This is one of the restaurants in the Hmart food court. As locals know, the restaurants have changed over a bit over time. This one or at least this style food has been there for a long time. The people who work here seem to be Asian Americans on our visit. They were very nice. They were cranking out a lot of orders on Sat between 11:00-11:45 and the quality was still great. The katsu curry was presented/packed to go even though we ordered for here. Apparently the only difference between to go and for here is the bag and tray. The presentation/packing was a little surprising but worked well as having the curry on the side kept the katsu chicken really crispy and hot as it was fresh out of the fryer. The katsu curry was about $17 on our visit, which is a lot for this dish but probably about right for today's inflation. Further, they gave us a pretty good portion size, which makes u feel better about the price. Small eaters will definitely get two meals out of it. The daikon/onion was not the traditional red kind but instead the white type mixed with onion and was pretty spicy. Didn't use the salad dressing but looked like the sweet Japanese white type that many use for cabbage side salad. The side salad was hot since it was in the same box as the katsu curry. There was one other sauce, which appeared to be ton katsu, but we did not try that one either. The food court is typically busy to crowded on weekends and particularly during meal times. Consequently, it is often average to loud ambiance. The loud speaker over which they call it order number and restaurant name is very loud. Overall, the food court at Hmart is a great place for a quick and casual bite. Tables are a little limited, but u can usually find a spot even when they r busy. If u have a big group then it is better to get it up go and eat elsewhere because it will probably be hard to find a table and even if u get enough seats it will probably be rude to other families and customers with less people who will not be able to eat there. There is plenty of covered parking and open lot parking in the Hmart lot. Just park further and walk if they r super busy--it's not that far. 5 stars, recommend trying, will come again. read more

This has been my go-to place now when i want to eat somewhere that is affordable, has a good value and in a setting where i can grab other things for my shopping on my way in or out. I find myself sitting for hours here enjoying a lot of food at good prices and just the ambience of being in a foodcourt setting. Ther offer a curry dish and a katsu dish with everything they have. The curry dishes just has the item with rice and curry, however, if you add a dollar more, you get a katsu dish when includes a soup and salad. Theyre not stingy with their portions either, so expect all their servings to be huge. Its actually enough for me to take home and feed me for at least two more meals. This place lives up to the hype. Located inside H-Mart, with easy available parking, who would've thought that such a delicous meal would be waiting in store? I heard good things about Kazu Mori, specifically its delicious and oversized portions, and I immediately came to check it out. Service was quick and efficient, and I had my food in less than 5 minutes. I ended up getting the classic chicken katsu, which was around $17-18 with tax. Yes, they accept Apple Pay, for anyone wondering! Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised that they included sides, such as pickled radish and an assortment of sauces. I ended up choosing to take it to-go, simply because I prefer eating in the luxury of my dorm-room. When I opened up my takeout container, I was pleasantly surprised to discover HUGE-pieces of katsu, this meal is enough to feed two people! First thought, "WOW! How did they make this cheese katsu so chewy?! The curry flavor is nice and with a hint of spice (just the way my Vietnamese taste buds like it!) I asked my partner try a bite and he said it was also tasty but something felt off so he continued to eat his Veggie Jjajangmyeon from the next door shop Kyodong Noodle. I had a bite of that and it was so tasty! But back to my katsu, while not thinking much of it, I kept munching and working until I decided to look down to see how much I had left (BTW the portions here was HUGE, so much katsu with a side of rice and salad.) and I saw a white layer hugging the cheese. I decided to become a temp surgeon and went to removing that layer and saw that it was chicken hugging the cheese! My heart fell to my stomach as I have not really ate meat for the past 10 years. It stung me a bit because I asked if this was and they said that it was. Even with the soup we had to ask twice because they seemed a little hesitant on what they used until we finally found out there was dashi powder in it. While the meal was a bit pricy, I felt that it was almost worth it until I was deceived by the cheese that held a melty string to my heart. This restaurant is in a food court alongside Korea and Chinese restaurants in case you have friends who want to accompany you but not eat curry.
