I visited Princess Nails recently for a gel manicure and it was a good experience. The nail salon is clean and spacious. I didn't have an appointment and was able to walk in and request an appointment for an hour later. Julie did my nails and she was friendly and did a great job. I was happy with how my nails looked and the customer service. The salon's card system was down, and I was not aware until halfway through the service. Luckily, I had some cash in my work bag and Julie was able to accompany me to my car and get change. That interaction was slightly awkward, but otherwise the nail salon is a pretty solid spot and I would consider returning if I'm in San Ramon again. read more

I don't usually give low reviews for nail salons but this place has messed my nails up BIG time. It started off with the weird convo that the artist initiated after I told her that I wanted to remove my acrylics since I had to go back to work. She said, "I thought you're a big boss. You can't keep your acrylics?" Later on she asked if I have a boyfriend. I said no. She said she has two sons and listed their age and said, "which one do you want?" Such weird vibes. She then rushed the process of removing my acrylic by drilling down instead of soaking it with nail polish remover, to the point where it made me bled. I yelled out in pain and then the nail artist complained to her friend Julie (another nail artist whom was working on my toes) that she is in a rush and cannot finish my nails since she has another lady coming in soon. She quickly left my hands alone for Julie to finish it after Julie was done with my toes. And though this incident happened over a month ago, I felt inclined to leave this review because my nails are so thin, weak and break easily now. They have not been the same ever since. Pros: Wonderful service from Anna, Linh, and Tee (for acrylics). Would schedule with them again in a heartbeat! Appreciated the location (ample parking, close to boba), service from the ladies listed (genuinely nice, great detail work, not rough), that I could tip through Venmo, and interior decor (clean, chairs looked newer). Cons: can't put tip on the card (even though I called and confirmed with the owner that I could), and another attendant (that helped a friend) was impatient, pushy and not overall great. She expected, and asked, for a 20% tip which was off putting. I will reschedule with any of the 3 ladies noted above if I return, but wouldn't stay if I get anyone else. read more

I do recommend the new hire BEE for service he's attentive , detailed and takes his times , unsure if they were rushing him but I felt it was standard timing for 1.5hr gel pedi and gel manicure esp while paying extra for aromatherapy pedicure which is $78 alone with gel ...... I have been going to Julie for over 2 years now and highly recommend her work. Acrylics, gel or natural shes great at them all, I've cycled between all of them depending on my mood. Acrylics are not done thick and very glossy and pretty. She cares about the condition of your nails. Her pedicures are amazing and my feet always turn out flawless and last over a month! They are a nice, normal, regular nail salon. Nothing exceptional and nothing bad. The manacurists do a good job and They have my preferred brand of polish. The ambiance is a bit too bright but whatever. This is one of the places I go now because it's close by. read more

As salons re-opened, I was so excited to get back to regular self care with Julie (she's the best! Though everyone in the salon is great!) I have been consistently impressed with the level of cleanliness and the extent to which safety precautions are followed. Distance and separation between work stations, staff all in masks and face shields, hand sanitizing and temperature checks before you enter. All guests are required to wear masks. This is the most COVID-19 protected salon I've seen (and heard about - friends who have also returned for regular nail care at other salons cannot believe the lengths to which the staff here consistently keep themselves and guests safe and as protected as possible during appointments!) It was my first time visiting Princess Nails and they were willing to get me in, I did not realize it was appointment based. I wanted to get a gel-pedicure and came in on a summer Monday so it was not too crowded. I had prior gel nails that I needed to be removed and wanted to get white this time. I was super comfortable the whole time and the staff was very kind. The inside was really cute and felt more high end than other places I have been. I will say the prices are higher as I ended up paying $65 for my gel pedicure. I have gotten the same, if not better pedicures for $40. read more

They were able to take an appointment quickly, but I'm not happy with my nails $89 later. - As I was getting my nails filed, the tech literally stopped to file another employee's nail with the same drill. The fact that she did it in front of me & went right back to my nails, that's so unnerving and unsanitary. - The dip is really thick & uneven in some places, I'm worried about the cuticle line when they grow out. - For my pedicure, I don't even think the lady filed my big toe... they've got a jagged uneven look (maybe the polish job?) - The place had flies ALL over, it was really gross. I don't want to be swatting flies as I'm getting a foot massage lol. read more

I went there for manicure and pedicure 3 days ago and my nail chipped the next day so I called and requested to get new set by the owner and she really did an amazing job, but upon leaving I mentioned I paid already 3 days ago and this is correction and her response was I gave you $10 off and it still costed me $110 for a new acrylic set that doesn't include the tip. This was by far worst experience I've ever had and I will never be back! The lady doing pedicure was in rush and really didn't abide to 6mins massage, also the nail paint came off the next day (regular nailpaint on feet stays toenails stays longer).
