The door would not open. On top of that I always had problems with the navigation as it stopped working multiple times. When i would be on the phone and hang up the navigation screen would always freeze. I took the car to service the first time and they said they cant duplicate the problem and that i should of taken a picture, well excuse me for not doing that while I was driving. Long story short the guy helping me was bribing me with a free detailed car wash if i gave them a 5 star review. Ridiculous!!! Had to go back 2nd time with a video and my navigation screen completely not working for them to fix it. Then had problems with rental reimbursement and gave up on that idea of getting my money back. Comes the time to return, a month before i call lexus for a pre inspection they say call financial services i call them they tell me they dont offer that service and that i should take it in and ask the dealer a couple days before returning. Took the car in yesterday and they tell me they dont no what im talking about and i should call financial services. Called financial services today and of course they tell me its too late for that inspection and that I should of received a guide with instruction which i never received. Spoke to a manager at lexus asking what i can do and she pretty much blamed me for not calling earlier even though i explained my situation to her of how i called a month before and what happen. I gave up on the idea because of how sick and tired I was with the car and took the car to return it today. Tell me why they didnt even walk us inside to return the car we did everything outside including signing the papers. I dont even no the name of the person who returned my car she couldn't even speak normal english. She didn't even know about the liability form i have to fill out with the dmv. I had to ask her to go ask a manager. Conclusion: these people dont know how to provide service. They dont even know how to communicate with each other. The least they could of done is apologize for the confusion. I am so glad that I am done with this dealership. I now have a mercedes and cant be happier with everything at least keyes mercedes know what customer service is. All I can do is echo other people's complaints. The salesman made fun of me for wanting a particular color and insinuated that maybe I should just go get another Mazda. They left me alone for so long I just got fed up. By the time the manager actually came by I'd been sitting for 45 minutes and just wanted to leave. My friend prefers to lease cars, and for her next lease she wanted to scale back on her expenses. One of the cars she was considering was a 2011 IS250. She wasn't totally sold on the car and also considered a Prius IV, but the crooks at Keyes Toyota convinced her that the Lexus is a better choice. I've bought (or helped friends buy) a dozen cars in the past eight years. I make simple tables to help explain to my friends what we should expect to pay, and (it being their money and not mine) I have price targets for "terrible deal", "okay deal", "good deal", and "impossibly good deal". It was the end of the 2011 model year when we went in looking for the lease, and they had one IS250 left. I think that they were anxious to sell because their first offer was already in the "impossibly good deal" range. Being unconvinced that she really wanted the Lexus, we told the sales manager that she wanted to go next door to test drive the Prius. He gave her some lies: "The deal won't be available later if you walk away now." I told her it'll still be available later. "I'm leaving in the next 30 minutes, so I won't be here when you come back." I told her he'd be there. My friend has a lot of confidence in me. *grin* We had a bad experience at the Toyota dealer, and we came back for the Lexus. The sales manager was there (of course), and we haggled the price even lower than what was offered an hour earlier. We walked away with an excellent deal; best deal I've ever made on a car. I'm knocking off stars because the car wasn't cleaned well when we took delivery, and they didn't fill up the gas like they said they would (nearly empty), and my friend was not well treated when she went back a few days later to take care of some small issues with the car. read more

I didn't even get plates with my car. When I contacted Keyes on 3 separate occasions (with no one following up) I finally got ahold of their DMV department. I had to go to AAA and take care of it myself. I didn't even ask for them to reimburse me because I didn't want the hassle. This is all after a crappy car buying experience (read previous post.) Just stopped in to test drive a new ct200h. I had been communicating via phone with someone about lease deals and decided to make time in my schedule earlier than later to come in and test drive since cars were going quickly. Long story short, we approached a group of salespeople and we were dealt Kristoph. He never took us seriously. I bet he would like to know that we were ready to start a new lease deal tonight. Instead, he was incredibly dismissive of our questions, took us on the quickest test drive ever and didn't show us a single feature in the car. I honestly left knowing nothing about the car. Not a single thing. The lovely woman who I had spoken with on the phone had told me that they could dealer trade for the car color I was interested in. Kristoph's response, "No way. It's too late. You're too late." So rude. I've never felt valued less in my life. It's too bad because I was really interested in a Lexus and now I am so turned off from the entire brand. UPDATE: I got the message below from a Manager at the dealership asking me for my phone number. I provided it to him within minutes and I still have not heard back. WARNING. Do not fall for the used "underpriced" cars they dangle on the internet, they do not exist and they falsify stock numbers and vin's to advertise the same car (that does not exist) over and over again. I went in yesterday for a 2010 E350 and voila, it had been sold. I noticed today in brand new adds going on the web that they were advertising the sold car + other cars with almost the same specs and called on the other cars: SOLD. The lightbulb came on pretty fast here as the ads went on the internet TODAY (Saw them go live as i kept the craigslist listings open today for the car i was searching for). You can say to yourself (as they said to me): well it takes a few days for these sold cars to clear the web. NO, these are brand new adds for non-existent cars going up daily. I called three times today right after the ads went up and each one was sold. Bait, taken. Finally i called to confront this issue and the internet sales manager Jay Campbell hung up on me 2 minutes into our call. I called back and talked to a nice gentleman who said yes there is a problem and they are "cleaning it up." Sure. I am going to report this practice to Lexus (who prob do not give a shit what their dealers do as long as they sell cars!) and here and to people i know. We have a friend who is in legal for Lexus as a lawyer and i am going to call him as well. I have printed out listings with the dates and times and when they went on the web of sold cars that do not exist at the dealership - if they once did they are long gone and were never at the price advertised. With carfax we finally have truths about where a car has been, who has owned it and more history - but we still have lying, cheating, evil tactics used by scummy dealerships. I had cash money to spend and these guys will never get my business and i urge you to realize that the bad reviews here are the real ones. the good ones are planted half the time - but nobody would plant a bad review of their business. Do not go here. Do not look at the ads. Just get a car from your sweet aunt or second cousin cause car dealerships are not worth the pain. read more

I'm giving 5 stars for only Product Demonstrator Khristophe Keen. He was very patient and super nice!! Sales person was okay and I really didn't like financial guy Sam. He lied to me, didn't do his job right and gave me an attitude so I'll give him NO star. If you look at my other reviews you will find that I am very generous with the stars. I tend to see the positive in either the service or the product and really am not hard to please. In this case both the service and lack of product was so far below par that I have to say the experience overall was just stupid! I was communicating online regarding a specific car I wanted. Long story short, I arrived at my appointed time (over an hour drive) only to be told the car was just "recently" sold. When I asked what "recently" meant I was told "this morning." When I asked why I wasn't notified either via phone call or email I was told "because I was busy." Busy??? Busy doing what? Working???? Wasn't I part of your work? Your immediate work? I won't even bother bringing up the loud argument the internet sales person had with the floor sales person that was far from professional (seems the whole thing was unprofessional after all) but I will bring up the fact that the floor sales guy made an oopsie and let out that the car wasn't actually sold in the morning, but several days before, which made my whole appointment and effort moot. Long story (not so) short, I bought my car two days later at Santa Monica. When I told them my story the car salesman (who had only been at his job for 2 months) told me that he's heard several horror stories from Lexus Van Nuys and another person who use to work there verified that it was one of the worst dealers he's ever been with. My favorite car is LEXUS ES300H. I have been asking around and no one didn't give me the deal that I have got from LEO. He is sales person but the difference between him and other is he does care about his customers and cares about his business. Very positive attitude and nice customer service. Great experience. Buying a car is usually a pain in the a**. Not with Keyes Lexus. Christian was very straight forward in giving the quote over the phone. Then, Karina at the dealer was a joy to work with. Finally, Jeff, the finance guy was very efficient with the paperwork. No game playing here.
