It sat untouched for about three hours. I was later told the job was "complete," only for them to add that they couldn't remove the rear tires and suggested I take it to a mechanic. I ended up removing them myself and returning so they could finish the job I was already paying for. My vehicle drove perfectly when I dropped it off, but after their "work," it began making a loud mechanical noise that wasn't present before. When I brought it back to address the issue that started immediately after their service, they denied responsibility and told me to "see a mechanic." I should not have to go elsewhere and incur additional costs to fix a problem that may have been caused during this visit. Hours wasted, incomplete service, and zero accountability. I would strongly recommend going elsewhere.

Especially when I live three hours from their location. However, not only were Krista and Bill quick to respond to my inquiry of their posting, they were also very patient with all my back and forth emails. They were also very accommodating to me as far as holding the wheels and tires until I was able to get down to them due to my crazy schedule. Although I have since purchased new tires elsewhere, Pep Boys continues to honor my lifetime alignments. Unfortunately, my experience with the Boston Road location in Springfield has been extremely frustrating. Time after time, I have scheduled appointments only to find that they are not honored. I've reached the point where I call before leaving home because there is often an issue--either the alignment technician isn't available or the shop is too busy, despite the fact that I have a scheduled appointment. This location appears to be very disorganized and lacks proper communication and scheduling practices. Customers should not have to repeatedly confirm whether an appointment will actually be kept. Based on my repeated experiences, I would not recommend the Boston Road Pep Boys location. There are plenty of other automotive service providers that are more reliable and respectful of their customers' time. -Mike D.
