Called in the morning for a mid day appointment, Booked 2 appointments for me and my daughter at 12:30. First of all there was a place to park on a weekday which is a plus, we arrived and and at that time no one else was there. We had the place to ourselves, which was very nice. Other customers did arrive for their appointments later in the hour. The place is light and had a tv playing caking making in the background (kind of mesmerizing), but definitely calm and chill. Thuy the owner did my powder dip and gel pedi and I was very happy with my nails. I had a not so great experience with my last place and I showed her a picture of what I'd like my nails short and square-ish. My daughter went for a mani/pedi and said her massage part of the pedi was really great! her nails look great and she was very happy. We appreciate that it's close to home and how nice everyone was during our services. I looked at a ton of reviews of different places and I've lived in the area for awhile, been to a few nail salons in this area. Seen the ups and downs of some of what were my favorite places, making it hard when I felt it was time to move along. But after this appointment I will be back again, Thuy was very nice and did a great job.This may not the cheapest nail place I've been too, but I'm feeling you get what you pay for and I'd like to have my nails look nice when I get them done. note about older reviews:This owner told me she bought the place around 5 years ago from the previous owner who was here for a long time, so if you came here prior you might find it a different place now. read more

I hate leaving bad reviews, but I'm disappointed I tried this place because my toes came out terrible. They had no prices or lists of pedicures. They scrubbed each heel for 5 seconds with a used pumice stone. (Not joking) The paint was uneven and left all over my skin. The ladies were nice besides the service. read more

As soon as I stepped in, the ladies asked me to pick a color, which I appreciate because I always want that part taken care of. I was then sat down in the chair for a pedicure and let me tell you, my cuticles needed a lot of help. Fortunately the lady who did my toes love to get my feet all nice and cleaned up and did a wonderful job doing so. We conversed and the vibes were immaculate here. Ok, I had no idea how totally pro these Yi's are. They made these lashes way up there so they don't bothersome to wear comfortably after washes and sleeps days afterwards. And these lashes still look gorgeous. Not much falling apart. I get so much compliments from other women on my social media, how natural they seem. They are follow my natural eye line and lash line. My nails are still on fleek (hah!) do people still even say that nowadays but their thickness feel like natural nails, not bumpy unlike some shops I've had in the past. I booked an appt for myself & a friend. I specifically booked this appt 4 days in advance & said what services I needed for each person - 1mani/pedi & 1 acrylic/pedi. I asked for same time appts & services - I was told no problem. We arrived on time but were kept waiting. I was taken first but my friend was kept waiting for 45 minutes. The tech doing my pedi handled me in a rough manner, she was not careful & pulled on my toes/feet. She did not understand my needs despite repeated attempts to communicate. It was more than the language barrier - it was a lack of care. My friend waited 50 mins for her services Every time we tried to communicate / ask when my friend would be begin her services we were dismissed - the end result was I got a subpar pedicure & my friend did not get the acrylics done bc they delayed the timing so much. Communication was poor, attitude was worse and the actual service was not even basic. I will not be returning. read more

This is a great nail salon! I love coming and getting a pedicure and a powder dip manicure. Thuy and the other staff are kind, professional, and talented. I am new to getting powder dip nails and I can't believe how well they hold up! The salon is clean, welcoming, and calm. There is a parking lot available as well. This is my favorite place to get a pedicure. They are so thorough and really give you personalized attention. The price is great, I hesitate to say that because I don't want them to raise it. Came here for a french gel mani and regular pedi. Service overall was fine for the french gel mani but I'm not sure if I would come back again. I selected colors that kept coming up as out of stock. A tad annoying that I had to keep picking a different color. The lady who did my pedi, I had to ask her to cut my cuticles!?! I guess she thought she could skip it bc she pushed my cuticles and used a tool to scrape the dead skin. She was clearly going to skip it if I didn't follow-up. When I came home, I took a closer look and my paint job was subpar as the sides of my toes were not painted (she didn't paint the entire toe nails and only painted where visible if that makes sense) and paint was on my skin towards the front of my toes which should have been cleaned. read more

I love this place the ladies are kind and do a fantastic job they really care about the clients. This is by far the best place in the area and they have 3000 colors to pick from i love being able to have so many options and the colors are all so beautiful too. I was not optimistic when I went here because I have had a string of either bad luck at nail salons or salons have really lowered the bar on quality (ironically, while raising the cost of service.) I am absolutely thrilled about finding this location. The salon is small and a staff of three people, but I love the quaint coziness and the thriving foliage and overall positive vibe. Amy was awesome, talented, experienced, professional, but personable and even recommended a new style that I absolutely love. She was equally happy for me as I was about my nails. I absolutely love this place and the fact they've been in business for 30+ years says a lot. It is small but centrally located in Danville and definitely a treasure. We had someone recommend this place to us for its affordability. My boyfriend's mom got her mani and pedi here for $50. I got my acrylic nail done for $50. So overall I didn't think it was a bad price at all. We booked an appointment and they got to us right away. The reason I'm knocking this place by a star was because the nail technician made my nails bleed in four different places. Overall I'm really satisfied and would come back. I love the almond white nails I got. The length and shape of it was perfect! Minus the bleeding. read more

The service was ok, but they were not clear on their pricing. The pricing was not displayed on the wall and we were not given a price list of options to select from. The pricing on yelp listed is way out of date and it was about 4x or more that price. We were shocked when a $100 bill came for a mani/pedi for my mom (included gel polish), and $90 for me for a pedicure ($60) and a princess mani/pedi for my daughter ($30). In addition the place smelled really bad of chemicals.... For the prices we paid, it should have been more like a spa vs this hole in the wall salon. I'd rather go back to Lavender Dreams in Walnut Creek at this price. read more

I called on a holiday because my nails really needed some work (broke a couple nails) and my usual place was closed. Thankfully they were open on 4th of July and I snatched an appointment for 1pm, but I wasn't seen until 1:30. There were 2 ladies working with their clients and when I was finally seen and sat down, the towel used for the previous person was still there on the working area completely soaked and dirty and it was never changed out. I came in for a dip powder manicure on my natural nails which I always get and realized that their process was completely different. After the dipping, she then grabbed a liquid nail polish of the same color and applied it to my nails using a makeup sponge, which in my opinion defeated the purpose of nail dip? I asked what that was for and she said "sometimes with powder, the color doesn't stay on." And it got me wondering if it was cheap powder or maybe we needed to do another coat. Because of that, it caused my nails to look super thick, it bubbled, and there were now streaks seen. The photos don't really show it but in the light, you can definitely see the strokes and unevenness of it all. I also had to place my hands in front of a small heater which I've never done in any location for dip powder. My cuticles were never cleaned and I was cut in 3 places with the nail drill and the excessive filing (which still came out uneven). The powder was BARELY brushed off my hands and she used lotion to massage my hands. Because the powder wasn't brushed off, the lotion caused a lot of friction and it felt like lotion and sand mixed together being pressed on to my skin. It wasn't comfortable or pleasant at all. The working area was also really small, cluttered, unorganized and just messy/dirty and didn't feel comforting. I wouldn't recommend. read more

This is the perfect nail salon! They do everything and can design almost any picture you bring to them! The girls are so sweet and the atmosphere is so relaxing. The salon is so clean and the prices and so reasonable. If you have a bug group make an appointment, they have a limited amount of chairs. I have never once felt rushed out of the chair or my appointment no matter how busy the salon is and all of their customers are so kind! There is an endless amount of color choices no matter what kind of mani/pedi you're getting( traditional, gel, dip, acrylic etc). Once I found this salon there is no comparison, I will be coming here and telling everyone about. And they give student discounts with a student ID. There's also a parking lot. Great place! i love this salon!! The staff were very friendly and the environment was relaxing. The two ladies put a lot of care into our nails. The prices were also very reasonable ($75 for the black and $70 for the blue, base price was $55). They also gave us water bottles! Overall will come again for my next nails :) read more

I consistently schedule appointments, yet I'm frequently seen behind schedule and then hurried through. You're familiar with the sensation when the drill heats up your nail due to the rapidity? That's the situation. Adding to that, I'm often the only person of color in a room of white women who appear to receive more favorable treatment. I suspect not all of them had appointments either, but I've given it multiple attempts. It's time to move on to the next option. read more

I've been going here for a long time but the experience has gotten worse and worse. They stack up appointments, cancel services right after you show up, and rush because they try to squeeze to many people in. 3 times I had an appointment, showed up and there was such a queue backed up I didn't proceed with appointment. Today, mid-pedicure (between trimming and painting) they leave me with a wet cold towel on my feet for 15 minutes so they could squeeze in another customer before returning to paint my nails. I ended up leaving since it seemed like I'd be waiting forever and had already been sitting in the chair for over an hour for a basic pedi. Super disappointing. They also raised dip prices to $55 mid appointment and didn't tell us. We called back to see what they charge for gel and they quote $50. I would not go to this place. read more

New to the area and looking for a new nail spot. Walked into this place to get one broken nail fixed, discuss who's best at doing long nails and pricing. The owner who's bought the business 2 yrs ago tells me she has over 2k good reviews of social media and does great work. Well...First of all I spend a long time in Salon while I have a baby at home because the owner didn't want to say no to any walk ins. Second, all my gels were gone just 2 days after I spend 45 bucks on them. Why? Because the lady who was working on my nails was in hurry to check in another costumer and not lose even a penny. It was the first time something like this happened to my nails and I am very very disappointed at this Nail salon. I do not recommend this place to anybody. I made a spontaneous same day appointment and Annie was able to accommodate me very quick. Both her and the other lady were lovely throughout my appointment. They were helpful in figuring out which color I wanted and Annie did a beautiful job with my nails! She was very attentive throughout and so kind. This is exactly what I had wanted and the best I've ever had my nails done! I would definitely recommend and will come back! While I am extremely sympathetic to her struggles and loss of her grandparent, she came back at my review very intensely and said "shame on you" multiple times to me. As I had stated in my initial review, if I heard an update that the business was open, I would have changed my review. However as a client, I cannot know what is happening in this business owners life, and it seems like the professional and respectful choice is to re-record your business voicemail telling people you are taking a break, so your clients don't continually waste their time. Now because of this intense and rude response years later, I stand by my one star review instead of changing it, because I do not believe the client is responsible for knowing what losses are going on in the owners life, nor do they deserve a mean retort years later for information they have no way to know. Her response was very unprofessional and as I had said before, I would've changed my review to a positive one and been a client again, but not after this exchange. My father passed away during this time period too, right before my wedding actually, and we're also currently in the middle of COVID where she has no idea who is currently sick or who I've lost in my life, so while it's true you don't know what's going on in someone's life, that doesn't give a business owner reason to shame a client for the owner not updating their business information and the client responding based on their current experience. This is not a personal relationship and it's unprofessional and unkind to shame a client when you also have no idea the circumstances in the other persons life. Very hypocritical. I hope she can proceed more professionally again in the future. She was very talented, but having drama with someone who is offering a service is not worth it to me as a client, just to have nice nails. There was some miscommunication with my nail tech about the base color--she used a pink builder gel underneath, which affected the nude shade I wanted on top. I'm not really a pink person, and even though I tried to explain that, there was some confusion (language barrier can occasionally be an issue here). I ended up leaving with nails I wasn't happy with. That said--what really matters is how it was handled. I reached out to the owner, Miko, via Instagram, and she was incredibly kind, responsive, and accommodating. She apologized, invited me back, and offered to either change the color or redo the entire set if needed. We ultimately redid the full set, and I really appreciated how seriously she took my concerns and how smoothly everything was resolved. I've also been seeing Zaya for months now, and she does an absolutely gorgeous job every time--plus she's just the sweetest. Even with that one hiccup, I still highly recommend this place. The quality, durability, and customer care make it worth the price, and the way they handled the situation honestly made me trust them even more. I'm a loyal customer and will absolutely continue coming back.

There was barely any gel to remove -- a simple hand file would've done the job without damaging my nails. Instead, the overuse of the bur left my nails feeling thin. The curing process was rushed too. She kept switching my hands mid-cycle before the polish could properly set. And the "massage"? It lasted as long as it takes me to put lotion on before work -- basically nonexistent. For the price they charge, the service should last more than a couple of days and feel at least somewhat relaxing. Unfortunately, it was neither. I do NOT recommend this place.
