This past Saturday I was in Van Nuys to get my car worked on at a dealer on the blvd. My girlfriend and I had some time to kill so we decided to check out some of the other car dealers in the area. She was in the market for a new car but we never discussed it thoroughly. We walked passed Keyes Lexus and decided to see some of the cars on the lot. We were approached by a salesman named Isaiah Thurman. He asked if we had any questions or if we had any specific vehicles we were looking for. My girlfriend had been driving SUV's for as long as I have know her so naturally we narrowed down the choices to the Lexus NX and the RX. Isaiah allowed us to test drive both cars. The RX was definitely the winner among the two. We went inside to work out some numbers. Isaiah introduced us to his colleague Karim Sahnoun. He was able to get us the deal that we were looking for that allowed us to utilize my girlfriends old SUV as part of the deal. Both Isaiah and Karim were super helpful and very professional. Not once did we feel intimidated or pressured into the deal. I had never considered Lexus in the past but the experience at Keyes made me change my mind. Thanks to Isaiah and Karim we drove off the lot with a branch new car. When my current lease ends I will be utilizing Keyes Lexus in Van Nuys as my dealer of choice. I refuse to do any business with Keyes Lexus. They were very unhelpful when it came time to return my old RX after my lease was over. I didn't end up purchasing my new lease from them because Woodland Hills Lexus gave me a significantly better deal for my new NX Fsport. I purchased my new vehicle a few weeks before my RX lease was over and decided not to switch in my old car the same day I purchased my new NX. When came time to return my previous lease, I went to Keyes because they are the closest location to me. They told me they were unable to take my car because, "they had no room". So a week later prior to going in, we called Keyes, spoke to someone who got an approval from someone else saying it's okay to take in the car to return it that evening. We got there about 15 minutes after getting off the phone. And when my husband went inside to drop off the keys, they would not take in the car AGAIN. Due to, " not having space". Prior to calling in Keyes Lexus we had called Lexus financial and were told we can drop off the old car at any of their locations. So when Keyes decided not to help us, we ended up driving to Woodland Hills. That's when we understood Keyes was just bitter because we didn't make the new lease through them, therefore they didn't care to assist us. After a horrific experience at Woodland Hills Lexus, Christian Mader saved the Lexus experience for me, and I ended my Memorial weekend car shopping adventure on Memorial Day, Monday at 9PM beyond happy and satisfied. Christian Mader gave me an incredible deal, was straightforward and honest. Qualities that I did not believe a care salesman could possess after my horrific experience at Woodland Hills Lexus. If you're going to service your car here, I would avoid Bill Horvat. He's going to try to run your bill high and charge you for things that most dealerships would not even charge for. He will also go to the extreme of telling you that your NEW tire (that another reputable auto repair company installed brand new) is defected and to RETURN it so he can get the sell. he's in it solely for his commission, not customer care. If you don't pay for all the services, he recommends, he will ignore you and Give off a bad vibe at check out. if you're going to see anyone come on, go see Danecia Dedeaux. I've always used her, but she wasn't there for one day I needed to bring my car in. She is HONEST and won't rip you off. I had recently brought my vehicle in for maintenance and the dealership had lost one of my tire caps. Furthermore, they had scraped the rims paint off and caused a cut on the tire. I had been in contact with them for multiple months trying to get answers and they have now ghosted me. I am very disappointed since this is the first time something like this had happened. What I am disappointed with most is that rather than taking responsibility for a customer that has purchased 15+ cars from them they try to blame me. Horrible experience Be aware of Danny Banayan!!!He is a scammer i fully payed for a car, signed all the paperwork, did downpayment and i was promised that the car will be arriving in 7 to 10 days. I called the dealership as 5 days have past to see the status, i was told that under my name is now a different car with a complete new vin number, AND 1000 dollars Cheaper than the car i bought and on top of everything i have to wait another month and a half to receive it... As I confronted him, what is going on as noone warned me that i am now getting a new car, he told me the car had roof damage and they can no longer give it to me. When in reality the car was sold to someone else as they told me checking by the vin number I originally had... do not trust him, he never apologized for what he did. He is a lier, only wants to get business. But that is not the way to deal with customers! HORRIBLE, i spent all day, loosing a day of work, to solve the problem, being told "wait, we will find you a new car" and after waiting til closing time I was told there is no car available for you and nothing they can do! read more

Had a totally bizarre experience here yesterday. We came in to test drive a couple of the SUVs. The salesperson who helped us could not have been less interested in making a sale. He barely said a word during the test drive, and when we asked what kind of features the model we were driving had, he waved his hand across the dash area and said "it's all here." That's all. When we sat down to talk pricing, he again was so completely uninterested. He gave us one price, and then his business card, and then left. We didn't discuss anything or get to ask any of our questions. He did ask us if we wanted water...which we did...which he then never brought us. It's a real bummer because we really liked the car but I honestly can't imagine getting it here. I have to hope we'll get better service buyung this car at a different Lexus dealership. read more

I went in looking test drive a car and got so much push back it was ridiculous. I was 19 at the time and had come with one of my friends to see the car I was interested in. I understand that maybe most 19 year olds wouldn't be looking to buy a car at Lexus, but I worked really hard and wanted to treat myself. Anyways, I walk in, no one's greets us and we kept getting handed off to different sales people. Finally got to talk to someone about test driving and they said their was a problem with my insurance. I had to call my insurance and have them confirm which took almost an hour. At this point, I get into the car and ask why I didn't have the keys. It's a reasonable question, usually you get the keys when driving. I got a whole attitude from the guy helping me saying that the car drives without it as long as I don't turn it off. Ok. Reasonable, but I didn't need the attitude. I drive around, love the car, come back and I wanted to look into what monthly pricing would be. The guy said he was too busy to help me right then and that I should come back another time with proof of income and that type of stuff. The dealership was empty... I went there because my mom had been looking to buy a car from them too - she went to the Lexus in Woodland Hills after they gave her similar attitude. I didn't go back, went to the Galpin dealerships and good a great deal on a beautiful hybrid the same day. Highly recommend the Lexus in Woodland Hills over this one. read more

2014 YELP 365 CHALLENGE - 144/365 I've decided to update my review and dock two stars, because I did not enjoy my last visit to Keyes Lexus. I have a leased 2013 CT200h which I got from a different dealership last year. However, I later moved to Sherman Oaks and started going to Keyes Lexus for my periodic services because it was the closest Lexus dealership near me. A few weeks ago, Keyes Lexus called me and informed me that it was about time to get my 10,000 mile service done, which I thought was pretty cool because they had it in their system that I was ready for it. They also said that this service would be complimentary/free of charge, which was a pleasant surprise because I thought that my 5,000 mile service was the only one that was complimentary. When I came in to get my 10,000 mile service, I was helped by Linda Nelson who was AWESOME. She was super personable, and made it a quick and easy process for me. I will definitely be asking for her during my next service and highly recommend her! I asked Linda if I could test drive some new cars since I was thinking about leasing another Lexus when my lease ended...NEXT YEAR. She gladly referred me to some of their salespeople who could help me. Now here's where everything went downhill...and I ended up being stuck at the dealership MUCH LONGER than I had planned. All I wanted to do was test drive the f-sport version of the CT200h to compare to my base model CT200h, AND perhaps test drive the IS250, which I have also been considering as my next car. However, the salespeople kept bugging me, saying that they could give me a great deal if I completely terminated my current lease (with another dealership, I might add) and leased a brand new car with them THAT VERY DAY. Uhh...THAT IS NOT WHAT I SAID! I said that all I wanted to do was test drive some cars so that when the time comes and my lease ends in MAY 2015 (WELL OVER A YEAR FROM NOW), I may consider leasing another car. Another sales girl I worked with had come to the assumption that I was literally there to lease another car that day. She was seriously misinformed because I was only there to 1) get my car serviced, which really was my main priority, and 2) perhaps test drive some cars while I was waiting for my car to finish. I had NO intention of getting a car that day, yet everybody there either assumed I was there to trade in, or thought they could rope me into getting a new car that very day. It was super frustrating and I was getting really annoyed. One lady said she could give me a FULLY LOADED CT200h for zero down, $279-289 a month. I was very skeptical and thought this was too good be true. She was convinced she could give it to me for that much because she could use some of the money that was put into my current lease into a new one. I told her to show me some numbers on paper to see if this deal is really legit. She took me to her office, and we started going over some forms so she could give me a price estimate. For some reason, she asked me if I COULD put down a down payment today, how much could I give. I was confused because literally just a few minutes ago she said she could give me a fully loaded CT with NO down payment for less than $300/month. Since I had NO intention whatsoever of getting a car today or giving a down payment today, I gave her a very low $ number. Then she asked me what my top monthly payment would be, and I told her $300. She pushed for $330 and I was hesitant but I said whatever. The lady came back a few minutes later...and gave me a price estimate of $387 A MONTH! WTFFFFF! AND that was with the small down payment I said I COULD potentially offer. I could not believe it. Originally she tells me that she can give me a fully loaded CT for zero down, $279-289/month, and now she tells me that she can give it to me for a few hundred dollars down payment AND $387/month. Umm...ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! You seriously need to re-evaluate your pricing skills because that is COMPLETELY off. My car service was only supposed to take 60-70 minutes, yet these salespeople kept me at the dealership for THREE HOURS. AND they didn't even let me test drive any cars, which is really all I wanted to do while waiting for my car to be serviced. I was absolutely livid. Because I spent so much time at the dealership, I was also late to an appointment I had down in Orange County that afternoon. Thanks, Keyes Lexus, but now I know I will definitely not be leasing a new car with you. I will stick to the dealership who got me my current car because they were the nicest people I've ever met, and gave me a KILLER deal. I am very certain that Keyes Lexus would never be able to match what I have now. 2 stars left for a great service department. Negative 2 stars for shady salespeople. read more

This dealership is about 3 miles away from my house, yet I've never leased a vehicle from this dealership! Gary offered stellar service throughout the whole experience. Was lucky enough to find the exact exterior/interior combo and trim that I wanted. Fast forward to receiving my plates... I found out that the front license plate mount was missing from the the trunk compartment. Gary, sent it out to me right away and took care of the issue. This is for the service department at Keyes Lexus. Based on how they treated my mom, if I could give this place 0 stars I would. First off, they somehow managed to crash (yes, you read right, CRASH) my mom's brand new Lexus SUV when she took it in for the first oil change. I don't even know how that's possible. Secondly, when they gave the car back to my mom, they basically told her that all they could do was apologize and fix the damage (more on this later). My mom had to argue and fight tooth and nail to get an extended oil change plan (40,000 miles vs. the usual 10,000 miles). After three unsuccessful trips, the damage they caused from the crash has finally been fixed...by a third party body shop. Yep, the Lexus service team couldn't even fix their own car that they damaged. Additionally, they drove over a screw when they last tried to fix the damage and when my mom brought it up, they denied all fault and made her pay for a new tire (even though the tire was leaking air when she picked the car up). If you're paying for a luxury vehicle, it should be expected that the service would be at the same level. With this experience, I do not recommend Keyes Lexus to anyone. read more

Not even a honda in bad condition, a 2013 Honda Civic, completely fine and great car. But beside the point. So we park and walk up to this tall, conceded looking oaf. And my dad tells him that he's interested in leasing a Lexus and he wants to know what the deals are. And this pompous ass, starts laughing and telling him the deals like he can't afford them, and making it completely obvious that he thinks we can't afford one. Absolutely painful to watch. Needless to say, we left and leased our Lexus from the dealership in Beverly Hills. Much better service, without the condescending attitude!! I had an experience similar to other reviewers. After Christmas last year (2008), I decided to take advantage of the economic downturn and my misfortune with my BMW repair bills and trade in for a Japanese luxury car. Keyes Lexus was my second dealer and I went only because it was close. I told them I was looking for a 2008 IS 250 and I wanted to trade in my 3 series. They took my keys to do an appraisal and took me on a test drive. Fine. Then I wanted to know the lowest price they were willing to offer me on my preferred specs (nav and luxury package - not picky about color). Then came the show. Nelson Petrosyan couldn't give me numbers, only the sales manager could. So I waited for this guy (Edward). He wanted to know about payments. I told him I was probably going to pay cash, just give me the out the door price. A lot of hemming and hawing, and he went back to wherever folks go to come back with a price about 4K above what I was willing to pay. He tries to get me on payments, wants me to fill out a credit application. I told him honestly I'm a writer with no dependable income. My husband will come back to purchase the car for me - I just need the price. More hemming, he writes the price in tiny letters on a manila folder and shows me (he's down 2K). No good, I say. And what about the trade in. Oh, that's handled by another guy. He goes away for many more minutes. I'm on my third bottled water by now and have used the ladies room twice. He comes back with a low ball trade-in (I already had a much better deal from Carmax). Fine, I said - no trade in - what's the price? He said if I brought in my husband and was really ready to deal - then he'd come down another $1400. WTF?? Yes my husband will be buying me the car, but c'mon. I wanted prices and quotes to save me and hubby time when we actually did get the car. And yes, I had to twist arms to get my keys and license back from these folks. Needless to say I purchased elsewhere for $600 less. So they called for several days - only to hang up on me when I told them I purchased a Lexus from another dealership. Since this is my local service center, I hope that experience is much better. read more
