I absolutely love Jennifer! I have been going to Jennifer for over 2 years. I had followed Jennifer to her new location in Antioch. I am a very loyal customer. I do not trust anyone other than Jennifer to wax my brows and sugar my upper lip. The sugaring that Jennifer uses at her new location does not stick to your skin (like the other one at her old location) and it feels very light. I usually get bumps and my skin gets irritated after my lip wax (which can last over a hour or two), however; the sugar that Jennifer uses at her new location, my skin was only irritated 15 minutes and that's it. The sugar that jennifer uses at her new location made my upper lip sugaring painless. The other sugar she used at the other location would pull my skin and you can feel the thickness of the sugar. Jennifer is very personable and you can feel that you are not just a "client" to her. Every time I see Jennifer, I feel that she treats me as a friend. She conversates with me and genuinely cares about you. Jennifer's new location can be confusing (if you are not familiar to the area like myself). If you are coming from the freeway (Concord area), when you exit, you need to make a u-turn. Jennifer's location is in the same shopping center as Kohls. The name outside of the salon is Suvia Salon (I believe). When you walk into the salon (it's pretty unique), you will see a directory (like you are in a waiting area). Just got a sugar Brazilian done yesterday by Jen and I am hooked. So glad I did my research and came to see her instead of just going someplace near me and using hard wax (which I've gotten done before). Sugaring is better for you & better for the environment, lasts longer, and causes less irritation & ingrowns. Don't believe me? Go online and do your own research then. For those of you who do & don't know, getting a Brazilian is not the funnest beauty ritual we ladies (and some gents) subject ourselves too. Not only do you experience the mental torture knowing you'll have a billion and one hairs ripped from the follicle in a veeeerrry sensitive area, you also get a nervous anxiety knowing that lucky ol' you get to completely flash someone spread eagle & spread cheeks. Definitely not my cup of tea and I would guess not most others either. Jen made it as pleasant as possible and it was super fun talking to her throughout the process. Now I'm not going to lie to you and say it didn't hurt at all, because some parts did. Buuuut it hurt a hell of a lot less then soft wax and hard wax-in my opinion. The sting is totally bearable and doesn't last nearly as long as it did with other waxes I've gotten done. It was by far the easiest Brazilian I've ever had (and I've got more horror story appointments then I'd like to admit). In conclusion-Jen is the sweetest, most down to earth esthetician I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. You won't regret scheduling an appointment with her. Jennifer is AMAZING!!!! After months of going to other "main" waxing companies that offer hard wax, I finally found a place that fits my skin needs. Here's why...SUGAR! First off, it is WAY less painful. You do get a little sting but it isn't as strong as normal wax. Second, it is so much better on my skin, because traditional hard wax would cause irritation, itching, , red spots, and bumps that left me embarrassed for a week after. Not how you want to feel after droppimg $60 to have your hair ripped out by the roots so you can feel more confident! I've always wanted to try waxing because hair on certain parts of the body can make you feel not so sexy. I started to do some research on waxing and came across another method called Sugaring. I looked more into it because it actually sounded less painful than actual waxing (hard wax/soft wax). Waxing not only removes hair but also removes a layer of skin. Sugaring only removes hair, not sticking to your skin but only sticking to the hair. After all my research, I ended up wanting to try Sugaring rather than waxing. I googled places in my area that offered Sugaring and came across Jennifer. Of course I had reservations. I was nervous and scared, of course. It was my first time ever having hair removed in this way. I called her to set up an appointment and from talking with her on the phone made me feel SO much more comfortable with her. She was very friendly and made sure to let me know that there was nothing to worry about and that she would take good care of me. I just want to say, she took really good care of me. I didn't need any breaks whatsoever. She sugared my back, chest, stomach, full legs, cheeks, in between cheeks, and my gouch. She was quick, gentle, and knew what she was doing. I'm not going to say it was pain-free but it was for sure not as bad as I thought it would be.
