ASK THE PERSON IF THEY GET THE TIPS!!!!!! I was told by an employee that they don't??? Which seems wrong to accept tips but not give them to the employees. My question is who's getting the money? The food at Kellys Cajun Grill is a bit hit or miss but overall the bbq pork, honey chicken and bourbon chicken are consistently good. My family and I stick with those three. The service is like the food which is hit or miss. They're not very friendly at this location and check your receipt when you've paid because often they'll ring things up incorrectly. Came to the mall with friends, and before we left, we decided to get a snack. While walking around, we came past this place, and the server was enticing us towards him with a free sample of the teriyaki chicken. He was a great sales man, saying "you dont need to cook at home tonight", "I know good food, look at me" and "I have plenty for you all" he had me dying because be was so funny. I couldn't believe how good that food tasted, I wasn't hungry for a full meal, so i got the kids' meal, and it was the perfect size. Not too much food includes a small drink and a good price. The chicken was some of the best chicken I've ever had! Perfectly cooked, soft, and packed with flavor. This place says Cajun food, but it had a lot of Asian food available, I dont think teriyaki chicken is Cajun, but it was still amazing. read more

It was usual fast food, precooked fare. Staff was not very friendly, food was okay and the cashier was too busy on his phone to even push my food forward from behind the counter after I paid. Had to ask for him to give me the food. It's mall food, reasonable prices and left my stomach a little upside down, thus the 3 stars. I was at Park Meadows Mall with Hubs one of the afternoons in June 2011. Hubs was starving and so do I. We opt to eat in the Dining Area aka The Food Court located inside this mall. That day, I order from the Kelly's Cajun & Grill. I opt for a Shrimp Dish. If I am not mistaken the Shrimp dish is called Shrimp Etouffee. I opt for the Combo. There are many other options from their MENU, such as Bourbon Chicken Combo. They also offer, Fish, Shrimp, Steak and other Chicken dishes to name a few. 2.5 STARS for the FOOD, 3 STARS for the Portion of the Food. All in all, from what I get from the order I request is A-OK since its Shrimp, which comes along with Fried Rice and Fried Crab Rangoon aka Wontons. The Shrimp Etouffee is slightly spicy and have vegetables in the Etouffee. My orders comes with a Drink aka SODA. The portion they gave me was HUGE. Luckily I managed to finish it all since I was starving.. Hehehe ;) Nothing fancy nothing spectacular. What do you expect from a Food Court, right? Well if you go to SINGAPORE, that would definitely be different. False advertising? They claim Cajun, but it's more Chinese than anything. But HUGE servings! But the bad news stops there! Oh my gosh! The seasonings are fabulous and I especially loved the Bourbon Chicken and spicy shrimp on top of lo mein noodles. Talk about GENEROUS portions!!! I cannot eat the whole box of deliciousness by myself, so lunch for tomorrow it is. :-) C'mon folks, stop slamming the place just because it's in a food court. Not much of a Cajun, but a competition run for the Panda Express down the aisle! Would rather dine here than Express because let's know that there are 5773 more locations, honey. Good Chinese scoop- definitely not a Cajun of the selection lacking of lobster. But there are mainly chow mein, Teriyaki Chicken, Veggies, rice etc., and of course a friendly staff who hands out lots of tasty samples. I can say they've done that for a while. We ordered two combos and she charged us for 3 and said that's how we charge for shrimp. $10.50 for a little side of shrimp that comes in the two entree plater. If there is a up charge for shrimp then that's fine but not $10.50 for 5 pieces of shrimp. The manager then came out and started telling the employees that he was going to put us to sleep in front of our kids meaning he was going to fight us over calling them out on a unnecessary charge. I've eaten many times at this location. Food is exceptional. It's true that their name is a bit misleading, most of the items offered are typical of a Chinese food place. But the quality is great. Today I ordered the two-entrée plate, I ordered half portion of fried rice and half portion of lo-main noodles. For my entrees I ordered the breaded fish and steamed veggies. How did they do? Rice is well seasoned, not dry and the sweet peas and carrots still keep a little crunch making the dish very enjoyable. The noodles are by nature greasy but this ones, less greasy than usual, therefore if I may say, more healthier. When it comes to the entrée items, the fish pieces are big, well seasoned, you can taste the fish but without the fishy natural flavor, meaning, the seasonings are well balanced. Each piece is seasoned individually and not "in-mass", therefore all pieces are correctly coded with all the ingredients and seasonings. And the veggies, they can be a meal by itself. Crunchy, well cooked, balanced seasonings. They are so yummy that I did eat the veggies and didn't stop until they were gone. When they were serving my plate, to the server's eye there was not enough food in my plate and she added an extra piece of fish. I couldn't be more thrilled than that. In regards the customer service, the guy that starts your order, so attentive and kind with everyone, even though there was a line as usual. Every person that touches your plate in adding your entrees is very kind and smiley. Same thing with the cashier. Even though this is a very fast-paced restaurant, they don't rush you or are rude to you ever. One more thing I like about them is that you can see the cooks working. Other places put them in the back and God knows what happens there. This one is different so you have the confidence that your meal is being prepared safely. Tried Kelly's Cajun grill for the first time. It will be the last. We were given samples..... So we decided to try anyway. MISTAKE! When we ordered what we sampled, it was NOTHING like what was given as samples.... FLAVORLESS. Like they prepared said samples extra well to entice the potential customer.... Felt like the classic bait and switch. An Asian restaurant naming themselves as Cajun. Thai tea? Lo mein? Asian fried rice? Wontons?!?! Really? I ordered the "blackened" fish, it was flavorless, over cooked fried fish.... The "étouffée" was just shrimp with Sriracha and jalapeños. Nothing about our family's meal was Cajun..... Our family has eaten here many times and I've always been a fan - until today. After ordering entrees for three (me, my wife, our daughter) I went back to ask if I could have a little thing of the bourbon sauce as our chicken was a little on the dry side and was told "That will be one dollar." WHAT?! I said, "I just spent $26 on meals for our family & I can't get a little thing of sauce?!" "I'm sorry sir." And they WOULD NOT give it to me. A dollar. Even a quarter would've been an insult but a buck for nothing other than some juice? Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. All he had to do was say, "Certainly, sir, here you go. I love the bourbon chicken and shrimp combination! They are very generous with the portions and the food is always great. I get cravings for this constantly so I make my wife come with me! It can be busy and seating can be a task when it's really busy at the mall, but worth it. Staff is friendly, samples are fresh and definitely a comfort food for me. read more

Out on Saturday afternoon in the park meadows mall, and got the hunger bug! I've been to the food court here several times but for some reason never noticed the cajun joint! Prices are very reasonable for what they offer - cajun shrimp etofee for just $7.99! Fresh food, outstanding burbon chicken, definitely would recommend the shrimp chicken combo! 8.99, includes two sides! Trash! This place is just trash! Not necessarily the food cuz we used to eat here all the time and it's been ok (for cafeteria style mall food) but the service was unbelievable. No one should feel like they can't ask questions before ordering. The (i'm guessing owner cuz I know an employee would NOT get away with that attitude) lady taking orders was atrocious and just crazy rude. Rolling her eyes and seemingly bothered that we were there in a Sunday trying to eat and support her business. NEVER EVER again will I even look that way while visiting the mall. And then when I said "you know what, never mind cuz you are being extremely rude, we're good" that's when she had the audacity to smile and be content with her behavior as if that was her goal to piss me off. Then she proceeds to point at us as we choose another place to eat (Chinese food place across the dining hall who had common courtesy) and laugh and smilewith her cook. I have been coming here sporadically over the better part of 4 years or so. I will say that the sign is false advertising. It's name is Kelly's Cajun when It is more of an Asian restaurant with a Cajun fingerprint. I dine frequently at Asian restaurants so I know what good and fresh tastes like, and this is it. The portions are extremely generous for what you pay. Years back, a friend and I would each other from Panda and from Kelly's. I would always receive more piping-hot food with a drink than my friend, and she never got a drink and she still would pay more. I love that they always give out samples because that's how I discovered them to begin with! The food is fresh and hot and tastes so delicious. When they say spicy chicken, it's literally spicy chicken with a bite and real Jalapeños in the dish. The service is always friendly and quick. I tried their Thai tea (which is black tea and milk) and it's actually pretty good! This is one of my favorite little restaurants at this mall and I hope they stay! read more

This place may not have much "authentic" Cajun food but there is always a line at lunch time during the week. The flavors are good and, if you ask, they do have tofu ready to prepare anytime. This is by far the busiest place to eat at the mall. read more

So I walked by this place and got a sample of both chicken dishes. I went and shopped for a couple of hours and came back through and asked for another sample to decide what I wanted. The sample girl refused me another sample. I was shocked. She literally said you already had one, I can't do that. I politely said then I can't be a paying customer to your establishment.
