I found Sierra on Instagram and loved her work so regardless of living an hour away I booked her Tier 2 service and made the drive. The first appointment was a great experience, she explained everything she was doing step by step and executed what I asked for flawlessly. It was very much worth the price + tip and commute. My second appointment with her was supposed to be today @ 1pm, I drove to Pleasanton super early to avoid traffic and made it by 11am... She texts me at 11:12am that she has to cancel because she woke up with a terrible stomach ache. She asked me if we could reschedule this week but when I gave her the day I'm available her response was she's fully booked and could ask her coworker to fit me in. Nothing against her coworker but idk who that person is nor have I seen their work so that wasn't an option. I ended up not rescheduling at all. When clients are paying the premium (AND TIPPING) for a service there should be a certain level of professionalism. I understand things happen but still can't help being irritated and feeling like my time was wasted. read more

Anytime I get serviced by her I leave extremely satisfied with the nail set/nail art, worth every penny! She's easy to get a hold of and supper accommodating. I've gone to multiple salons in the past where they do not give much attention to detail and they want to just get you out of your chair. LaBarra has quickly become one of my favorite salons. I usually book with Kamryn but every time I'm there the other girls do just as an amazing job. The salon is adorable and comfortable. Everyone is so nice and I always look forward to my appointments. The price is SO fair for the services these girls provide, they put so much love and effort into every set. I get my nails done by Kamryn and she never lets me down. She's 21 which I feel is pretty young but her work is so good. I have very wide and down turned nail beds and she knows how to make them appear slimmer and has techniques so my nail extensions lay flat instead of turning down with my nails. I always used to get acrylic before because i'm so harsh on my nails, but she has switched me over to a gel service and my nails have never lasted longer. She is so good at nail art and can always do what I ask of her. I will normally show her a inspo picture and she copy and pastes it. The salon itself is so cute and welcoming, they even have free drinks. Everyone there is super accommodating and one thing I appreciate so much is kamryn asks a lot of questions to make sure I get exactly what I want. She even walks me through the service and tells me exactly what she's doing compared to the regular salons that will just do whatever. It was my first time at La Barra, I heard about them through a close friend. I scheduled with Sierra and my experience was nothing short of amazing. I was super relaxed, Sierra was so thorough during the service and shared different options with me to make sure I left with exactly the set I wanted. I can tell she wasn't using the typical cheap grade products found at most nail salons. You can tell during the service she really cares for your overall nail health. Really wanted to like this place, nice vibe but unfortunately, the work I got from them wasn't the best. I called the same day for a get mani, the girl took so long but it looked like either was her 1st time or didn't know what she was doing. In one of my fingers, the color is flat and there is some kind of texture on the nail, and the rest are shiny, not sure why, however, the worse part of it is that the color chipped TWO days after. read more

The end result was a very sloppy and thick acrylic nail.
