It looks great but it really isn't all up to par

Don't not recommend, over priced and the food IS NOT GOOD! It's missing flavor and love. I'd probably never go back.

I was at Park Meadows Mall with Hubs one of the afternoons in June 2011. Hubs was starving and so do I. We opt to eat in the Dining Area aka The Food Court located inside this mall. That day, I order from the Kelly's Cajun & Grill. I opt for a Shrimp Dish. If I am not mistaken the Shrimp dish is called Shrimp Etouffee. I opt for the Combo. There are many other options from their MENU, such as Bourbon Chicken Combo. They also offer, Fish, Shrimp, Steak and other Chicken dishes to name a few. 2.5 STARS for the FOOD, 3 STARS for the Portion of the Food. All in all, from what I get from the order I request is A-OK since its Shrimp, which comes along with Fried Rice and Fried Crab Rangoon aka Wontons. The Shrimp Etouffee is slightly spicy and have vegetables in the Etouffee. My orders comes with a Drink aka SODA. The portion they gave me was HUGE. Luckily I managed to finish it all since I was starving.. Hehehe ;) Nothing fancy nothing spectacular. What do you expect from a Food Court, right? Well if you go to SINGAPORE, that would definitely be different. While googling around, managed to find that Kelly's Cajun Grill is a chain eatery and they even have their own facebook page.

    Bourbon chicken with spicy shrimp!!

False advertising? They claim Cajun, but it's more Chinese than anything. But HUGE servings! But the bad news stops there! Oh my gosh! The seasonings are fabulous and I especially loved the Bourbon Chicken and spicy shrimp on top of lo mein noodles. Talk about GENEROUS portions!!! I cannot eat the whole box of deliciousness by myself, so lunch for tomorrow it is. :-) C'mon folks, stop slamming the place just because it's in a food court. Two adults can eat heartily with fountain drinks for 20 bucks! Seriously. If you are going to be snobby, go walk a little farther to eat at PF Changs or Cheesecake Factory. For foodcourt dining, I am perfectly happy to grab a bite here.

Not much of a Cajun, but a competition run for the Panda Express down the aisle! Would rather dine here than Express because let's know that there are 5773 more locations, honey. Good Chinese scoop- definitely not a Cajun of the selection lacking of lobster. But there are mainly chow mein, Teriyaki Chicken, Veggies, rice etc., and of course a friendly staff who hands out lots of tasty samples. I can say they've done that for a while. They hand out samples, and that's a plus!!! Good people at the counter, good food. But not a CAJUN!

Breaded fish and steamed veggies. See how much food they put in each place?
    Josh H.

I've eaten many times at this location. Food is exceptional. It's true that their name is a bit misleading, most of the items offered are typical of a Chinese food place. But the quality is great. Today I ordered the two-entrée plate, I ordered half portion of fried rice and half portion of lo-main noodles. For my entrees I ordered the breaded fish and steamed veggies. How did they do? Rice is well seasoned, not dry and the sweet peas and carrots still keep a little crunch making the dish very enjoyable. The noodles are by nature greasy but this ones, less greasy than usual, therefore if I may say, more healthier. When it comes to the entrée items, the fish pieces are big, well seasoned, you can taste the fish but without the fishy natural flavor, meaning, the seasonings are well balanced. Each piece is seasoned individually and not "in-mass", therefore all pieces are correctly coded with all the ingredients and seasonings. And the veggies, they can be a meal by itself. Crunchy, well cooked, balanced seasonings. They are so yummy that I did eat the veggies and didn't stop until they were gone. When they were serving my plate, to the server's eye there was not enough food in my plate and she added an extra piece of fish. I couldn't be more thrilled than that. In regards the customer service, the guy that starts your order, so attentive and kind with everyone, even though there was a line as usual. Every person that touches your plate in adding your entrees is very kind and smiley. Same thing with the cashier. Even though this is a very fast-paced restaurant, they don't rush you or are rude to you ever. One more thing I like about them is that you can see the cooks working. Other places put them in the back and God knows what happens there. This one is different so you have the confidence that your meal is being prepared safely. Their prices are average to this type of food but the quality is higher, making it a great value for your money. Kuddos to all of them. Thank you for your fine service.

The not so "Cajun" food. Disappointing.... FAIL.

Food was good, but basically just Panda Express Lite. Got cajun steak, fried rice, lo mein, and chicken roll.

They are light, fluffy, delicious, sugary with just the right amount of dough. They are best eaten fresh right there, and don't make that rookie mistake by inhaling and coughing into that mound of powdered sugar! We also always get one of their Benedict's. My daughter ordered the Eggs Jennifer with crispy potatoes which goes well with their homemade ketchup. You gotta try it. My dad and I shared the bowl of gumbo. Gotta have some with their homemade hot sauce. Yummy roux. And my husband's fave is the sausage gravy. My fork tends to wander around the table so I feel like it was a very fulfilling meal! Service is always friendly and I love all of the Mardi Gras and N'Orleans decorations. I even recognized the picture of Lafitte's bar, the oldest bar in New Orleans on their wall that's a local legend that used to serve pirates. I would LOVE if Lucile's would take over the open spot on Simms, north of 6th, that used to be Campfire Lakewood. It's the perfect building for Lucile's and their wraparound porch and I could visit all the time! I also love going to their Logan St and Evans and Boulder locations. Can you tell I'm a fan?!

Like when the waters from the well flood, but it's grapefruit juice. I'm drinking the grapefruit juice to stop the flooding." And Cutie Pie Sausage sips on his Bloody Mary. "Top 3 bloody Mary's ever. Sausage has a little bit of spice, but not an overwhelming amount of spice... Like a jazz band walking down Bourbon Street in my mouth. I can hear 'When the Saints go Marching in...'" Lil Chile has ordered the blackened salmon plate. While speaking to his fish and asking for blessing to consume it's flesh, he remarks "Wow! I'm properly full. Nice notes of spicy and Louisiany. I feel like Shia Labeouf - I'm ready to rage! I'm ready to choke someone out." Silly has ordered the blackened salmon po boy. As she wraps up eating her meal, the voice of The Spirit of Food speaks through her, "It tasted like Mardi gras. I was getting the beads... You know what I was doing to get the beads" And finally, Cutie Pie has ordered the Biscuits and sausage and gravy. He leans back in his chair, full as can be. "It was overly indulgent, but I'm highly satisfied. I feel like a hippo, not a violent hippo, that needs to sleep." Life is so short and community feels out of reach. BUT when we take moments to help each other, our neighbors, our family, our friends, hope is actively restored to the world and love is a contagious disease that you are coughing on your peers. COUGH COUGH! The spirit of community lives in Lucile's. Our belly's and hearts are full, yet we are light as a feather. Our experience here will DEFINITELY be coming back to the bedroom. It's always a treat - it reminds me of Broussard's, the little Cajun/Creole joint in Loveland that closed down many years ago and was my introduction to the more home-y style of this cuisine. My most recent visit was this past weekend, a Saturday night dinner with judges and club members for the event I was participating in. We sat on the patio, which made for catching some nice evening breezes after being out in the unseasonal, record-breaking heat for the day. Service was a little spotty - friendly, but orders a bit mixed up and plates brought out 2 at a time with significant gaps in-between (which meant it took a while for our party of 7, and I happened to be the last person served). I will say this is unusual, so I'm not sure if it was a new server or if was particularly busy in the kitchen. It may be that since it is not the norm it was all the more noticeable? In any case, I always enjoy the food. This weekend I had the Crawfish Monica served over rice. I'd say that the Monica sauce is more creamy than spicy, which suits me just fine since my spice tolerance has waned as I've gotten older. It came with a house salad on the side - perfect for some relief from the rich, creamy sauce. I will say that the dinner portion is enough for 2 or 3 meals - sadly I forgot my leftovers in the hotel fridge (an all too common occurence).
