I literally just want to keep them a secret because I'm obsessed! I have been to several nail salons all over the bay and this by far has been the best. They include gel in the price which is nice and they have very fair prices compared to other salons I've been to. But what I really love is that they don't shy away from a challenge. No matter what I bring, they are willing to tackle it. Nina especially killed this set and freehanded the face. I was damn near ready to hug her cuz they were so cute. I've been to this nail salon 5 to 6 times. I didn't care for my pedicure so I never had this service again. My nails have been done with Nina 4 times and I have to say she is so rude, unhelpful and acts annoyed from start to finish. Last time she was so rough while filing that she cut my skin. The top coat didn't cover the whole nail (missing on sides). I came back to have this fixed and she didn't bother cleaning my nails before putting another top coat on. I went back and saw Julie this past time. She was also rude! The acrylic nails were a little long so I asked to just take very little off. She took off quite a bit so I said they're a bit too short now and that I only wanted a little taken off. She responded "first they were too long and now they're too short?!" She didn't offer to fix it but instead made me seem like I'm crazy. She didn't put the powder close to the cuticle and she didn't clean the nails well. They tried multiple different methods to replicate the gradual transition and after multiple different tries, we finally settled on something. It was BEAUTIFUL!! Julie and Helen are truly talented! They even added the chrome toy nails instead of just regular sliver to continue with the 3D theme. I don't remember who did my pedicure but she was truly the best! Don't come in for a design unless you have all day!!! This has happened to me MORE THAN ONCE!! I come in with a design I want. They won't tell you they can't do the design, they will simply do what THEY want on your nails and hope you won't speak up. I asked a simple design (the ombré nails) and specifically said "I want the design and shape just keep my nail length please." They made it seem impossible to find the color. Right when I think we're halfway done, there's cuticle oil being put on me ? A single brown color is as placed on my nails. NO DESIGN. She then says "I thought you just wanted the color?" why aren't they paying attention to what the customer is saying ? They then proceeded to MAGICALLY FIND THE ORIGINAL CORRECT COLOR MATCH ??? They try the design and came to the conclusion that they cannot recreate the design. (Why not state that at the beginning?) I look for another design on Pinterest (amber nails) they start to do the nails and try THREE different colors until they tell me they don't have that color. They spent TWO HOURS on my nails. I came here to get my nails done last week. I called for a same day appointment for later in the evening at 5:30 and when I came earlier (around 5:10) they sat me down right away. There was one other person there getting a pedicure. It was a little hard to navigate where the plaza was but it's right next to the gas station & pet store. My manicurist was really sweet and did an amazing job on my gel manicure. I look forward to coming out to Dublin for more manicures here! read more

The only issue I have here is how expensive it is, I feel like nails are getting more and more expensive yearly. The other negative its there a technician that smokes quite frequently and I get super bad headaches from the second hand smoke smell. My sister and I walked in to get acrylic nails last minute before a funeral. We walked in close to closing and asked if they could do two sets. They seemed annoyed at us walking in last minute but did not turn us away. We knew it was inconvenient for them so we kept our request simple. She asked for almond shaped nails with a white curved french tip. I asked for coffin shaped nails with a black curved french tip. My sisters nails came out better than mine, although when the tips were glued on they were facing different directions. When doing her french tip they drew a line straight across and she had to ask for it to be re done with a curved line. Never seen a french tip done like that! As for my nails she asked if I wanted medium or long nails. I asked for a medium/long length and she gave me short nails. They were barely long enough to be considered acrylic nails. I had asked for coffin and they weren't long enough to be coffin shaped! It was an awkward length and she filed them inward to appear coffin shaped which made it worse. She also recklessly chopped my nails without measuring them, and most of them were not the same length and did not match the other hand. The french tip lines were painted perfectly, which is a shame the nails were done poorly. She excessively drilled my nails with the e-file to the point my nails were in pain and burning. I had to pull my hand back multiple times and yell owch! She proceeded to be rough and reckless because she was annoyed we walked in late. She was rushing and cut my fingers with the drill twice. Every time I pulled my hand away from pain, she got more annoyed and kept pulling my hand back or twisting my fingers telling me to relax. I'm also disabled and wheelchair bound, it was painful each time she yanked my hand forward since my wheelchair did not fit under the nail desk. Later when I went home my nail beds were burning in pain and the skin around my nails was raw and cut up. My sister & I have been getting our nails done for well over a decade and I've never had such a horrible nail experience in my life. We were aware of the inconvenience of coming in close to closing, we paid well and tipped. But if they were in such a rush they should have turned us away instead of being rude and reckless. It's also expensive! We paid $70 for almond nails and $80 +tip for short basic acrylic nails for a rude nail tech to burn and cut my fingers. We were extremely unhappy with our nails and experience here. Save yourself the pain & money and go somewhere else! read more

I recently received a pedicure here and during the service, the male technician was cutting and stabbing me deep with his instruments (I paid $50). He said "sorry" after I began to bleed. Fast forward to today (approximately a week), and my big toe is severely infected (see photo). I am a 25 year old female who is otherwise healthy, so it is very alarming that my toe still hasn't healed after getting initially injured. In short, I wasted $50 and now have to go to urgent care or a podiatrist to drain the swelling and get antibiotics. I am in so much pain. This is by far the worst experience. As for acrylics, I've found that they lift within the first week. I would recommend going to another salon where the staff is held responsible. read more

This was my second time here, because the fill and Cherry Blossom design I had gotten on my first visit, which was a walk-in, I loved! So, I made an appointment a week ahead of time and asked for long acrylics with a design {yes, I asked ahead of time} and to send a photo before I went in to confirm they could do it, but they assured me they could do designs. As I mentioned before, I enjoyed the cherry blossom design from my first visit. This experience, however, was a bit different to say the least.... I got there and she said the photoS I was using as an example were stickers and not hand drawn. Ummm... okay. Might have been too advanced, I understand. I asked for just the Dragon Balls. She told me she might not be able to do even the first Dragon Ball. Cool. I asked for a basic Cat/Tiger Eye, but they were unable to do it. The lady said they didn't have the necessary equipment for it, because, "no one asks for it so we don't have it." Cool. I asked for my classic go to - a basic red and black, but they said they only had black because, "no one gets that red shade," so they were out of that...... Cool. Well, I decided straight black and white it is. No design. I got Navy Blue and white.... Not black. I asked for long and pointy as in sharp claws, but received medium and dull. Meanwhile, the nail tech behind me was arguing with her customer about what and how she wanted her services. At the time of payment they asked if they could fix it, but at that point how? So, I was nice enough to pay and gave two stars. If you go you may be as disappointed as date night with bad s3x at the end. read more

My favorite nail salon in the tri-valley. They have a large gel color selection and can do pretty much any designs you show them. The place is clean and everyone there is super friendly. I usually don't give a negative review but would highly suggest people to stay away from this place as it a major rip off. We book an appointment for two regular manicures for my girls age 12 and 14 for 3.15pm and got late 15 mins. The lady at the front desk was polite and gave us the color palette to choose after 25 mins waiting and asked us to choose the art design from pinterest/google. As we showed her the ones we liked she said it needs foil or acrylic nails etc and asked us to check with the aesthetician later. We were about to leave as had been waiting for 30 mins and still no words how long it will take (besides realized people that came after us got in ahead of us). Secondly, The Blonde hair lady with glasses convinced us to gel nail paint instead of regular ( as regular will come off in a day or two)..considering we are doing this for my daughters upcoming graduation next week, I said yes. I didn't hover over them while she worked and sat on side searching for the art design. After showing multiple design, she kept raising her eyebrows Not this ..Not that one, finally agreed on one design and ultimately put the sticker , that we could have done it at home ourself (while I was with my younger daughter finding designs). OK..I guess all is my mistake. Wait this is not done, The 2nd Aesthetician was good as she did a good job.She asked my daughter after first finger if she likes it or not or if she want to continue.She was thorough and made it worth coming! I felt good and went back to my 1st daughter and asked her and she said the color was too bright for her skin as she didn't liked it ( later told me it was due to 5 coats). I asked her to change and the lady flatly said its already set, I told my daughter we will pay to change it but she got too tired already with the whole experience and wanted to be just done and leave. Last came the payment part, we paid $40 for each gel paint manicure (trimming nails, pushing cuticles with some liquid treatment, application of fingernail polish and 1 pump of lotion at the end), $15 for sticker (total 6 small stickers ) on my 1st daughter, $25 for second daughter and the lady at front desk charged $120. No breakdown until I asked as No Receipt either. Decide for yourself as pictures are worth a thousand words:- Teal (stickers) and Lavender (actual art). Now I will have to take my daughter to another place and get it done right over the weekend before calling it a day at Ken Nails Spa. read more
