Roadrunner Restaurant -- Definitely Worth the Trip!…read more We've been supporting Roadrunner for a couple of months now, and I have to say--there is SO much to do here for everyone! They have bull riding, live music, line dancing, and more. The whole place is set up like an old Western ranch, complete with a gift shop, a HUGE dining area and bar, plus an outdoor patio bar with misters and swamp coolers. And there's bull riding, Waylon's, and plenty more to explore! Now for the most important part--the FOOD! Every plate that comes out of that kitchen is packed with deliciousness. I absolutely LOVE the quesadillas! Their burgers are juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. And wait...there's MORE--they serve breakfast, too! And yes, it's yummy! I truly can't say enough good things about the employees and owners. They are wonderful, welcoming, and make you feel right at home. The crowd can be a little different depending on the day, but that's part of what makes Roadrunner so much fun. There really is something for everyone. If you haven't checked out Roadrunner yet, GO! It's absolutely worth the trip to New River and it's super convenient--just off I-17. Good food. Good people. Good music. Good times. What more could you ask for?

The World Cup was playing, which made for a fun atmosphere, and the chicken gyro platter was absolutely delicious with a generous portion size. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I only wish I lived closer so I could stop in more often. These are the types of restaurants we need to support more--healthy, affordable options that give people, especially our youth, an alternative to constantly relying on fast food chains. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. God bless.

There simply isn't anything about this place that isn't absolutely perfect. I can't believe that I've been raving about Mr. Gyros for years and never taken a moment to rave on Yelp. Admittedly, I've never ventured beyond the traditional gyros wrap. Why? You can't improve on perfection. Or the generous meat portion in these magnificent treats. Every wrap I order takes me back to magic times as a young man in the late 1970s in Chicago where I was introduced to the Gyros by an old Greek street vendor who barely spoke English. The entire menu board screams Chicago, including classic Chicago Dogs, and a variety of Greek inspired take-away sandwiches, wraps, and salads with something for everyone. Saving the best for last, Mr. Gyros has some awesome source for hand crafted authentic classic baklava in both pistachio and walnut versions. Not to be overlooked!!! Good people, awesome food, and a great 'strip mall' location, Mr. Gyros is the Real Deal!!!!!

We got a ton of sushi for the price, and overall the sushi was fresh and tasted good. A couple of notes for future customers: the Kani salad was much spicier than we expected, so if you're expecting a traditional mild Kani salad, just be aware. The sesame chicken was probably the weakest part of the meal--it tasted more like sweet and sour chicken, and the chicken itself was a little dry. Overall, though, we enjoyed the meal and would definitely order again. The value was excellent, and with a few improvements to some of the hot dishes, it could easily be a 5-star experience.

I was happy about the little purse hooks on the table (iykyk). The outside area, not so much. It's on the corner of a strip mall, there was some etched graffiti on the outside windows, which made you aware of the area you were in. (That's the reason for the 1 star deduction.) The place is very small! So yes, you WILL want to make a reservation. We went around 3:30 on a Friday and I would say 3/4 of the tables had reserved signs on them starting at 5pm on up. The receptionist was constantly back and forth looking at them and moving them around to make space for walk-ins. I would skip bringing your kids here. I didn't use the restroom so idk if that was nice or not. The food was fantastic! And the portions were big. The price matched the portions and quality in our opinion. It's hard to find quality food that's worth the cost lately. We enjoyed the chips and salsa. And hubby ordered a Mexican coke, and the server brought him a frosty glass for it. Everyone around us looked like they were enjoying their food. Our server was great. He chatted with us for a while when we told him about seeing the place on IG. He was grateful for the customers. But admitted, it's caused an influx of people and the 'regulars' have become annoyed. Which is understandable. We'd definitely come back if we're in the area but probably not drive that far out of our way again.
