I'm about to put a ding in that score. I went here over my usual guy because I'm a layman and thought maybe brakes required a special skillset. I wanted to get it done right. I brought it in and was told the brake pads- or whatever- are worn down and are pretty much just metal on metal, in the front wheels. The rear brakes aren't great but I could put those off for now. I was told it would cost $550, and that that would mostly be in parts. I grimaced and took the hit. A week later, my brakes aren't working so well. Something about air in the line, everyone tells me, because the pedal depresses almost entirely to the floor before I get any braking traction. I call the shop and describe it. The guy tells me that doesn't sound like air in the line at all, it sounds like the... something, I forget, and it'll need replacing and lots of work. At this point I start to see what's going on here. I say "I'll think about it" and hang up. I brought the car to my usual guy. He says Arc Garage did a crap job and didn't reconnect the hoses correctly and sprayed (something) on the (something), which I was made to believe was a bad move. He asked what they charged and I told him, and he said "Oh, you got ripped off so bad. Oh wow. That was a $200 job." He then told me the fix he'd just done was $50 and to come and get it. I won't be making this mistake again. Also, what the hell Yelp, please don't lead me astray like that.

At 122,000, rear differential started making a scraping sound. Had the fluid replaced which stopped the sound for about a week (basically a bandaid). Had both of the seals replaced about two weeks ago, no more scraping sound. Price was reasonable considering the cost of a newer vehicle is too much. I love my car. I've never experienced this level of service before, and there are five main reasons why: Impeccable Environment: First, I was shocked by how clean and organized the shop is. It's rare to see a garage so well-maintained. Customer-Centric Care: The staff is incredibly friendly. To ensure an accurate repair, they asked detailed questions about every symptom the car was having. Their approach to consulting--truly looking at things from the customer's perspective--was very impressive. Convenient Shuttle Service: Third, they actually offer a ride home while your car is being fixed if you need it. I've never had a shop offer that kind of convenience before. Transparent Digital Inspections: What really "wowed" me was their reporting. They took photos of everything they inspected and provided detailed explanations. They showed me exactly what was wearing out, what needed immediate attention, and even shared videos to help me understand. I was totally sold. Honesty and Integrity: Finally, since no new parts were required for my specific fix, they actually did the repair for free. I simply couldn't pass up the chance to leave a glowing review after such a positive experience. I actually asked an AI for a recommendation for a reliable shop in the area, and it pointed me here--it absolutely exceeded my expectations!
