CT warm lobster roll on toasted butter bun with fries. Cole slaw side dish

By the sea, by the beautiful sea. Kelly's Sea Level is not on the water but with the nice tent covered outdoor dining patio who cares. The "sea" refers to their many Sea Level food options. The outdoor patio had 5 tables set up as fours but could easily fit 6 people. There was one table with umbrella outside the front door entrance. News of a good lobster roll here has made it a destination I had to visit. The all "meat" Connecticut Lobster Roll at $27.95 in warm butter on a new England buttered roll is by far the best I've had in Westchester County. Nice big chunks of lobster dressed in butter, not drenched so that the toasted roll stayed in tack. The item and price are listed on the printed menu. None of that BS, Market price crap so many restaurants add to the menu for Lobster rolls. I can't wait to return for the Maine Lobster roll (cold with mayo and old bay seasoning). My first time won't be my last, lots of reasonably priced appetizers, drinks, entrees and desserts I want to go back to. Bloody Mary's, meatloaf sandwich with gravy and melted Swiss plus take out Carrot Cake made for a very nice Father's Day lunch celebration. All desserts were $6 or less. Where are you going for that? I've paid upwards of $12 for Carrot cake that was inferior to the slices we took home. I don't know if it's made in house but either way it was a nice slice and good.

Kelly's Sea Level is a great little spot! An Irish-style pub, essentially in the basement of an older home of a mostly residential area in Rye. It took a little while for food to come, but when it did arrive everything was hot and delicious! Burgers were good but next time I'm going for the lobster roll! Great outdoor seating area, bar, and limited dining room seating. This is great place to come whether it's a warm spring day or snowy winter night. Side note: Everyone was super friendly in the restaurant. It's definitely a neighborhood place; several fellow patrons initiated conversations with us. It was great!

We got lucky with no wait for a table for 4, prime dinner time on a Friday night. The hostess was super friendly and so was everyone else after that. Honestly so blown away by how friendly all the staff were. We were checked on multiple times and our main waiter was just awesome. On to the more important things - the food. Wow. The menu is not overwhelmingly large and truly has something for everyone. Pizzas, sandwiches, pasta, and seafood. Bonus: the mac and cheese on the kids menu is NOT kraft mac and cheese. We had grilled cheese, mac and cheese, mushroom pizza and fish tacos and wow. Not only did the food come out fast but it was delicious and portions were huge. I was so impressed with this place. The atmosphere and decor are so fun and "cool" and it was the perfect place to grab a bite on our 3 hour driver. Wish we lived closer but the next road trip we're on, I'm definitely finding a way to come back here.

Ordered: Crispy artichokes ($15)- these were fried and tasty with a creamy yogurt sauce. Nothing crazy or exotic flavor wise, but enjoyable. Polenta bites ($12)- I really enjoyed these! They were a little salty, a little smoky (bacon) and a little sweet (honey). I will say that I strongly recommend Village Social either update their menu or change the toppings, as these polenta bites were topped with crispy bacon but the menu did not indicate this. Vegetarians in our group didn't realize this dish wasn't vegetarian. Chicken Milanese ($28)- the portion was very generous! It came with a large chicken breast and I requested to change the salad on top to Caesar. I appreciated their willingness to modify the order. All in all, I'd recommend checking out Village Social the next time you're looking for a dinner spot in the area.

The soup was delicious and isn't on the regular menu but instead a special item. We tried the Cuban sandwich and the Steak sandwich both with the sweet potato fries. The sandwiches and fries were delicious. The star of the show was the beer battered pickles. OMG...so good. This place is found in a cute little neighborhood. The bar looked like it was full of regulars. The staff were very friendly. This hidden gem is a must try!

Place was packed to the rafters, which for me is always a good sign . Our waiters were Beth and Ashley . For me they were absolutely stellar in every way possible one could want from a service staff especially when the place is packed . They're were the All stars in my book . As for the food , I had the fried chicken sandwich and I was not disappointed . Absolutely delicious. My first time having fried pickles and I am hooked . Collard greens delicious . Fried calamari cooked to perfection. My old-fashioned drink was enjoyable . If I'm knit picking, I would say it could've been a little more balanced, but again, not disappointed. Good food, great ambience and the place just had a very welcoming and warm feeling what more could a customer want? This is definitely a place I'll be returning too and I strongly recommend anyone to give them a try and see for yourself. Restaurants are such a tough business, but this place gets it and they deserve all the success that may comes their way.

Once again visiting Westchester for Thanksgiving and once again trying one of the local restaurants…read moreon Thanksgiving Eve. This time, we came to Rye Grill & Bar. They set us up in a large private room on the second floor. It was a spacious and comfortable setting, big enough to give the kids space to run around and quiet enough to let the adults hear each other talk. Our server quickly took our drink orders, then we settled in and perused the classic American menu. For appetizers we had chicken wings, potato skins, and meatballs. All of them were great, but the real standouts were the entrees. I had a blackened monkfish special. It was truly a gem of a dish. The monkfish was nice and light. It paired beautifully with the mango salsa, sautéed spinach and jasmine rice. If they can reliably source the fish, I'd recommend that they make it a permanent part of the menu. Overall I highly recommend Rye Grill & Bar. 5/5

Service was not exactly adequate…read more Lighting was dim as well. Seats were hard as heck wood and mighty uncomfortable The food was--overall, mehhh First the potato skins were minuscule, Lilliputian and almost not even big enough to be considered bite sized The Caesar salad was...hmmmm, Ho-hum with fresh and crisp greens, ample if not generous Parmesan and tasty albeit stingy portion chicken. I tried the steak tacos and this was a fumble. Bland steak, miserly portions and soggy soft shell. The raviolis were a tad undercooked but really tasty. The sauce had a hair too much red wine but the taste as still very good and the portion rather admirable. I'd order it again. The Apple blossom desert was amazing. Dough was slightly and pleasantly sweet and the apple was caramelized and tender. So.... Food was a solid 3-4 The service a gentleman's C in or 3 The comfort and ambiance a 2

Steak lacked flavor, you had To "saw" through the filet, it was hands down one of the worst meals put on table. Not only did it come back worse than before.. we attempted to suck it up and at least use their house sauce.. which made things even worse. Awesome. Onward. We asked for check and instead of waiter asking the manager to make things right- they through in a to-go box and charged us for everything. Classy joint. I'd rather spend 315 bucks at the local drive thru. Save your money and time and ditch this place for the 2nd place you're thinking of heading to.
