Have been looking for a good nail place,my Daughter schedule an appointment for me over the phone spoke with Emerald. she was accommodating and scheduled me an appointment for 5pm for jell x full set and a pedicure! Even though I arrived a few minutes late, they were very friendly and accommodating and made sure that I was happy with the set and pedicure! They communicate well and work together in a positive manner. Did I mention they are fashionistas! I just love that I didn't feel like they were talking about me,they mostly spoke English... The place is so cute! The decor is just beautiful and the walls are hand painted! The place is clean. I felt very comfortable and had a great experience. Will definitely come back to be a regular! read more

Called to schedule an appointment and they were able to see me same day. Absolutely obsessed with my nails! My nail tech brought my vision to life perfectly--the chrome we added on top was exactly what I had in mind. It's the perfect blend of sleek and stunning, and I've been getting compliments nonstop. It is always such a great vibe. Can't wait for my next set! read more

My 1st visit at this salon was 3 weeks ago. This place is clean & has a nice friendly atmosphere. I'm also glad I was able to walk in late for a power dip which takes longer because everything on your nails has to be removed to start all over again. My pedicure was really nice. I was impressed that this shop has decent prices for its location. It was my French power dip I was unhappy about. It was way too thick & my nails started lifting within a few days. From the very start I could see the dip didn't look like it covered my entire nail. Then my right ring finger nail broke somehow in the most awful, painful way. My skin grows underneath my nails. This was very painful. Daffy Duck said, "I don't like pain. It hurts." I waited until my nail completely healed before finding another salon because chemicals going into an open wound....well we could figure out. read more

If you want to receive cuts, chunky thick nails and prejudicial service go ahead and let them do your nails. I went in for a simple full set and left with thick talons and was the only African American in the establishment and every other white customer was offered a stool to set their purse on, was I? No. Did i receive a quality service? No. I got a hack job. They actually allowed a white girl to give them credit card numbers to pay for her nails, she had no card or ID read more

My go-to spot for 5+ years. Jade and her team are great- it's so easy to book an appointment via text and pay with Venmo.

Really nice quality mani and pedi. Friendly staff and ownership. I recommend with no hesitation.

I've only been here three times, but every time I leave with exactly what I wanted. I just got a new set today (the maroon ones) for fall and I'm obsessed. The service is amazing, with everyone being incredibly kind and gentle. The vibe is amazing, so comforting and welcoming. Definitely my new place. Highly highly highly recommend!! read more

I had a great first experience here today. I got the Ooh La La pedicure, and it was amazing! I also got acrylic nails, with a lot of hand placed crystals, which I rarely get and was very pleased with the service. That establishment itself is very beautiful and the owners and all of the people were very nice. I will definitely be back ! read more

I have been going here for 10 years now and have NEVER been disappointed. Great service, the owner makes you feel so welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. My gel nails last the full 2-weeks. My nails are really short, but they still do a great job with designs! (attached are some fun designs they did when I was 13-16) read more

My gel mani/pedi was awesome, will def go back. Nice people! Clean place! YAY! Love the mural on the wall!

This is the most horrible nail & spa salon I have been so far! It is my first and last time to be here. I came for pedicure and manicure. The lady doing my manicure cut the cuticles wrong and it started to bleed. While it was bleeding she wanted to work on. I told her not to touch it because I could microbe. She dropped the towel and picked it from floor and wanted to use it to continue doing the manicure using the same towel. I asked her not to use it, she went angrily to bring a new one. She later dropped a new towel too and I later realized it that she used it meanwhile I was upset for the nail that was bleeding. Long story short, the are so unprofessional that do not know how to provide a better customer service or do nails at all. Staff is angry, hard to explain them anything and more harder to understand them because they put any efforts to answer to your questions. Their behavior is like fast food delivery. In 25-30 minutes they finished both pedicure and manicure but the quality and service is horrible. read more

Nail technicians were good. Jade the owner was discourteous, snobbish, and unprofessional. While a routine of 20% tips were paid in all past visits, the owner decided to raise the base prince because the worker took longer than usual to work on my nails. It's quite outrageous. never heard of such pracitce read more

I am being generous when I give this salon 2 stars. I have come here several times and the services just are not consistent. It's a shame they have monopolized the only two nail salons in this particular area. So close to home yet so not worth the headache. The owner is very nice and her husband is great too but that is about it. I came in without any nail polish on my hands and regular nail polish on my toes. I asked for dip on my nails and a color change on my toes. It took almost an hour to do a single hand, I was burnt by the thick nail file as the lady carelessly slid it across my pinky finger, she flicked my finger every time to dust off the dip powder. My nails looked like I took a crack at it with what they sell on Amazon, absolutely horrible. When I asked for the color change on my toes she looked at me as if I insulted her! I said that is fine if there is no more time for a color change not a problem. I had not anticipated dip powder to take over an hour with no hand massage, no lotion, no cuticle nothing! Literally just dip powder and top coat. Another lady did the color change on my toes and I was done a few minutes later. It was $72 for the color change and the dip that I will not have to go to another salon further from home to remove and have my nails redone. I have never had such a horrible nail salon experience. I've had other bad experiences here and of course I prefer to go else where but on occasion I just don't like driving far but after today I think it's but doing the bare minimum and charge like they gave you what you wanted...a nail job done by a toddler. read more

I came here because a good friend had gotten me a gift certificate to cheer me up after I've been having a hard time with life lately. The gift certificate was more than going to cover the one service I was getting and there would be a remainder. However, I was pressured by staff to just give the rest to the tech and not be able to save it for another time. The tip with the entirety of the gift certificate would be 46%. Even with the tip the gift giver left specifically for tip, it was a 34% tip. The staff seemed to think this was no big deal. I was merely explaining that 34% is a great tip amount and why couldn't I keep the remainder for another visit and that asking for a 46% tip before the service is performed is very unusual. All of this was being done prior to my service being complete. I don't know about anyone else but I usually decide my tip amounts after my service depending on the quality and experience. Never negotiated or demanded. Normally, if they were approaching me very friendly, I might be like okay for exceptional service, however, it was a long back and forth with difficulties understanding and it was not a relaxing experience at all. The experience from the start made me feel very uneasy and I was not comfortable. I will not be returning and will be giving what's left of my certificate to someone else. That all being said, the quality of the service was fine, but my experience was anything but relaxing, and that is why I won't be returning or recommending. read more

Kim was horrible. You can choose other person but do not select her. He try to hurt you thru the pedicure very fast.

Can I give this place a ZERO star! They are horrible what I thought was going to be a nice gesture turned out to be a rip off. I got there 45 min before closing and the owner and husband told me they can stay open to do a mani pedi for me. The husband and wife did my nails and it turned out so messy. They chipped in less than a week I had shellac on my hands and reg pedicure. She ended up charging me $70!!!! And I gave them a generous tip because I felt bad that they stayed open to accommodate me but in reality they were doing it during normal business hours. Never again and I won't go to their other spot down the street next to Safeway! Horrible read more

Terrible place! I came here with my husband to get mani-pedis. They got us in after a 30 minute wait, but then the mani/pedis were awful! They even cut my husband's toes so badly- it wouldn't stop bleeding. They spent more time talking and laughing with each other than doing our nails. My manicure was off, with the nail shapes asymmetrical. My toes still had skin tags on the sides of the nails. They didn't even apologize for the cut toe- and it was a bad one. They gave us a discount if we paid in cash- but really? They didn't seem to care about service or quality at all. The beautiful interior can't make up for crappy quality or bloody toes. read more

After bad experiences at so many nail salons I was so happy to find this place thanks to a friend! I have only been a few times so far but each experience has been great! My gell mani lasted almost 3 weeks, and my regular pedi almost 4 weeks! My cuticles were cut properly! Staff and owners are friendly and professional. Linda did my gell mani perfectly. Worth checking this hidden gem, I am surprised at the negative reviews as I did not see or experience any of that. read more

I loved this place when Jade was present. But now that she is gone to the second location, I think the quality has gone down. I went in to have acrylics removed and the lady ripped off two bails and damaged my natural nails!!! She didn't stop even when I told her she was hurting me. Finally I asked her to remove them by soaking. Then she left. Another lady came and finally removed them properly. I'm so disappointed. I will not be returning. read more

Here's a breakdown of my experience from last month. The below was also addressed to the owner but I never received a response from her. I got a dip manicure on 10/7 and my nails started chipping 4 days later. I was on business travel from 10/8-10/12 and couldn't come in sooner. I initially made an appointment for 10/14 to get my nails fixed but I ended up getting the flu. I went in on 10/16 as they are closed on Mondays and the staff made me pay $5 dollars for getting 2 nails fixed. I don't think it's fair to pay anything when my nails chipped within less than a week. The staff was very rude staff and told me their policy is 3 days (which is the first time I'm hearing of this). I ended up paying the $5 but I refuse to go back as their quality and customer service has gone down. read more

I got my nails done(acrylics and gel), I showed a picture of the design I wanted, didn't expect it to be the same, came out better than I thought it would be, I liked it. Down thing is that it took an hour and a half ish, made an appointment for 4, sat there for about 10-15 min waiting for the lady to help me. It was my first time getting acrylics so I didn't know how long it would take but 1.5 hrs was not what I expected. The lady is really nice and I love her, but maybe next time I'll just something simple so it wouldn't take too long. read more

Paid $50 including $10 tip for a nail CLEANING, no polish. I was told I was paying for a mani/pedi without the polish... Yesterday was my 2nd time coming here since moving to Danville. I was rewarding my little one for having such a great week at school. She specifically wanted to come to Blackhawk Nails as she remembered Cathy did such a great job last time with her cupcake & butterfly design. I took my chances and did a walk in on a Friday afternoon, as we were finishing up on a playdate next door at Yersen's Gelato. Wow, the salon was packed. Jade said she could take my daughter. Then as luck would have it, one of her clients was running late, so she was able to squeeze in a mani/pedi for me too. Clients just kept coming in, and some even were asked to come back later as they were just so busy. Jade makes an effort to get to know her clients by name. She even said sometimes she remembers her clients colors. Very impressive! This is a great salon to go to if you need a mani/pedi, get in and out. Jade does a great mani and nail designs. Cindy did my pedi and was gentle as she could see I was ticklish. Will definitely be back for regular mani/pedis as its close to home. Next time, I'll come during the day when it's not so busy. P.S. If you pay cash, you get a little discount. read more

Great customer service . I love the way my nails looks great job .And I definitely come back again . Thank you for your friendly service .

Great service especially if you are a reoccurring customer. I go there mostly for the convenience and the fact it's open on weekends.

Horrible customer service. I have been to 2-3 nail salons in the area and they are all nice. Was running an errand nearby so I went here instead of my usual place. First, the pedicurist was very rude and kept on pushing and pulling my foot then got angry because I wasn't apparently "standing up" to help her do her task (? Language problem) and acted really rude and unprofessionally when I said having a manicure at the same time I couldn't really "stand up!" It lasted shorter than usual too. Next the person at checkout almost charged me for a more expensive service in error. And I thought I was going to have a simply nice relaxing Mani-Pedi. Needless to say I left ZERO tip and never going to go here again. Stay away! Especially since there are so many nicer options nearby with better services for the same price or less. read more

Terrible experience. The nail tech so rude, shouldn't be working there if you aren't going to be friendly. Got the gel nails and polish all over my cuticles. First and last time going there. Absolutely worse experience! read more

I am new to the area (I just moved from Orange County) and I needed to find a good nail salon in the area. This isn't it. First, pricing here is reasonable. I always get a gel polish change on my hands and feet ($21 for hands $29 for feet for a total of $51). As soon as I got home I noticed the gel had wrinkled up which is normally the result of using thinned out gel polish (I've seen places, not necessarily this one, add acetone to make the gel last longer). But i called and they told me to come in and they would fix it, which was an inconvenience but i appreciated and went back in. I also noticed when I got home instead of my $51 charge (with $5 tip totaling $56) there was a $69 charge. So I went in and asked how they could charge me $69 when I signed for a $56 charge. She told me the lady that did my nails told her I asked for a manicure so she went back in a charged my card more. First of all, I did not ask for a manicure and what they did was a poor excuse for a manicure if I did get one, and second how is it okay to go back and charge someone's card more than what they signed for without telling them? I called the bank and they said it was clearly a fraudulent charge since I signed and they gave me my money back but trust me this place is not worth the hassle. I will not be returning. As far as technique goes, not the best either. I like when places take their time soaking off your gel but they put on the tin foil, took it off less than a minute later, and started scraping and filing away until my nails hurt. Don't let the "Blackhawk" name fool you. I'm sure there's better places that won't fraudulently charge your card you could go to. read more

Positives: This nail salon is amazingly nice if you compare it what it was before. They have made it much more current and cleaner. The nail technician, Hollie, was very sweet and did a great job. That is where the positives end. The staff is very unprofessional. The woman who did my manicure (not Hollie, don't know her name) who was angry about a tipping situation argued with other techs and the salon owner and left me hanging. When she returned her attention to my hands she took her anger out on my nails...lots of cut cuticles!! The owner has her sweet little daughter working as a receptionist who doesn't do a great job checking people in. I waited twenty minutes before being seated. What's the point of an appointment?? I am not impressed and will continue going to my other two places. read more

Convenient location and the interior has the most beautiful murals, which I think the owner painted. Very pretty. Unfortunately, the lady doing my manicure was chatting with another nail tech and ended up being a little too rough with the cuticle pusher. Then when she was trimming my cuticles, she cut my cuticle and it bled. Ugg. My french manicure only lasted 2 days before it was coming off. I went in for a polish change at day 5 and was told to do Shelac if I wanted my manicure to last. Well, I've had french manicures that lasted more than 2 days before. This is not the place for me. read more

Well... I went with a family member, and I got a gel and she got a dip powder. I ended up waiting 45 minutes just to be seated. They did ok with my gel but it stayed on for only two weeks. They did hers terrible. They cut it down to the bone, and it felt rough. When they did my pedicure it got infected ( gross, I know.) They charged us 150$ for it. Also they kept talking to each other about people, very rude. When we said we didn't like it, they told us to call the owner. We did but she didn't answer, when we went back to ask what happened, they said leave a voice mail. Overall they were rude, and unprofessional. read more

I love this new nail salon! I stumbled upon this place when I was getting my shopping done and noticed the Grand Opening Sign. Mani and Pedi for $30? Sure, why not?! I love me some good deals! I got a very light pink color for my fingernails since I can't have crazy nail polish for school and I, of course, got something bold for my toes--Shattered dark and light purple from OPI. I loved it! The ladies were extremely nice and wonderful. I love how clean it is! I would def come back here again. read more
