High prices! Some items but brace yourself. Foodland is not too far but still pricey.

Baby they put the "nom" in phenomenal!…read more The wait is ridiculous (line out the door). They need to expand but this review is in spite of that. The garlic shrimp dish?? So good! I smelled it before it was brought to the table! So succulent, so flavorful! Perfect combination with the rice and the salad and fruit! I haven't had anything on the island like this and I've been here a week! I had the pitaya smoothie and the taro bagel. Delicious and delicious. The taro bagel is also beautifully unique. I haven't seen anything like it yet which is weird because it tastes really good. Altogether, it was worth the wait and the hectic environment!

As someone who loves super sweet coffee drinks, I was surprised by just how sweet the drinks here…read morewere. Even for my taste, they were almost overwhelmingly sugary, to the point where I could barely taste the actual coffee. I don't mind a sweeter drink, but I still want to be able to taste the espresso and have some balance between the coffee and the other flavors. The frozen mocha was probably the best example of this. It tasted more like a chocolate milkshake than a coffee drink. It was rich, chocolatey, and definitely delicious if you're in the mood for something sweet, but I could barely taste any coffee in it. I'd consider getting it again as more of a dessert or sweet treat, but definitely not when I'm looking for a caffeine fix. I would have liked a stronger coffee flavor to balance out all the chocolate and sugar. The island latte was again very sweet, I liked the syrups they used but i wish there was a stronger coffee taste. Prices were also on the expensive side, almost $20 for 2 drinks. Parking was another downside, as it was pretty difficult to find a spot nearby. Overall, I'd say this place is better suited for people who enjoy dessert-like coffee drinks rather than those who want a good balance of sweetness and coffee flavor. If you have a serious sweet tooth, you might enjoy it, but even as someone who loves sweet coffee, these drinks were a little too much for me.

My family came here (to the original Kīhei location) 13 years ago when we last visited Maui and we…read moreabsolutely loved it. I really wanted to come this trip, so on our last day we did! We ordered and the guy taking orders was super cool, great energy. Then the lady who was on drink duty was so incredibly rude it killed my vibe. We got a cold brew, a cola and a brewed coffee. I wasn't expecting the cold brew to have cream/milk in it so I politely said "Was this one the cold brew?" She snaps "No, that's the cold brew" and points to the cola. The she asks if my name is my name and says, "No that's the cola, that's the coffee and that's the so ono (cold brew)." So instead of simply confirming that I'm right, she killed my vibe on the whole experience. Foods good but fix the attitude of your employees or good food only gets you so far.

Arrived and the line was out the door, BUT I listened to my fellow helpers and was not discouraged!…read moreThey were right, the line moves fast and there is plenty of seating to choose from AFTER you order. Don't panic, trust the process. The food is divine! Great portions and flavors. The chilaquiles with chorizo were a nice spicy. They do hit but they also have a nice chili flavor so it's not just heat. Loco moco was good. My only change would be to cook the patty a little more on the medium side rather than well done but none the less it was very good. French toast was amazing - no syrup needed!

It was definitely our favorite spot for coffee, and we went there at least five times--more than any other coffeehouse we visited--even though we had to drive 15 minutes to get there each time. The reason is the coffee is just that good, and we appreciated the rotating coffees each day (with a couple of popular types that are always available) so that you can try something new. The iced coffee drinks were amazing with just the right amount of sweetness and a nice, bold coffee taste because of the standard three shots of great espresso in the 20-ounce size. That's right--three shots is the norm. No weak espresso drinks here unless you request it, and why would you? :) My wife loved her hot brewed coffee, sampling different varieties until she landed on the one that suited her most. I tried a number of iced espresso drinks, including the Coconut Mocha, Dulce de Leche, Kahlua and Cream, and the Mexilatte. All of them were good, though if I had to pick a personal favorite, it was the Coconut Mocha, which I ordered twice because it was that good. I'm difficult to please with a coconut mocha because coconut and coffee are a hard combination to get right, but this place knows how to do it. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the store was always clean. There's only a little seating inside and out, but we were usually able to find a place to sit if we wanted to take a couple of minutes to savor our drinks before leaving, but most of the time, we were just getting our drinks to go as we went out to enjoy the great Hawaii weather and activities. Prices here aren't the cheapest, but at least here you are getting your money's worth. Life is too short to drink bad coffee. :) While there are other good coffees on Maui, we thought this place exceeded them all, so I recommend you give them a try and see if you agree after a visit or two.

Quality/Quantity - Shopping for our good friends, coffee connoisseurs…read more Sadly since our/their usual local coffee place burned down with the Lahaina fires, this was the second best option. And while here, I got a cold brew. My wife got lunch and dessert. All of which were good. Ambiance - A small local place. Plenty of mall parking. Open 7 days a week from 6am to 6pm. Service - 6 stars, welcoming and friendly. Price - $60, expensive, but that is the cost for the best (or second best) coffee!! Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 2001.
