I'm giving two stars, only because the lady who did my nails, Kim, was nice, but I really don't think she's used to doing the Dipping Powder? I was happy to come here, as my usual Nails spa wasn't available at any of the times I was this week. This place has so many 5 stars, that I thought I'd be in good hands. Not at all what was expected. The work on my nails was subpar. The Tech. used a Dremel to file previous Dip Powder off my nail, after the remover, and she bumped (felt like a burn) my skin about three times. Toward the middle of the process, she got liquid (used to hold the Dipping Powder) sloshed all over at least three of my fingers. Then Dip Powder was left on that liquid on my fingers (not the nails) and a piece of the technicians blue glove was stuck like glue to my finger. It was still stuck as I left and had to use tweezers at home to pick off the piece of glove. The only thing I did like was Kim, the technician, was nice enough and the music was soothing. I guess you should ask for Kelly, or the other Tech who people have raved about, because I didn't get what I wanted from here, and unfortunately will not be back. Oh, and I tipped 18%. Normally I tip no lower than 20%. I told my friend about this and she said she wouldn't have tipped at all based on how my hands look. I just won't be back. Going to stick to my Salon and if they can't get me in, I'll wait or go to one of the oth 4.5 star salons in Roseville. read more

Honestly breaks my heart to write this but I was a loyal customer of 9years and I think owning a business has made Kellys customer skills terrible. Before she owned her shop she was literally the sweetest person ever. Now all I get is attitude and her frustrations taken out on. She does not appreciate loyal customers what so ever. I've sat in her chair and watch her lie my last straw was when she "gave" my water bottle away after I left I texted her I did. What would of been such a problem to set it aside for me when I came back in? I ended not coming in for a month or so my grandma passed and she did not care. The amount of business I've brought to her over the years I couldn't believe she didn't offer me anything for my loss. This isn't how you do business or treat customers . Tuan is great and I truly miss him that's it. Just be aware ladies I know if your like me you like to build a relationship with people who do services for you. But again your just business or a dollar sign to her she does not value loyal customers what so ever. I already sent a letter to better business bureau too, she will learn to not treat people like this and what an apology could of done for her and her business reputation. I'm giving this review solely on the nail tech I received. I couldn't catch her name but the nail tech I had was an older Vietnamese lady. I can tell she was having a rough, maybe even tiring day, granted I was squeezed in at the end of the day. However, I didn't appreciate how she rough handled my hands and complained about things in Vietnamese. I understood every word she said but of course, she didn't know that. The worst part of it all, she didn't give me what I wanted. I can tolerate a person having a bad day, but at the end of it all, my nails just didn't look the way I wanted it to based on the picture that I showed. But I also understood that it couldn't be exactly like it because I didn't ask for acrylics due to my job. But let the pictures speak for themselves. I really did not enjoy my experience here. I asked for a simple almond shaped nails for homecoming. She placed too much acrylic powder and after she took the brush and wiped down my finger with the ACRYLIC LIQUID and left my finger sticky with the extra acrylic powder all over my finger. She also left acrylic under my nails and I had to scrape it off later. When she was filing my nails, the electric filer was DIGGING into my skin and it hurt so bad. My nails were left so thick and it looks like they are lifting off my nails. Not happy at all. read more

I have been to Kelly's Nails twice and both times have been absolutely wonderful experiences. The staff are all so kind and pay attention to detail. I came in at the end of the day without an appointment and they were able to squeeze a full set and a pedi in, and never once made me feel rushed. I've had my nails done by a few different technicians and each one has always been so attentive and made sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. I prefer powder set and it's so nice to come to place that doesn't huff and puff when I ask for powder or try to force me to get a gel set instead. I'm so impressed! Someone at work recommended I try this place for my next manicure, and since it's right next to home, I decided to give it a shot. Tia did my nails, and I absolutely love them! I didn't even have to ask her to apply a fake tip on one of my thumbs, which I had stress-chewed down much lower than the other 9. She just new the length needed to be added and took care of it. She meticulously finished my dip manicure, and asked if I wanted a design as well. I'm skeptical of nail designs from unknown salons, as it's hard to predict exactly what you'll get, but I told her I like flowers and asked her to do which ever design was her favorite, and was not disappointed! My mother in law has been going there consistently for quite some time now, she also tips and has been supportive to one of the employees there. Contributed more in tips, due to Covid-19 and her understanding of their loss of wages. We planned a girls day, I was potentially exposed to Covid-19 and had to be quarantined immediately. Which in consequence my mother in law had to unfortunately cancel our appointment. Kelly, did not reciprocate the same consideration nor concern towards my mother in law. Instead she was rediculed. She no longer feels comfortable going to Kelly's. Once a place she considered home away from home.. Where she paid generously for self care. I brought my 1 year old daughter with me to the salon for the first time thinking it would be easy, but nope! She just wanted to roam around the salon and the owner & workers were very okay with that! In fact, the receptionist played with my daughter while I was able to comfortably continue to get my nails done.
