[[HIGHLIGHT]]Love this place - perfect setup[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is the kind of place that people say to themselves, "how did I find this place?" A house smack dab in the middle of a neighborhood[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You walk into this wonderful dimly lit spot and nuzzle up the bar where all of the patrons are having a good time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pretty loud friendly group all interacting together and with the bar staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everyone made is feel like we've been regulars for years. Now add into this beautiful dated working mans bar that it serves amazing food. Looks like two specialties are seafood and burgers. We had a big lobster roll and a great cod sandwich. Delicious, prepared quickly, fresh, and decently priced. Throw in tubs of ice cold beers behind the bar and you have a real winner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Kelly's please never change. Great spot[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Thanks

By the sea, by the beautiful sea. Kelly's Sea Level is not on the water but with the nice tent covered outdoor dining patio who cares. The "sea" refers to their many Sea Level food options. The outdoor patio had 5 tables set up as fours but could easily fit 6 people. There was one table with umbrella outside the front door entrance. News of a good lobster roll here has made it a destination I had to visit. The all "meat" Connecticut Lobster Roll at $27.95 in warm butter on a new England buttered roll is by far the best I've had in Westchester County. Nice big chunks of lobster dressed in butter, not drenched so that the toasted roll stayed in tack. The item and price are listed on the printed menu. None of that BS, Market price crap so many restaurants add to the menu for Lobster rolls. I can't wait to return for the Maine Lobster roll (cold with mayo and old bay seasoning). My first time won't be my last, lots of reasonably priced appetizers, drinks, entrees and desserts I want to go back to. Bloody Mary's, meatloaf sandwich with gravy and melted Swiss plus take out Carrot Cake made for a very nice Father's Day lunch celebration. All desserts were $6 or less. Where are you going for that? I've paid upwards of $12 for Carrot cake that was inferior to the slices we took home. I don't know if it's made in house but either way it was a nice slice and good.

Kelly's Sea Level is a great little spot! An Irish-style pub, essentially in the basement of an older home of a mostly residential area in Rye. It took a little while for food to come, but when it did arrive everything was hot and delicious! Burgers were good but next time I'm going for the lobster roll! Great outdoor seating area, bar, and limited dining room seating. This is great place to come whether it's a warm spring day or snowy winter night. Side note: Everyone was super friendly in the restaurant. It's definitely a neighborhood place; several fellow patrons initiated conversations with us. It was great!

Yelp has the closing time wrong, they are open until 11pm if not later everyday depending on day of the week.

My dad thought nothing of it. Went and walked across the street didn't even get all the way across when he was stopped and by them and asked how much change he received back. My dad pulled the $3 out of his pocket and said $3 which were in front of a $20 bill. The guy said no I gave you that $20 as he reached to try to grab it out of his hand, my dad pulled back and said no technically you owe me $10 in which the guy had a $10 bill in his hand so he knew that he scammed him for $10 and gave the incorrect change.. the guy the. Proceeded to then "ban him" from coming back in even though it was HIS fault, and HE gave back the wrong amount of change instead of taking accountability for his mistake. On top of the awful service - the lobster roll was awful it was rubbery and tasteless. Now don't get us wrong, he has had a couple really good lobster rolls from lobster bin. But the service and the bad lobster roll and being banned for a mistake that was made by the worker is absolutely shameless and unacceptable!!

In this situation, strong management is a must in order to bridge the knowledge and experience gap. I arrived to the restaurant with a tinge of sadness because this place is the former Seaside Johnies restaurant run by John Ambrose. John also ran the Tiki bar and he was a long time friend. His sudden passing a few years ago was a shock as he was a great guy and restaurant fixture in Westchester for over 40 years- including the Crab Shanty. The setting at Barley Beach House needs lots of help. The patio can use a solid cleaning and Placemats on the tired tables would be a good start. Luckily the weather was ideal- cool with a nice breeze so our patience was in good supply. It took a very long time for drinks and food to arrive. The table behind us arrived after us and actually finished their meal before we received our entrees. A comp round if drinks was sent over but that was also late. The young server tried but the orders got mixed up by the paper orders going into the kitchen.....Something like that. The food was just ok but if service and timing was better it would have been fine. The Service charge was automatically added for our 6 diners..... Having worked in restaurants as a teenager it was a reminder of what happens when proper management is lacking. A manager never stopped by to apologize or assist. The least you can do is to overstaff seasonal places to assuage your green team. RIP John A.

We had unsweetened iced teas, and the kids' seltzer came in a kid-sized cup. After ordering, we were served cornbread sticks, which were really good and a hit with my son. Elwood also brought crayons and paper for him, which was a thoughtful touch. We started with the gator nuggets and frickles. The gator nuggets were our favorite appetizer. The frickles were good, but the batter was fairly thick, which made the pickle flavor a little subtle. For my entrée, I had the fried chicken with collard greens and mac and cheese. The chicken was nicely crispy and came with four pieces, though it was a little overcooked for my taste. The collard greens were on the sweet side, and the mac and cheese could have used a bit more flavor. The highlight of our visit was the service. Elwood was friendly, attentive, and struck the perfect balance of checking in without being overbearing. Overall, the food was a bit mixed for us, but the excellent service, family-friendly touches, and pleasant outdoor seating made for an enjoyable experience. We'll be back to try some of the other menu items.
